Isaac Shelby Cemetery State Historic Site is a park in Junction City, Lincoln County, Kentucky. It marks the estate and burial ground of Kentucky's first governor, Isaac Shelby. The site became part of the park system in 1951.

Traveler's Rest in Lincoln County, Kentucky is the historic home place of Isaac Shelby, the first Governor of Kentucky. Shelby acquired the property as the first land settlement preemption deed in Kentucky as a reward for his surveying services. The original house was built in 1786 of limestone, three feet thick. It stood until a fire in 1905. On the same site, a brick two-story house was built by Shelby's descendants. Built in 1906 in the Georgian and Federal revival styles, it was accepted into the U.S. National Register of Historic Places in 1976 for its association with Shelby. Shelby's original brick slave's quarters still stand on the property. The Isaac Shelby Cemetery State Historic Site on the same property, where Shelby and his family are buried, is open to the public. The house at Traveler's Rest is privately owned and is not open to the public.

Junction City is a home rule-class city in Boyle County on its border with Lincoln County in the U.S. state of Kentucky. Junction City's population was 2,241 at the 2010 U.S. census. It is part of the Danville Micropolitan Statistical Area.

The First Christian Church in Junction City, Kentucky is a historic Christian church at the junction of Shelby and Cemetery Streets. It was built in 1932 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1998.It was deemed notable " as a locally significant Period Revival interpretation of the early Christian Byzantine churches, with low massing and restrained ornament. It is of brick masonry with formed concrete basement foundation built on an "L" plan with intersecting gable roofs joined with a two-story vestibule/tower entry. Design details include large, stained glass, arch-headed windows centered in both gable ends above banks of stained glass sash windows, all trimmed with stone arches and lintels; corner buttresses with stone caps; stone coping at gable parapets; tower with wide eave overhang, shallow hip roof, louvered vents in the upper story and arch above the double door entry."

Warrenwood Manor is a historic property located in Danville, Kentucky, USA. The manor was built in 1856 by Samuel and John Fourche Warren, sons of the Revolutionary War veteran and legislator William Warren. The Warren family moved several times before finally locating upon the present site. The property has been occupied by prominent owners including the Reed, Warren and Shelby families, in the order in which they are named. The architecture of the home includes diamond shaped window panes across the front, a wide hand carved door and window facings and massive enameled white mantels.

The Abraham Miller House, near Stanford, Kentucky, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.It is uses saddlebag architecture, a two-room one-story log building built between 1785 and 1815.

The Kentucky School for the Deaf (KSD), located in Danville, Kentucky, United States, is a school that provides education to deaf and hard-of-hearing children from elementary through high school levels. Founded in 1823, it was the first school for the deaf west of the Allegheny Mountains. Jacobs Hall, its oldest surviving building (built 1857), was designated a National Historic Landmark in recognition of this history.

Boyle County High School is a public high school located in Danville, Kentucky, United States. It serves nearly 900 students in grades 9–12. The school opened to students in the 1963–1964 school year. The school was created to merge the area's high school students into one school. Students came from four county schools that served grades 1–12 in the same building. Additionally, eighth graders from East End Elementary (grades 1–8) became part of the new high school.

Joe McDaniel Field at Andy Frye Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Danville, Kentucky. It is the home of the Centre Colonels football, field hockey, lacrosse, and track teams. It was constructed on the grounds of Farris Stadium, which was demolished in 2022. The playing surface is named for Joe McDaniel, who was Centre's head football coach from 1980 to 1997, and the stadium is named for Andy Frye, who has coached the team since 1998.

It was the home of the Centre Colonels football, field hockey, lacrosse, and track teams, in addition to various intramural teams.The stadium was built in 1923 and dedicated on November 3 of that year. The stadium's first game saw Centre defeat Kentucky, 10–0, in front of 15,000 fans.The stadium's namesake is Morris Farris Jr., a 1915 graduate of the college. Upon his death in 1934, he left $25,000 to the college for the improvement of the playing surface and stadium with the provision that the name "Farris Stadium" be adopted.The field was re-surfaced with synthetic turf in the summer of 2009, though this process was significantly delayed due to poor weather.
