The 1905 UCI Track Cycling World Championships were the World Championship for track cycling. They took place in Antwerp, Belgium from 16 to 23 July 1905. Four events for men were contested, two for professionals and two for amateurs.

Zurenborg is an area in south-east Antwerp largely developed between 1894 and 1906 that features a high concentration of townhouses in Art Nouveau and other fin-de-siècle styles.Together with Zuid, the urban quarter around the Royal Museum of Fine Arts, Zurenborg is unique in Antwerp in that it is among the few areas in the city developed according to an urban plan in the late 19th century. The new neighbourhood reflected Antwerp's growing wealth, linked to growing port and trade activities, well. The northern - largest - area of Zurenborg, centered around Dageraadplaats, was mainly developed for the middle class, while the southern area, around Cogels Osylei, was mainly targeted to the well to do. The most eastern corner, which currently includes a bus yard of the public transport company and a power transfer station, was more devoted to industries and logistics, including a gas factory and a terminus station of a regional tram system. Engetrim, a development and construction company, had the lead in developing Zurenborg. Before, Zurenborg was an agricultural area dominated by an estate belonging to the Osy family.

The Flemish Tram and Bus Museum (Dutch: Vlaams Tram- en Autobusmuseum, abbreviated as VlaTAM) is a museum of public transport that exhibits historical trams and buses. The museum is situated in the Berchem district of Antwerp, in the former tram shed of Groenenhoek. The museum is supported by transport company De Lijn. It mainly exhibits trams and buses of the Vicinal company, the city tram companies of Antwerp and Ghent, and the various subcontractors of Vicinal and De Lijn. Its collection includes the only surviving gyrobus in the world and the first electric tram built for Antwerp, as well as numerous other artefacts connected to the history of public transport in Belgium. The museum reopened to the general public on 16 June 2019 after renovation of the roof of the building. The archives and the library of the museum are open by appointment.

Antwerpen-Berchem is a railway station in the south of the city of Antwerp, Antwerp, Belgium. The station opened on 1 March 1865 and currently serves railway lines 25, 27, 27A and 59.

Handel premetro station is an Antwerp premetro station. Located under the intersection of the Handelsstraat with the Lange Stuivenbergstraat, it is served by lines 2, 3, 5 and 6. Handel premetro station is the smallest premetro station in Antwerp. It is completely decorated with the colors of transport company De Lijn. The -1 level has a small ticket hall with access to the platforms; there is only one exit. The -2 level has a 60-meter platform for trains going toward Elisabeth station, the -3 level has the platform for trains going toward premetro Schijnpoort station. In 1996 only line 3 served this premetro station. In 2006 line 5 was added, in 2007 line 6 was added and in 2012 line 2 was connected.

The Eisenmann Synagogue is an historic synagogue in Antwerp, Belgium. It was built by Jacob Eisenmann in 1907 and is the only synagogue in Antwerp to have survived the Holocaust and the Nazi occupation of Belgium.

Velodroom Zurenborg was a cycling track in the Zurenborg area in Antwerp, Belgium. The facility existed from 1894 to 1910 and the length of the cycling track was 400 m. It hosted the world track cycling championships in 1894 and 1905.

Antwerp Zoo (Dutch: ZOO Antwerpen) is a zoo in the centre of Antwerp, Belgium, located next to the Antwerpen-Centraal railway station. It is the oldest animal park in the country, and one of the oldest in the world, established on 21 July 1843.

Lotto Arena is an arena in Antwerp, Belgium. It has a seating capacity for 8,050 people for concerts and 5,218 for sporting events. The arena opened on March 10, 2007, after nine months of construction. It is located in the district of Merksem, adjacent to the Sportpaleis. The Antwerp Giants basketball club uses the arena as its home venue. It also hosts the European Open, a tennis tournament part of the ATP World Tour 250 series.

Plantin premetro station is an Antwerp premetro station. Located under the intersection of Simonsstraat with the Plantin en Moretuslei, it is served by lines 2, 6, 9 and 15. Opened in 1980, the station reflects the 'richer' period of the MIVA - the Antwerp transport company which was later merged into De Lijn - and is decorated in marble. The layout consists of three levels, of which the first (-1) contains a ticket hall and four exits towards street level (corresponding to the intersection under which it lies). Level -2 comprises the platform serving northbound trains to Diamant, whilst Level -3 comprises the southbound platform towards the premetro tunnel exits at the Belgiëlei, used by routes 2, 6 and 15, and Mercatorstraat, used by route 9.

The Switel Hotel fire took place on 31 December 1994 during a New Year's Eve party in the Switel Hotel at the Kievitplein in Antwerp, Belgium.

Reverze is an annual international music event held in the Sportpaleis and Lotto Arena in Antwerp, Belgium. Represented music genres are Jumpstyle, hardstyle and hardcore. The previous edition was held on 27 February 2016. Every year, Bass Events designs a poster for Reverze that represents the theme of that year.
