Wungong, Western Australia

Darling Downs is an outer south-eastern suburb of Perth, Western Australia, within the Shire of Serpentine-Jarrahdale. The name, referring to the suburb's proximity to the Darling Scarp, was first used as an estate name in 1977, and adopted as a suburb name in 1997.

The Armadale Reptile Centre is a reptile zoo (featuring a number of other animals) in Armadale, Western Australia that focuses on herpetology and wildlife endemic to Australia (with a few exotic reptile species as exception). Opened to the public in 1995, the Armadale Reptile Centre houses a large variety of mostly native reptiles and other wildlife with over 50 different reptile species on display, including a large female saltwater crocodile and various species of lizards, snakes and turtles, as well as other animals such as tree frogs, cockatoos, dingoes, emus, marsupials (including kangaroos), owls and wedge-tailed eagles. The centre is also used as a rescue and rehabilitation facility for wildlife that are sick or injured. Klaas and Mieke Gaikhorst built and own the centre, having worked with rescuing and rehabilitating injured or displaced reptiles (and other animals) for more than thirty years.

The Wungong Tunnel links the Wungong Dam to Perth, Western Australia's Integrated Water Supply System.It originates just west of Wungong Dam and runs through the granite Darling Scarp to the western portal in Rails Crescent, Wungong. Built by a joint Venture of Clough, Codelfa and Cogefur, and with a length of 3.7 kilometres (2.3 mi), it opened in 1982.

Australian Christian College – Darling Downs is a Christian co-educational school, located in Brookdale, a suburb of Perth, Western Australia. The school has grades ranging from Kindergarten to Year 8. The school is owned and operated by Christian Education Ministries Ltd and is a member of the Association of Independent Schools of Western Australia. The principal, Jacqui Burrage, previously worked in leadership positions at a number of Christian schools in Western Australia. Most students who attend the school reside in the southeast corridor of Perth, with a school bus service available.

Brookdale is a suburb of Perth, Western Australia, located within the City of Armadale. Formerly part of the district of Wungong, Brookdale was gazetted in 1997.

Armadale Senior High School is a public co-educational specialist high day school, located on the South Western Highway, in the Perth suburb of Armadale, Western Australia. The school provides specialist programs in the areas of academic extension, visual arts, information technology and industry programs.

Mount Richon is a suburb of Perth, Western Australia in the City of Armadale. Formerly part of Armadale and Wungong, Mount Richon was approved as a suburb in 2003. It occupies the western slope of the Darling Range from the intersection of Albany and South Western Highways south to Leys Rise, is bounded on the west by South-Western Highway and is bounded on the east by Albany Highway and Bungendore Park. Mount Richon is named after a vineyard that formerly existed in the area.

The Old Jarrah tree is an exceptionally large and old Eucalyptus marginata (Jarrah) tree near inside the carpark the entrance at the corner Third Road and Church Avenue in Armadale, Western Australia. It is estimated to be between 400 and 800 years old. Trees of such a great size and age are rare in and around the Perth metropolitan area, because of extensive logging of the area in the 19th century. The tree is in fairly poor condition: about three quarters of its canopy is dead or gone, and it is less than half its normal height due to lopping. It was ringbarked by vandals in 1997, and it has responded by producing numerous epicormic shoots on its north side. Despite these issues, the tree is considered to be in a stable condition. Attempts to have the tree destroyed were twice defeated by community groups, in 1987 and again in 1997. In 1997 a Conservation Order was issued for the tree after the Minister for Heritage received 1,147 submissions asking that it be saved. It is now part of the Bicentennial Heritage Tree Trail, and is included on both the Heritage Council of Western Australia's Register of Heritage Areas and the Tree Register of the National Trust of Australia (Western Australia). It is one of only three trees or groups of trees in Western Australia to be heritage listed.

Armadale railway station is located on the South Western Railway, 30 kilometres from Perth station serving the suburb of Armadale, Brookdale and Haynes. It is the terminating point for Transperth Armadale line services and a calling point for Transwa Australind services.

The City of Armadale is a local government area in the southeastern suburbs of the Western Australian capital city of Perth, about 28 kilometres (17.4 mi) southeast of Perth's central business district. The City covers an area of 560 square kilometres (216 sq mi), much of which is state forest rising into the Darling Scarp to the east, and had a population of almost 80,000 as at the 2016 Census.

Armadale is a suburb of Perth within the City of Armadale, located on the south-eastern edge of the Perth metropolitan region. The major junction of the South Western and Albany Highways, which connect Perth with the South West and Great Southern regions of Western Australia respectively, is located within the suburb. It is also the terminus of the Armadale railway line, one of five major railway lines to service Perth.

Hilbert is a suburb of Perth, Western Australia, located within the City of Armadale. This rural and semi-rural suburb is located on the city's fringe, and in the 2010s began to be subdivided for urban purposes. The name was derived from the Hilbert family who were dairy farmers within the area. A road was proposed through Wilhelm Hermann (known as Herman or Harry) Hilbert's property in 1899, and in 1966 the unconstructed road reserve was named "Hilbert Road". There is also a large wetland in the locality generally referred to as the Hilbert Road Swamp.The locality was formed from the suburb of Brookdale on 1 April 2008, and on 4 October 2011 the suburb's western boundary was amended to coincide with the centreline of Tonkin Highway.Hilbert is home to the popular Shipwreck Park, a $4.8million park that spans 6 hectares and features a 30 metre shipwreck-themed playground. The playground was designed in collaboration with the Touched By Olivia Foundation, the City of Armadale, local schools and community groups to ensure children of all abilities can play together, including those with physical disabilities, vision, hearing and mobility impairments, or spectrum disorders such as autism.In May 2023, a Retail Centre Development Application was lodged to bring a town centre to Hilbert, on Weatherly Way within Stockland's Sienna Wood community. In July 2023 Stage 1 Civil Works were completed.
