Byford Secondary College is an Independent Public secondary school in Byford, a suburb 33 kilometres (21 mi) south-east of Perth, Western Australia.

Byford is a suburb on the south-eastern edge of Perth, Western Australia, within the Shire of Serpentine-Jarrahdale. The town has its origins in a township that was gazetted under the name "Beenup" in 1906. In 1920, the name of the township was changed to Byford.

The Armadale Reptile Centre is a reptile zoo (featuring a number of other animals) in Armadale, Western Australia that focuses on herpetology and wildlife endemic to Australia (with a few exotic reptile species as exception). Opened to the public in 1995, the Armadale Reptile Centre houses a large variety of mostly native reptiles and other wildlife with over 50 different reptile species on display, including a large female saltwater crocodile and various species of lizards, snakes and turtles, as well as other animals such as tree frogs, cockatoos, dingoes, emus, marsupials (including kangaroos), owls and wedge-tailed eagles. The centre is also used as a rescue and rehabilitation facility for wildlife that are sick or injured. Klaas and Mieke Gaikhorst built and own the centre, having worked with rescuing and rehabilitating injured or displaced reptiles (and other animals) for more than thirty years.

Australian Christian College – Darling Downs is a Christian co-educational school, located in Brookdale, a suburb of Perth, Western Australia. The school has grades ranging from Kindergarten to Year 8. The school is owned and operated by Christian Education Ministries Ltd and is a member of the Association of Independent Schools of Western Australia. The principal, Jacqui Burrage, previously worked in leadership positions at a number of Christian schools in Western Australia. Most students who attend the school reside in the southeast corridor of Perth, with a school bus service available.

Wungong Regional Park is a conservation park near Bedfordale in the Perth Hills, 20 kilometres south-east of Perth, Western Australia, located within the City of Armadale.

Wungong Dam is a dam in Western Australia. It is located in the Wungong Brook Valley of the Darling Range, eight kilometres south of Churchman Brook Dam. It opened in 1925 as part of a scheme to build three reservoirs in the Darling Range. It has a capacity of 59.8 gigalitres and a catchment area of 132km2

Whitby is a suburb of Perth, Western Australia, located near the South Western Highway in the Shire of Serpentine-Jarrahdale. It is named after the nearby Whitby Falls, with the name approved for the locality in November 1988. Whitby Falls had previously been called in Noongar as Mundajill, but was renamed by settler Henry Mead in 1848, who bought property in the area for farming as the Whitby Falls estate. The land was subsequently bought by the government of Western Australia in 1897 and turned into the Whitby Falls Hospital for the mentally-ill. The hospital closed in 2006 as the longest operating facility in Western Australia for the care and treatment of mental illness.
