Lakewood Center is a super-regional shopping mall in Lakewood, California. Lakewood Center opened in 1952 and was enclosed in 1978.The interior mall is anchored by Costco, Forever 21, JCPenney, Macy's, a Round One Entertainment center, and Target. Several businesses surround the mall property, including 24 Hour Fitness, Albertsons, Best Buy, Burlington, and The Home Depot. At 2,069,000 square feet (192,200 m2), the Lakewood Center is ranked among the largest retail shopping malls by gross leasable area in the United States.

Lakewood Village, or simply known as The Village, is a neighborhood in the northeast portion of the city of Long Beach, California. It is bordered on the west, north and east sides by the City of Lakewood. It is located south of Del Amo Boulevard, north of Carson Street, east of Lakewood Boulevard and west of Bellflower Boulevard.

Long Beach City College (LBCC) is a public community college in Long Beach, California. It was established in 1927 and is divided into two campuses, the Liberal Arts Campus in Lakewood Village and the Pacific Coast Campus in central Long Beach on Pacific Coast Highway. It is the only college in the Long Beach Community College District. LBCC serves San Pedro, Catalina Island and the cities of Long Beach, Lakewood and Signal Hill. During the 2015–2016 academic year, the college had an enrollment of 33,818 students.

Lakewood High School is a public secondary school located in the southern California city of Lakewood. Founded in 1957, it is part of the Long Beach Unified School District. Lakewood is the architectural twin of nearby Millikan High School, which opened in 1956.

Lakewood is a city in Los Angeles County, California, United States. The population was 80,048 at the 2010 census. It is bordered by Long Beach on the west and south, Bellflower on the north, Cerritos on the northeast, Cypress on the east, and Hawaiian Gardens on the southeast. Veterans Memorial Stadium (also known as Veterans Stadium, Vets Stadium or simply The Vet) is an 11,600-seat stadium located south of the Liberal Arts Campus of Long Beach City College in Long Beach, California. It is the home stadium to a number of local area high school football teams, as well as Long Beach City College's football team. It was also home to Long Beach State's football team until the program disbanded in 1991.The stadium is also popular as a movie set for a number of Hollywood motion pictures. It also hosted the 1985 and 1988 Motorcycle Speedway World Team Cup Finals.

Saint Joseph High School is a private Catholic all-girls high school located in Lakewood, California. It is located in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Los Angeles and sponsored by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet. Its brother school is St. John Bosco High School.

Allen Tire Company a tire and wheel retailer in Southern California, USA, established in 1973, with 18 locations throughout the area. Modern Tire Dealer publishes lists of the top 100 independent tire store chains; Allen first appeared at around 50th place during the first decade of the twenty-first century. In December of 2020, it was acquired by Monro Inc.

Mayfair High School is a middle and high school in the Bellflower Unified School District in the city of Lakewood, California. The school first opened in 1959. The student population is approximately 3616 in grades 7 through 12. Mayfair serves students in the cities of Lakewood, Bellflower, Cerritos, as well as other surrounding cities, though the students not from Cerritos, Bellflower, or Lakewood usually need special waivers to attend.
