The Schwarze Laber is a river in Bavaria, Germany, and a left tributary of the Danube. Its source is near Neumarkt in der Oberpfalz. It is approx. 78 km long. It flows southeast through the small towns Parsberg, Beratzhausen, Laaber and Deuerling. It flows into the Danube in Sinzing.

Sinzing is a municipality in the district of Regensburg in Bavaria in Germany.

Prüfening Abbey (German: Kloster Prüfening) was a Benedictine monastery on the outskirts of Regensburg in Bavaria, Germany. Since the beginning of the 19th century it has also been known as Prüfening Castle (Schloss Prüfening). Notably, its extant dedicatory inscription, commemorating the founding of the abbey in 1119, was created by printing and is a unique document of medieval typography.

Regensburg-Prüfening station is one of the three railway stations in the German city of Regensburg used for passenger services; the others being Regensburg Hauptbahnhof and Regensburg-Burgweinting. It is located in the west of the city on Prüfeninger Schloßssstraße. In front of the station the track divides into the line to Nuremberg and the Regensburg–Ingolstadt railway to Ingolstadt Hauptbahnhof and Ulm. This crosses the line to Nuremberg shortly after Prüfening station. Regensburg-Prüfening has three platforms. To the south, are platforms 1 and 2 to Nuremberg, and about 100 m north is platform 3 to Ingolstadt. Only Regionalbahn trains stop at the station, which is classified by Deutsche Bahn as a category 5 station. It has connections to Regensburg's city bus services which stop at the Rennplatz bus stop north of the station. The Botanischer Garten der Universität Regensburg is a botanical garden maintained by the University of Regensburg on campus at Universitätsstraße 31, Regensburg, Bavaria, Germany. It comprises 4.5 hectares. The garden is open daily except Saturday in the warmer months. The garden was established in 1977 at the southern edge of the university campus. It consists of a number of different sections, including: Alpine plant garden Aquatic plants Endangered plants of Bavaria Floodplains and swamp collection Geographic collection (4000 m2), containing about 800 species from the American continents, Asia, and Europe Medicinal plant garden Oak-birch forest Systematic collectionThe garden maintains specialist collections of the following genera: Erythronium (18 species), Polygonatum (30), indigenous Rosa (25), indigenous Rubus (70), Sorbus (30), Tricyrtis (14), and Trollius (10). Some collections are open to the public. It also contains four greenhouses (total area 450 m2) with collections of ferns, bromeliads and orchids; carnivorous plants and crops from temperate climates; rainforest plants and tropical crops; cactus and succulents. The garden is linked with a herbarium established in 1790 by the Regensburg Botanical Society, which has been associated with the university since 1973. As of 2002 the herbarium contained 1,350 fascicles with 122,358 specimens.

Prüll Charterhouse, previously Prüll Abbey (Kartause or Kloster Prüll), is a former Carthusian monastery, or charterhouse, in Regensburg in Bavaria, Germany.

The original Jahnstadion Regensburg was a 12,500 capacity stadium in Regensburg, Germany. Until 2015 it was primarily used for football and was the home of SSV Jahn Regensburg. Built in 1926, it also hosted five football matches during the 1972 Summer Olympics. In 2017, it was mostly demolished and replaced by apartments and a school.

The University of Regensburg (German: Universität Regensburg) is a public research university located in the city of Regensburg, Germany. The university was founded on 18 July 1962 by the Landtag of Bavaria as the fourth full-fledged university in Bavaria. Following groundbreaking in 1965, the university officially opened to students during the 1967–1968 winter semester, initially housing faculties in Law and Business Sciences and Philosophy. During the summer semester of 1968 the faculty of Theology was created. Currently, the University of Regensburg houses eleven faculties. The university actively participates in the European Union's SOCRATES programme as well as part of the Compostela-Group. Its most famous academic, the previous Pope Benedict XVI, served as a professor there until 1977 and formally retained his chair in theology.

Regensburg is a city in eastern Bavaria, at the confluence of the Danube, Naab and Regen rivers, Danube's northernmost point. It is the capital of the Upper Palatinate subregion of the state in the south of Germany. With more than 150,000 inhabitants, Regensburg is the fourth-largest city in the State of Bavaria after Munich, Nuremberg and Augsburg. From its foundation as an imperial Roman river fort, the city has been the political, economic and cultural centre of the surrounding region; it is still known in the Romance languages as a cognate of its Latin name of Ratisbona (the version Ratisbon was long current in English). Later, under the rule of the Holy Roman Empire, it housed the Perpetual Diet of Regensburg. The medieval centre of the city was made a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2006 because of its well-preserved architecture, being the biggest medieval city site north of the Alps, and the city's historical importance for assemblies during the Holy Roman Empire. In 2014, Regensburg was among the top sights and travel attractions in Germany.

The Principality of Regensburg (German: Fürstentum Regensburg) was a principality of the Holy Roman Empire that was created in 1803. Its capital was Regensburg. Following the dissolution of the Empire in 1806, the principality became a member state of the Confederation of the Rhine until 1810.

The Regensburg University of Applied Sciences (German: Ostbayerische Technische Hochschule Regensburg, literally: Eastern Bavarian Technical University of Regensburg) is a university of applied sciences (UAS) in Regensburg, Germany. It was founded in 1971 as a college for technology, business and social work, but has roots in the mid 19th century. Today the university is one of the largest institutions of applied sciences in Bavaria. Its eight faculties offer 28 Bachelor's degree programs, 20 Master's degree studies as well as five postgraduate courses. Emphasis is laid on Engineering and Computer Sciences, and Law, Economic and Social Sciences.

The Naab (Czech: Nába) is a river in Bavaria, Germany. This 97.5 kilometer long river is a left tributary of the Danube. Its average discharge at the mouth is 49 m3/s (1,700 cu ft/s).The Naab is formed by the confluence of the Waldnaab and the Haidenaab in Luhe-Wildenau, south of Weiden in der Oberpfalz. It flows generally south, through the towns Nabburg, Schwandorf and Burglengenfeld. It flows into the Danube near Regensburg.
