WIVM-LD, virtual channel 39 (UHF digital channel 34), is a low-powered television station licensed to Canton, Ohio, United States. WIVN-LD (virtual channel 29 and VHF digital channel 5) and WIVD-LD (virtual and UHF digital channel 26) in Newcomerstown, and WIVX-LD (virtual and VHF digital channel 13) in Akron are translators of WIVM-LD. The stations are owned by Image Video Teleproductions, and simulcast all programming on all channels. WIVM-LD is carried by Spectrum Cable on channel 989 in Stark County and on Massillon Cable, channel 21 and 128. WIVN-LD is carried by Spectrum Cable on channel 15 & channel 989 in Tuscarawas, Holmes & Carroll Counties. In the Newcomerstown area, WIVN-LD is now channel 96 on Spectrum Cable.

Cairo is an unincorporated community that lies upon the border of Lake Township and Plain Township within Stark County, Ohio, United States. Its altitude is 1,145 feet (349 m). The community is part of the Canton–Massillon Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in 1953 and completed in 1954, the John and Syd Dobkins House is one of three Wright-designed Usonian houses in Canton, Ohio. Located farther east than the Nathan Rubin Residence and the Ellis A. Feiman House, it is set back from the road. It's a modest sized home with two bedrooms, and one and a half baths. Its distinctive geometric design module is based upon an equilateral triangle (unit size 4 feet). The mortar in the deep red bricks was deeply raked to emphasize the horizontal. (Storrer: 388) Construction was supervised by Allan J. Gelbin, a Wright apprentice the architect sent from the Taliesin Fellowship. Gelbin acted as construction supervisor and contractor on this building as well as the two other buildings in Canton (the Rubin and Feiman houses). (Storrer: 388) The Gelbin house was built on a five-acre parcel that was once a cornfield. Along with a design for the house, Wright created an ingenious planting plan for the property which featured 14 pin oak trees planted in perfect relation to the structure. The home was purchased and restored by current homeowners, Dan and Dianne Chrzanowski.

Pleasant View School for the Arts, frequently referred to as PVSA or simply PV, was a co-educational public magnet school dedicated to the arts in the Plain Local School District in Canton, Ohio. Students from the district's 5 elementary schools were invited to "identify" for the school in the 3rd grade. This "identification" process had students demonstrate their abilities in the four designated Arts: Dance, Music, Drama, and Visual Art. The school accepted an average of 80 students per year, and spanned the 4th-8th grade, though it was technically identified as a middle school.

St. Thomas Aquinas High School (STA) is a private, Catholic co-educational high school located in Louisville, Ohio, United States, run by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Youngstown. It was founded in 1964 to serve the Catholic families of eastern Stark County and parts of Portage County. When it opened, Aquinas enrolled both male and female students, but was a single-sex educational institution, as boys and girls attended classes within separate wings of the school. STA began practicing its current co-educational format in 1970.
