Norg is a village in the northeastern Netherlands. It is located in the municipality of Noordenveld, Drenthe. It used to be an independent municipality until 1998. Norg is home to two windmills.

Noordenveld is a smock mill in Norg, Drenthe, the Netherlands. It was built in 1878 and is listed as a Rijksmonument, number 30785.

De Hoop (English The Hope) is a smock mill in Norg, Drenthe, the Netherlands. It was built in 1857 and is listed as a Rijksmonument, number 30781.

Huis ter Heide is a hamlet in the Netherlands and is part of the Noordenveld municipality in Drenthe. Huis ter Helde started as an inn from 1777 near the sluice. During the 18th century, the heath was cultivated and some farms appeared around the inn. In 1840, the population of Huis ter Heide was 40 people. The inn was rebuilt in 1886, and is currently in use as a farm.On 7 to 8 April 1945, during World War II, 15 Free French paratroopers were dropped in Huis ter Heide as part of Operation Amherst. They had found refugee in farm, but were betrayed. The farm was set on fire, and three paras burnt alive. Three others were killed during the fighting. There is a monument for the French paratroopers at Huis ter Heide.

Zeijen (also: Zeyen) is a village in the Dutch province of Drenthe. It is a part of the municipality of Tynaarlo. The village was first mentioned in 1370 as Lutbert van Zien, and means "slowly flowing" which is probably a reference to the Matsloot stream. Zeijen is an esdorp without a church which developed in the Middle Ages. Zeijen was home to 215 people in 1840.The hunebed (dolmen) D5 is located near the nature area de Zeijer Strubben. The stones are partially buried. The hunebed has four capstones. In 1857, the stones were put up for sale by the owner of the land. Lucas Oldenhuis Gratama, a local politician, bought site for ƒ40,- and transferred ownership to the province of Drenthe.

Ter Aard is a hamlet in the Netherlands and is part of the Assen municipality in Drenthe. Ter Aard is a statistical entity, and has its own postal code, however it is considered a part of Zeijen. It was first mentioned in 1335 as "in Arth" and means "near the farmland". In 1840, it was home to 25 people.

Norgervaart is a hamlet in the Netherlands and is part of the Noordenveld municipality in Drenthe. It is located along the eponymous canal. The canal between Norg and Huis ter Heide was completed in 1816.Norgervaart is not a statistical entity, and is listed under Huis ter Heide in the postal code. There are about 20 houses in Norgervaart.

Langelo is a village located in the Netherlands, part of the Noordenveld municipality in Drenthe. Langelo is an esdorp which developed in the middle ages on the higher grounds. It contains two triangular communal pastures. It first appeared in 1225 as Rodolphus de Langele and means "long forest". In 1840, it was home to 125 people.The village is noted for several historic farms, the oldest of which dates to 1792. Society Aardolie, a huge complex that serves as a gas storage facility, is also located in the village.

Donderen is a village in the Dutch province of Drenthe. It is a part of the municipality of Tynaarlo, and lies about 10 km north of Assen. The village was first mentioned in 1276 as "Sigheri de Dunren". The etymology is unclear. Donderen was home to 267 people in 1840.

Winde is a village in the Dutch province of Drenthe. It is a part of the municipality of Tynaarlo, and lies about 10 km south of Groningen. The village was first mentioned in 1338 as de Winde. The etymology is unclear. Winde was home to 53 people in 1840.
