Mayfair High School is a middle and high school in the Bellflower Unified School District in the city of Lakewood, California. The school first opened in 1959. The student population is approximately 3616 in grades 7 through 12. Mayfair serves students in the cities of Lakewood, Bellflower, Cerritos, as well as other surrounding cities, though the students not from Cerritos, Bellflower, or Lakewood usually need special waivers to attend.

Pacific Theatres was an American chain of movie theaters in the Los Angeles metropolitan area of California. Pacific Theatres was owned by The Decurion Corporation which also owned and operated ArcLight Cinemas. In 2008, it sold its store locations in San Diego to Reading Cinemas. In April 2021, Pacific Theatres announced they would not be reopening any of their theater locations after being closed since March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In June 2021, the company filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy. Following the closure, some former Pacific locations were acquired by AMC Theatres.

Lakewood Center opened in 1952 and was enclosed in 1978.The interior mall is anchored by Costco, Forever 21, JCPenney, Macy's, a Round One Entertainment center, and Target. Several businesses surround the mall property, including 24 Hour Fitness, Albertsons, Best Buy, Burlington, and The Home Depot. At 2,069,000 square feet (192,200 m2), the Lakewood Center is ranked among the largest retail shopping malls by gross leasable area in the United States.

Artesia Cemetery is a historic 14 acres (5.7 ha) cemetery in Cerritos, California. Opposite Gahr High School, it is one of the oldest cemeteries in Los Angeles County, with burials as far back as the 1860s. The cemetery is maintained by the Artesia Historical Society and was the only local cemetery for a while.
