Linderud is a station on Grorud Line of the Oslo Metro located between Vollebekk and Veitvet in Norway. The station is located in the Bjerke borough. Linderud is a residential area, with several tall apartment buildings. The area has a modern shopping centre (formerly known as EPA Centre), located 400 meters (1,300 ft) from the station.

Vollebekk is a station on Grorud Line (line 5) of the Oslo Metro. It is located between the stations of Risløkka and Linderud and is 7.1 kilometers (4.4 mi) from Stortinget. The station is among the original ones on Grorudbanen, and opened on 10 October 1966. Peer Qvaam was the station's architect.The local road Lunden passes under the station immediately north of the station. There is no major bus connection, although there is a bus stop on the Østre Aker Vei highway to the south. The railway station Alna is also nearby and there are plans to connect the two stations by means of a pedestrian and bicycle path in 2009.

Veitvet is a station on Grorud Line (Line 5) on the Oslo Metro. It is located at Veitvet between Linderud and Rødtvet, 8.4 kilometers (5.2 mi) from Stortinget. It was opened on 16 October 1966. Like much of the eastern subway network, the station is located in a largely residential area with apartment buildings. The station is located just north of the Veitvet Shopping Centre.

Alna Station (Norwegian: Alna holdeplass) is a railway station on the Trunk Line located at Alnabru in the Alna borough of Oslo, Norway. Situated 6.87 kilometers (4.27 mi) from Oslo Central Station, it consists of an island platform along a double tracked line. Alna is served by the L1 line of the Oslo Commuter Rail. The station was opened on 7 June 1971, replacing Alnabru Station. The former was dismantled to make room for Alnabru Freight Terminal. The station serves mostly an industrial area.

Alnabru Station (Norwegian: Alnabru stasjon) was a railway station on the Trunk Line located in the Alnabru neighborhood of Oslo, Norway. Situated 6.50 kilometers (4.04 mi) from Oslo Central Station, it was built primarily as a cargo handling station, although it also served passengers. The station building was designed by Finn Ivar Andreas Knudsen. The station opened on 20 January 1902 at the same time as the Trunk Line received double track. It was named Alna until 1 May. The Alna Line was built as a branch of the Gjøvik Line, allowing cargo trains to run to Alnabru. The Loenga–Alnabru Line opened in 1907, connecting the Østfold Line to Alnabru. The station remained in service until 14 June 1971. It was thereafter demolished to make room for Alnabru Freight Terminal. The Trunk Line was moved around the terminal and Alna Station opened on it to serve commuter trains.

Tonsenhagen is a neighborhood in the borough of Bjerke in northeast Oslo, Norway. Built in the 1950s, it was one of the early new suburbs within Oslo. The neighborhood is situated on a hillside overlooking Oslo and the Grorud Valley, surrounded by forest and near the ski resort of Grefsenkollen. There is a local school, for which the first headmaster was Rolf Ridar, and the Norwegian children's play and book writer Ingebrigt Davik was once a teacher there.

Veitvet is a neighborhood in the Bjerke borough of Oslo, Norway. The area borders to Linderud, Tonsenhagen and Bredtvet.Veitvet senter is located in the neighborhood which was Norway's first shopping mall and was Scandinavia's largest when it opened in 1958. The area is served by the Veitvet metro station.

Årvoll is a residential community situated in the Bjerke district of Oslo, Norway. It was here that anti-Nazi activists Viggo Hansteen and Rolf Wickstrøm – the first two Norwegians to be executed by the Nazis during the five-year German occupation of Norway – lost their lives on September 10, 1941.

Alnabru is a neighbourhood of north-eastern Oslo. It lies in the middle of the southern part of the Grorud valley (Groruddalen). The name – which means "Alna bridge" – comes from that of the Alna River, from which are also derived the names of the old Alna Gård estate and the borough of Alna, in which Alnabru is located. The area is an industrial one, known for its rail freight terminal on the Hovedbane trunk line. Occupying the site of the former Alnabru railway station, this is Oslo's main terminal for the transport of produce. Some 300 metres further along the line is Alna station, which opened in 1971 to replace the old passenger facilities. European route E6 also runs through the area. Alnabru is home to one of Norway's oldest Sikh temples, opened in 1983.

Risløkka is a station on Grorud Line (line 5) on the Oslo Metro. The station lies between Økern and Vollebekk and is situated 6.5 km from Stortinget. The station is among the original stations on the line and was opened ob 16 October 1966. Peer Qvam was the station's architect.The line bridges the local road Risløkkalleen immediately east of the station. To the north of the station is a largely residential area, with several detached houses. To the south is a more industrial area, including the main office for the road construction company Oslo Vei, the successor to Oslo's public road constructor. Also near the subway station is a base for the Norwegian Public Roads Administration which deals with driver and vehicle licensing.

Rødtvet is a station on Grorud Line (Lines 4 and 5) of the Oslo Metro. The station is located in north-central Groruddalen, between the stations of Veitvet and Kalbakken, 9.5 kilometers (5.9 mi) from Stortinget. The station was opened 10 October 1966 as part of the original stretch of the Grorud Line. The station's architect was Karl Stenersen.
