Port Adelaide railway station

The District Council of Portland Estate was a local government area of South Australia established in 1859 and abolished in 1884. It was seated at the Portland Estate subdivision, immediately south of the modern township of Port Adelaide.

The Port Adelaide Uniting Church is located in Port Adelaide, South Australia. It is an active church, with worship and prayer each week.

Port Dock railway station – named Port Adelaide until 1916 – was located in the commercial centre of Port Adelaide, South Australia at the corner of St Vincent Street and Lipson Street. It was the original terminus of the railway between Adelaide and Port Adelaide, which opened in 1856. After closure in 1981, the passenger station site was redeveloped as the Port Adelaide Police Station and Magistrates' Court. The former goods yard, adjacent to Lipson Street, is now occupied by the National Railway Museum. Several proposals have been advanced to build a new station, including a budgeted project by the government of South Australia in 2019, but as of 2021 none has proceeded to funding.

Australia's National Railway Museum is the largest railway museum in Australia. More than 100 major exhibits, mainly from the South Australian Railways (SAR) and Commonwealth Railways and their successor, Australian National, are on display at its 3.5 hectares (8.6 acres) site in Port Adelaide, South Australia. The museum opened at Lipson Street in 1988 after 18 years at the SAR's former main locomotive depot at Mile End.

The South Australian Aviation Museum, located in Port Adelaide, South Australia, is an aviation museum which displays aircraft, aircraft engines, and rockets of relevance to South Australia, and the history of aviation and the aerospace industry in Australia.

Port Adelaide is a port-side region of Adelaide, approximately 14 kilometres (8.7 mi) northwest of the Adelaide CBD. It is also the namesake of the City of Port Adelaide Enfield council, a suburb, a federal and state electoral division and is the main port for the city of Adelaide. Port Adelaide played an important role in the formative decades of Adelaide and South Australia, with the port being early Adelaide's main supply and information link to the rest of the world. Its Kaurna name, although not officially adopted as a dual name, is Yartapuulti.

The City of Port Adelaide was a local government area of South Australia centred at the port of Adelaide from 1855 to 1996.

The Port Admiral Hotel is located on the corner of St Vincent Street and Commercial Road in the centre of Port Adelaide, South Australia.

Rosewater is one of the western suburbs of Adelaide and is located 10 km north-west of Adelaide's central business district. Although mainly residential, there are many shops along Grand Junction Road and the closed Rosewater Loop railway line runs through the suburb. Rosewater is split in half by Grand Junction Road and bordered on the east by Addison Road, and on the south by Torrens Road. Originally, the area was mainly used as vegetable and dairy farmland but became more and more residential as the railway lines and Grand Junction Road were completed and as Port Adelaide grew and developed. Rosewater was also the site of the AdelaideRadio (VIA) maritime radio station system from 1912 to 1963.

The District Council of Rosewater was a local government area of South Australia immediately east of Port Adelaide from 1877 to 1899.

The South Australian Maritime Museum is a state government museum, part of the History Trust of South Australia. The Museum opened in 1986 in a collection of historic buildings in the heart of Port Adelaide, South Australia's first heritage precinct.

Port Adelaide Lighthouse is a lighthouse located on the North Parade of Port Adelaide. It was first lit in 1869 at the entrance to the Port River near Outer Harbor. In 1901, it was moved to the Neptune Islands and relocated to the current location in 1986. It is listed on the South Australian Heritage Register since 1980. It is lit on Saturdays.
