The Kentucky School for the Deaf (KSD), located in Danville, Kentucky, United States, is a school that provides education to deaf and hard-of-hearing children from elementary through high school levels. Founded in 1823, it was the first school for the deaf west of the Allegheny Mountains. Jacobs Hall, its oldest surviving building (built 1857), was designated a National Historic Landmark in recognition of this history.

Boyle County High School is a public high school located in Danville, Kentucky, United States. It serves nearly 900 students in grades 9–12. The school opened to students in the 1963–1964 school year. The school was created to merge the area's high school students into one school. Students came from four county schools that served grades 1–12 in the same building. Additionally, eighth graders from East End Elementary (grades 1–8) became part of the new high school.

The Dr. Ephraim McDowell House, also known as McDowell House, was a home of medical doctor Ephraim McDowell. The home was declared a U.S. National Historic Landmark in 1966 for its role as the site of the world's first ovariotomy, performed without anesthesia by Dr. McDowell in 1809.

Constitution Square Historic Site is a 3-acre (0.012 km2) park and open-air museum in Danville, Kentucky. From 1937 to 2012, it was a part of the Kentucky state park system and operated by the Kentucky Department of Parks. When dedicated in 1942, it was known as John G. Weisiger Memorial State Park, honoring the brother of Emma Weisiger, who donated the land for the park. Later, it was known as Constitution Square State Shrine and then Constitution Square State Historic Site. On March 6, 2012, the Department of Parks ceded control of the site to the county government of Boyle County, Kentucky, and its name was then changed to Constitution Square Historic Site. The park celebrates the early political history of the U.S. state of Kentucky. It features replicas of three buildings that stood on the original city square, including the courthouse that housed ten constitutional conventions between 1785 and 1792; these conventions ultimately led to Kentucky's separation from Virginia. It also includes the original building that housed the first U.S. post office west of the Allegheny Mountains and several other early 19th century buildings of historical import. The site comprises the majority of the Constitution Square Historic District which was added to the National Register of Historic Places on April 2, 1976. Among the annual events held at the site are the Great American Brass Band Festival and the Kentucky State Barbecue Festival.

Joe McDaniel Field at Andy Frye Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Danville, Kentucky. It is the home of the Centre Colonels football, field hockey, lacrosse, and track teams. It was constructed on the grounds of Farris Stadium, which was demolished in 2022. The playing surface is named for Joe McDaniel, who was Centre's head football coach from 1980 to 1997, and the stadium is named for Andy Frye, who has coached the team since 1998.

It was the home of the Centre Colonels football, field hockey, lacrosse, and track teams, in addition to various intramural teams.The stadium was built in 1923 and dedicated on November 3 of that year. The stadium's first game saw Centre defeat Kentucky, 10–0, in front of 15,000 fans.The stadium's namesake is Morris Farris Jr., a 1915 graduate of the college. Upon his death in 1934, he left $25,000 to the college for the improvement of the playing surface and stadium with the provision that the name "Farris Stadium" be adopted.The field was re-surfaced with synthetic turf in the summer of 2009, though this process was significantly delayed due to poor weather.

East Main Street Historic District in Danville, Kentucky is a historic district that was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.The district includes part or all of an area originally called "Otter's Addition". The Reid House is one example of Queen Anne architecture in the district, which was supported by the completion of the Danville railway which then facilitated use of pre-cut architectural woodwork details in construction in the area.

Trinity Episcopal Church in Danville, Kentucky, was one of the first churches organized in the Episcopal Diocese of Kentucky. Trinity Church is the oldest in-use church structure in Danville and the oldest continuously used Episcopal church building in the Episcopal Diocese of Lexington as well as the second oldest in Kentucky. It is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.

Danville is a home rule-class city in Boyle County, Kentucky, United States. It is the seat of its county. The population was 17,236 at the 2020 Census. Danville is the principal city of the Danville Micropolitan Statistical Area, which includes all of the Boyle and Lincoln counties. In 2001, Danville received a Great American Main Street Award from the National Trust for Historic Preservation. In 2011, Money magazine placed Danville as the fourth-best place to retire in the United States. Centre College in Danville was selected to host U.S. vice-presidential debates in 2000 and 2012.

The Great American Brass Band Festival is a music festival held each June in Danville, Kentucky since 1990. The open-air festival features a wide variety of brass bands, a hot air balloon race, a picnic, and other activities. Each year up to 40,000 people travel to the small town (population 15,000) for the event.

The Boyle County Courthouse, at Main and 4th Sts. in Danville, Kentucky, was built in 1862. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.The listing was for the two-building complex of the courthouse and the associated jail, built in 1875, and Mid-town Park, in between.The courthouse was designed by architect James R. Carrigan to replace the former courthouse, destroyed in the Great Fire of 1860. Soon after the courthouse was completed, the bloodiest American Civil War battle in Kentucky occurred, the Battle of Perryville, on October 8, 1862. Like all other large buildings in town, the courthouse was commandeered to serve as a hospital. Court was held elsewhere in 1873, and some damage to the courthouse was still being repaired from 1873 to 1875.
