Hoogeveen is a railway station located in Hoogeveen, Netherlands. The station was opened on 1 May 1870 and is located on the Meppel–Groningen railway. Train services are operated by Nederlandse Spoorwegen.

Eursinge is a hamlet in the Dutch province of Drenthe. It is located in the municipality of De Wolden, less than 1 km northwest of the village of Pesse.

It was a fine dining restaurant that was awarded one Michelin star in 1966 and retained that rating until 1980.Arnold van Doesburg was the head chef and owner of the restaurant in the period 1960–2005.Het Oude Jachthuis, represented by Arnold van Doesburg, was one of the founders of Alliance Gastronomique Néerlandaise The family Van Doesburg still runs Het Oude Jachthuis, but added a bed and breakfast in 2005.The restaurant is located in a former farm/village pub, close to the A28. It is a listed building.In 1967, during a visit to the province Drenthe, Prince Claus was received in Het Oude Jachthuis by the provincial officials.

Anholt is a hamlet in northeast Netherlands. It is located in the municipality De Wolden, Drenthe, about 2 km west of Pesse.According to the 19th-century historian A.J. van der Aa, it had about 20 inhabitants in the middle of the 19th century, and was also called "Anhalt". The postal authorities have placed it under Pesse. Nowadays, it has about 15 houses and 50 holiday homes.

The restaurant is a member of Les Patrons Cuisiniers.The restaurant is housed in an old Saxonian farmhouse; the oldest parts of the farmhouse date from the end of the 1700s.Around 1986–1987, there was already a restaurant De Groene Lantaarn located in the building, run by a person named mr. J.J. Vierstra. In 2000, it showed up as restaurant In de Groene Lantaarn with mr. Jan Jager as the owner. In May 2009, Jager sold the restaurant to Jarno Eggen and Cindy Donker. They both had worked at two-starred restaurant De Lindenhof in Giethoorn, Eggens as chef, Donker as maitre.

De Zwaluw (English: The Swallow) is a smock mill in Hoogeveen, Drenthe, the Netherlands which is working commercially. It is the third mill to stand on this site as two previous mills both burnt down. It was built in 1834 and is listed as a Rijksmonument, No. 22254.

De Wolden (Dutch pronunciation: [də ˈʋɔldə(n)] ) is a municipality in the northeastern Netherlands in the province of Drenthe.

Dwingelderveld National Park is a national park of the Netherlands in the province of Drenthe, founded in 1991. The park covers about 37 km2 (14 sq mi) and is mainly managed by the State Forest Service (Staatsbosbeheer) and the most important Dutch private nature management organisation Natuurmonumenten. It is the largest wet heathland of Western-Europe. Dwingelderveld is also designated as a Natura 2000-area.
