Liberty Heights is a neighborhood in southeastern Lexington, Kentucky, United States. Its boundaries are Winchester Road to the north, New Circle Road to the east, and R. J. Corman (former CSX) railroad tracks to the west and south.

WBUL-FM (98.1 MHz) is one of four country music radio stations serving the Lexington, Kentucky radio market. The station broadcasts with an ERP of 100,000 watts, with a nearly 100-mile broadcasting radius. The station is heard as far south as London, as far east as Grayson, as far north as Cincinnati and as far west as Louisville. iHeartMedia, Inc. currently owns the station. WBUL-FM was the third station to begin broadcasting HD Radio in Lexington after WUKY and WKQQ. The station serves as the FM flagship of the UK Sports Network, airing Kentucky Wildcats football and men's basketball to make up for shortfalls in coverage by AM flagship and sister station WLAP.

Kenwick is a neighborhood in southeastern Lexington, Kentucky, United States. Its boundaries are Sherman Avenue to the south, East Main Street to the west, railroad tracks to the north, and Richmond Avenue to the north.

Eastside Technical Center is a public high school located in Lexington, Kentucky, United States, within the Fayette County Public School System. The school goes beyond this boundary, Eastside Technical Center serves students from all public high schools in Fayette, Jessamine, Scott, and Woodford Counties. Their mission is to prepare their students for entry level technical occupations, two-year community colleges, or two-year technical colleges and four-year universities.

Mentelle Park in Lexington, Kentucky, is a boulevard district of the Mentelle neighborhood. The district includes 48 residential structures facing Mentelle Park between Richmond Road and Cramer Avenue. Entrances to Mentelle Park at Richmond Road and Cramer Avenue feature limestone pillars. The neighborhood was developed in 1905, and homes in the district were constructed 1906–1934. Four styles of architecture are evident, including American Foursquare, Colonial Revival, Colonial Revival Cottage, and Bungalow. Foursquare and Colonial houses are two stories, and Bungalows and cottages are 1+1⁄2 stories. The district was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.Mentelle Park is named for the Mentelle family, and developers purchased 14 acres from heirs of Rose Mentelle in 1905 and formed the Mentelle Company. Lexington mayor Thomas A. Combs was president of the company. The land was purchased by Waldemarde Mentelle Jr., in 1854 and deeded to his sister, Rose Mentelle, upon his death in 1886. The company developed 56 home sites along an extended block with a segmented median, and the 48 contributing resources in the district are part of the original development.

African Cemetery No. 2, also known as The Cemetery of the Union Benevolent Society No. 2, is a historic burial site located in Lexington, Kentucky, United States.

James "Soup" Perkins (1879–1911) was born in Lexington, Kentucky, the son of former slaves. He and his entire family were involved in horse racing, training, and working in the stables. Perkins was the second youngest jockey ever to win the Kentucky Derby and the winningest jockey in America in 1895. At the peak of his career he earned $10,000 per year, the equivalent of $346,000 in 2022 US dollars and was written about in newspapers throughout the United States and Canada. He died at the age of thirty-three from a massive heart attack while working in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.

The Kentucky Association (also known as the Kentucky Racing Association) was formed on July 23, 1826, to promote the breeding and racing of Thoroughbred horses in the Bluegrass region of Kentucky. The "oldest turf organization in America", it was founded by a group of prominent locals, who included planter and politician Henry Clay, Jesse Bledsoe, Dr. Elisha Warfield, and Thomas F. Marshall. Between 1828 and 1834, the Association acquired 65 acres of land in an area of the city of Lexington, Kentucky that today is the east end of 5th Street at Race Street. On the property, the Association built a one-mile dirt racetrack with grandstand and stables to host Thoroughbred flat racing events.

Eastside is a neighborhood in southeastern Lexington, Kentucky, United States. Its boundaries are Walton Avenue to the north, CSX railroad tracks to the east, Richmond Avenue to the south, and Main Street to the west.

The Loudoun House, located in Lexington, Kentucky, is considered one of the largest and finest examples of Gothic Revival architecture in the state. Designed by New York architect Alexander Jackson Davis, the house was built in 1851 for Francis Key Hunt (1817–1879), who was named after his mother's cousin, Francis Scott Key.The home was built on 50 acres of land given to Hunt and his wife, Julia Warfield, by her parents upon their marriage. Following the death of his father during a cholera epidemic, Hunt inherited more than a million dollars and set to building the Loudoun House. Inspired by the W. C. H. Waddell mansion on Murray Hill in New York City, Hunt wrote to A. J. Davis, who designed a castellated Gothic Revival villa for Hunt after a brief correspondence. Hunt hired Lexington builder John McMurtry to construct the home. The project was expected to cost $10,000, but wound up costing three times that amount and taking four years to complete. He named the home "Loudoun" in honor of the song "The Bells of Loudon", his wife's favorite. Loudoun House is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It is one of the five surviving castellated Gothic Revival villas designed by Davis in the United States.The house currently houses the Lexington Art League.
