Burchetts Green

Littlewick Green is a village in the north of civil parish of White Waltham (where the 2011 Census was included) and the south of the civil parish of Hurley, near Maidenhead in Berkshire, England. The village is set around a village green, and includes the Church of England parish church of St John the Evangelist (built in 1893), The Cricketers public house, village hall and parish school (now a private dwelling). Stubbings is a hamlet in the civil parish of Bisham, west of Maidenhead, in the English county of Berkshire. Stubbings House mansion was very briefly the home of Guy Carleton, 1st Baron Dorchester, the Governor of Quebec and later, during World War II, of Queen Wilhelmina of the Netherlands. Another notable resident from 1947 to 1969 was physicist Sir Thomas Merton inventor of the "one-shilling rangefinder" which brought down flying bombs at a range of 300 yards. The house, built by barrister Humphry Ambler about 1740, is located on an 80-acre (32 ha) estate just east of Burchetts Green.

Temple Golf Club is a golf club located in Hurley, Berkshire, England. It is about 2 miles northwest of Maidenhead. It was opened in 1910. The course was designed by Willie Park Jr. It is recognised for its scenic beauty and its emphasis on sustainable environmental management.

Carpenter's Wood is a 21.4-hectare (53-acre) Local Nature Reserve west of Maidenhead in Berkshire. It is owned by the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead and managed by The Woodland Trust.The site consists of two adjacent woods, Carpenter's Wood and Dungrovehill Wood. It lost half of its mature beech trees in the storms of 1987 and the early 1990s.There is access from Dungrovehill Lane.

Cookham was a rural district in Berkshire, England from 1894 to 1974. The district was formed by the Local Government Act 1894 as a successor to the Cookham rural sanitary district. It continued in existence until 1974, when it was abolished under the Local Government Act 1972, forming part of the new Windsor and Maidenhead district.

Knowl Hill is a village in the civil parish of Hurley in Berkshire, England. It is 5 miles (8 km) west of Maidenhead on the A4 road toward Reading. In the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries it was the southern terminus of the Hatfield and Reading Turnpike that allowed travelers from the north to continue their journey to the west without going through the congestion of London. The village has a Church of England parish church, a primary school, a café and a tool shop. It has three pubs: the Bird in Hand, the New Inn and the Royal Oak. A fourth pub, the Seven Stars, a Grade II listed building, ceased trading in 2012 and has been converted into domestic accommodation. St Peter's parish church was designed by JC and G Buckler and built in 1840. Its chancel was designed by W Scott Champion and added in 1870.On the south side of the A4 is Knowl Hill Common, a hill with a view toward Windsor Castle which can be seen on a clear day. Also on the south side is a small wood called The Clumps, the name being derived from two separate groups of trees that were once significantly taller than the rest and clumped in the middle.

Hurley is a village and rural civil parish in Berkshire, England. Its riverside is agricultural, except for Hurley Priory, as are the outskirts of the village. The Olde Bell Inn adjoining the priory is believed to date from 1135.

White Waltham Airfield (ICAO: EGLM) is an operational general aviation aerodrome located at White Waltham, 2 nautical miles (3.7 km; 2.3 mi) southwest of Maidenhead, in the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead in Berkshire, England. This large grass airfield is best known for its association with the Air Transport Auxiliary from 1940 to 1945 and also has a significant history of prewar flying training, wartime and postwar RAF use and postwar use as a flight test centre by the Fairey and Westland aircraft companies. In the mid-1950s it was HQ of RAF Home Command. It is now privately owned and is the home of the West London Aero Club.

Bradnam Wood is a 12.5-hectare (31-acre) Local Nature Reserve west of Maidenhead in Berkshire. It is owned by the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead and managed by The Woodland Trust.This site has mature woodland at the northern end and more recently planted trees in the south. In the middle is a field which has chalk grassland plants and large anthills.There is access from Marlow Road.

Temple Lock is a lock and weir situated on the Buckinghamshire bank of the River Thames near Temple Mill Island opposite Temple Meadows and not far from Hurley, Berkshire. It was first built by the Thames Navigation Commissioners in 1773. The weir runs across from the lock to the Berkshire bank a short distance upstream of the lock.
