Wayne Valley High School is a comprehensive four-year public high school, in Wayne, in Passaic County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. The school serves students in ninth through twelfth grades as one of the two secondary schools of the Wayne Public Schools, the other being Wayne Hills High School. The school is also accredited by the New Jersey Department of Education and has been accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Elementary and Secondary Schools since 1954. Wayne Valley's school colors are blue and white.As of the 2021–22 school year, the school had an enrollment of 1,204 students and 115.0 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 10.5:1. There were 74 students (6.1% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 5 (0.4% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.

Preakness Stud was the Thoroughbred horse racing and breeding operation established by Medway, Massachusetts businessman Milton H. Sanford in the Preakness section of Wayne, New Jersey at what today is the corner of Valley Road and Preakness Avenue.Milton Sanford named one of his horses Preakness who won the first running of the Dinner Party Stakes and for whom the Preakness Stakes is named.

Preakness Valley Park and Golf Course is located in Wayne Township and Totowa Borough, New Jersey, United States, along Totowa Road (County Road 644) and Riverview Drive (County Road 640). Of the total 377 acres in the park, 298 acres are located in Wayne and 79 are located in Totowa. The park contains a Golf Course, which is a public 36 hole course. Made public in 1931, this full service course is considered the first public golf course in Passaic County. It has a clubhouse, caddy house, practice facilities, and on site maintenance facilities. Also located on the park is Dey Mansion, a historical site famous for being George Washington's headquarters twice during the American Revolutionary War. The mansion was constructed around 1770, and has been county owned since 1930. NJ Transit Bus Route 197 provides service to this park.

It is a non-profitable organization created in 1976 that teaches Sanskrit; Indian & Hindu Philosophy; teaches the life of Sri Ramakrishna, Sri Sarada Devi, and Swami Vivekananda; and more to grades Kindergarten to 12. Vivekananda Vidyapith takes its philosophical inspiration from Swami Vivekananda, a nineteenth and early twentieth-century teacher and explorer of Vedanta, or Indian philosophy. As of the 2022–23 school year, the school had an enrollment of 3,359 students and 286.0 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 11.7:1. There were 1,598 students (47.6% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 320 (9.5% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.
