Delmenhorst

The Nordwolle or more correctly the Nordwolle museum or the Nordwestdeutsche Museum für IndustrieKultur is situated in and around the engine house of the former Norddeutsche Wollkämmerei & Kammgarnspinnerei in Delmenhorst. Nordwolle was a dominant company that processed wool and worsted, it closed between 1981 and 1984. The building and the factory housing is listed as a Denkmalschutz The museum is an Anchor point on the European Route of Industrial Heritage.

Bremen-Mahndorf (German: Bahnhof Bremen-Mahndorf) is a railway station located in the Mahndorf area of Bremen, Germany. The station is located on the Bremen–Hanover railway. The train services are operated by Deutsche Bahn and NordWestBahn. The station has been part of the Bremen S-Bahn since December 2010.

Dünsener Bach (in its lower course: Pultern) is a river of Lower Saxony, Germany. It flows into the Varreler Bäke east of Delmenhorst.

The Varreler Bäke (in its upper course: Klosterbach) is a stream of Lower Saxony and Bremen, Germany. As Klosterbach it flows south of Bremen on Lower Saxon territory through the villages of Bassum, Kirchseelte and Heiligenrode (a district of Stuhr). From Tölkenbrück (Varrel, a district of Stuhr), the Klosterbach is given the name Varreler Bäke. This then flows for a short distance through the district of Diepholz (Lower Saxony). It then continues through the city-state of Bremen through Huchting and discharges into the Ochtum near the village of Strom. The Varreler Bäke proper has a length of about 6 km (3.7 mi); together with the Klosterbach it is 41 km (25 mi) long. It is part of the Weser basin. In Varrel there is still a water mill, witness to the fact that the water power of streams was once used to generate power in order to run corn mills.

Ganderkesee (Northern Low Saxon: Gannerseer) is a municipality in Oldenburg district, in Lower Saxony, Germany.

Groß Ippener is a municipality in the district of Oldenburg in Lower Saxony, Germany. The municipality consists of the sub-municipalities of Groß Ippener, Klein Ippener, Annen and Ortholz. To the North it borders the town of Delmenhorst, to the east the municipality of Stuhr, to the southeast the municipality of Kirchseelte, to the south the municipality of Dünsen, to the southwest the municipality of Harpstedt and to the west the municipality Prinzhöfte.

ArcelorMittal Bremen is a steelworks on the banks of the River Weser in Bremen, Germany. An ironworks was established on the site in 1911 as Norddeutsche Hütte - much of the works was destroyed or dismantled during and immediately after the end of the Second World War. In 1957 steel group Klöckner established a new steel works on the same site, Klöckner Hütte Bremen. After growth during the 1960s and 1970s the business began to experience financial problems, and in the early 1990s Klöckner became effectively bankrupt. In 1994 the steelworks at Bremen was acquired by Sidmar, renamed Stahlwerke Bremen; it later became part of Usinor, Arcelor (2002), and ArcelorMittal (2006) through mergers of the parent holding company.

Bundesautobahn 281 (translates from German as Federal Motorway 281, short form Autobahn 281, abbreviated as BAB 281 or A 281) is an autobahn in Bremen in northwestern Germany. The first part was opened in 1995, parts near the Bremen Airport are currently under construction. A second Weser tunnel will be part of the project, presumably being financed as a toll road and built by a private contractor.

Bremen-Sebaldsbrück (German: Bahnhof Bremen-Sebaldsbrück) is a railway station located in Bremen, Germany. The station is located on the Bremen–Hanover railway. The train services are operated by NordWestBahn. The station has been part of the Bremen S-Bahn since December 2010.
