KBUL-FM

KNCJ (89.5 FM) is a National Public Radio station in Reno, Nevada. Owned and operated by the University of Nevada, Reno, it provides a schedule of classical music and jazz and complements KUNR. KNCJ signed on December 1, 2016 after the university obtained the station's license from Truckee Meadows Community College. Programming consists of hourly NPR newscasts with most music, mainly classical, coming from the Classical 24 service with jazz from PRI on weekends.

KUNR (88.7 FM) is the flagship National Public Radio station in Reno, Nevada. Owned and operated by the University of Nevada, Reno, it is a typical full-service public radio outlet airing NPR news and talk. KUNR signed on in October 1963. It did not join NPR until 1981. It also serves as Carson City's NPR news affiliate.

KNEV (95.5 FM) is a commercial radio station located in Reno, Nevada. KNEV airs a classic hip hop music format branded as "95.5 The Vibe". The station rebroadcasts on translator K257AX at 99.3 FM in Battle Mountain, Nevada. It is owned by Cumulus Media. Its studios are located on Plumb Lane in South Reno, and its transmitter is located on McClellan Peak northeast of Carson City, Nevada.

KKFT (99.1 MHz, "99.1 FM Talk") is a commercial FM radio station licensed to Gardnerville–Minden, Nevada, and broadcasting to the Reno–Carson City radio market. KKFT airs a talk radio format and is owned and operated by the Evans Broadcast Group.Studios and offices are on Idaho Street in Carson City. The main transmitter is off Goni Road, also in Carson City. KKFT can also be heard on a 3,250-watt booster station, KKFT-FM1 in Stateline, Nevada.

KWEE (100.1 FM, "100.1 The Hits") is a commercial radio station licensed to Dayton, Nevada, and serving the Reno metropolitan area and Lake Tahoe. It is owned by Lotus Communications and broadcasts an adult hits radio format. The radio studios are on Plumb Lane in South Reno. KWEE has an effective radiated power (ERP) of 12,000 watts. The transmitter is near Sunil Pandit Road on McClellan Peak northeast of Carson City. Programming is also heard on an FM translator in Crystal Bay, Nevada, K240CA at 95.9 MHz.

KOLC (97.3 FM) is a commercial radio station located in Carson City, Nevada, broadcasting to the Reno, Nevada, Carson City and Lake Tahoe areas. KOLC, known as Ten Country, broadcasts a country music format. Its studios are located on Plumb Lane in South Reno, and its transmitter is located on McClellan Peak northeast of Carson City, Nevada.

KPGF (93.7 MHz) is a commercial FM radio station licensed to Sun Valley, Nevada, and broadcasting to the Reno metropolitan area. It is owned by Flinn Broadcasting and airs a Western talk and music radio format.

Mound House is a small unincorporated community in Lyon County, Nevada on U.S. Route 50 that is situated between Nevada's capital, Carson City, and Dayton. Its elevation is 4,974 feet (1,516 m). It is in Lyon County, one of eight Nevada counties that allow for legalized prostitution, and is home to four brothels.

The Moonlite BunnyRanch is a legal, licensed brothel in Mound House, Nevada, United States, 6 miles (10 km) east of Carson City. First opened in 1955, it came to national attention under Dennis Hof, who owned the brothel from 1992 until his death in 2018.

Gold Hill is an unincorporated community in Storey County, Nevada, United States, located approximately 1.5 miles (2.4 km) south of Virginia City. The town was established in 1859 following the discovery of gold. Gold Hill developed into a major mining and milling center on the Comstock Lode in the 1860s and 1870s, with mines such as the Yellow Jacket, Crown Point, Kentuck, and Belcher among the district's leading producers. As Comstock mining started to decline in the late 1870s, Gold Hill entered a period of economic decline, with many mines and businesses closing by the end of the nineteenth century. Mining activity briefly revived during the 1920s, in connection with a cyanide mill at nearby American Flat. Although the original Virginia & Truckee Railroad ceased operations in the early twentieth century, the line was later reconstructed as a heritage railroad. Today, Gold Hill is part of the Comstock Historic District and a tourist destination known for its historic buildings and restored railroad depot

Mount Davidson is both the highest and most topographically prominent mountain in both Storey County, Nevada, and the Virginia Range. The mountain forms a backdrop for the mining boomtown of Virginia City which was built above the Comstock Lode silver strike. Mount Davidson was named after Donald Davidson, a geologist.Mark Twain mentions a flag on Mount Davidson in his semi-autobiographical book Roughing It. As of 2003 the flagpole was still standing.

The Kit Kat Guest Ranch is a legal, licensed brothel in the US state of Nevada located about 7 miles (11 km) east of Carson City in the unincorporated town of Mound House, in Lyon County, at 48 Kit Kat Drive. The ranch was owned by Dennis Hof until his death in October 2018.It sits along the east side of a loop at the south end of Kit Kat Drive, which also is the home to two other brothels owned by Hof: The Love Ranch and the Sagebrush Ranch. The name of this brothel is often shortened to the Kit Kat Ranch.
