Brent Eleigh

The church of St Mary the Virgin is the parish church of Brent Eleigh, Suffolk, England. It is a Grade I listed building It was built around 1250.

Brent Eleigh Woods is a 31.7-hectare (78-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest south-east of Lavenham in Suffolk.This site consists of three separate areas, Spragg's, Langley and Camps Woods. They are ancient woodland on calcareous clay soils. The main trees are oak and ash, and there are ponds and a stream.The woods are private land with no public access.

Originally built in the 14th century it suffered lightning damage in 1758, and was substantially restored by Arthur Blomfield in 1868. It is a Grade I listed building. Lavenham Priory is a 13th-century Grade I listed building in Lavenham, Suffolk, England. Aubrey de Vere I was the Lord of the Manor, according to the Domesday Book of 1086. In the early 13th Century De Vere gifted the property to an Order of Benedictine Monks. It was a monastic house until probably the early part of the 15th Century, after which it was acquired by Roger Ruggles - who made a fortune from the cloth industry. It is rumoured that Henry VIII's Comptroller was dispatched to Lavenham (and specifically to Lavenham Priory) and fined the then owner the equivalent today of £1 million for "displaying too much ostentatious wealth". This may explain the Tudor pargeting on the front of the building. For the past 20 years Lavenham Priory has operated as a boutique guest house.

Lavenham railway station was a station in Lavenham, Suffolk, on the Long Melford–Bury St Edmunds branch line. It closed to passengers in 1961, and the station buildings remained in use as offices until about 2010, when they were demolished.

Kettlebaston is a village and a civil parish with just over 30 inhabitants in the Babergh district of Suffolk, England, located around 3 miles (5 km) east of Lavenham. From the 2011 Census the population of the village was not maintained and is included in the civil parish of Chelsworth. It derives its name from Kitelbeornastuna, (Kitelbjorn's farmstead - O.Scand. pers. name + O.E. Tun), later evolving to Kettlebarston, (which is how the name is still pronounced), and finally to the current spelling. Its existence was first recorded in 1086 in the Domesday Book.
