Kingston Historical House is a pioneer house found in Kingston Park, South Australia, a suburb of Adelaide, South Australia.

Kingston Park is a small beachside suburb, 17 kilometres (11 mi) south of the Adelaide city centre. Kingston Park is within the City of Holdfast Bay and flanked by the neighbouring suburbs of Marino to the south and Seacliff to the north and east. There is a Kaurna site of signficance, the freshwater spring known as Tulukudangga, which is part of the Tjilbruke Dreaming Track. There is also a coastal reserve, a caravan park and a kiosk. The plant life of the cliff face includes a number of endangered or vulnerable species.

Marino Rocks railway station is located on the Seaford line. Situated in the southern Adelaide suburb of Marino, it's 18.9 kilometres from Adelaide station and leads directly into Nimboya Road Reserve and park.

Bright is a former electorate for the South Australian House of Assembly. It was named in honour of Charles Bright, at various times South Australian Supreme Court Judge, Flinders University Chancellor, Health Commission chairman, and Electoral Boundaries Commission chairman. Prior to its 2018 abolition, the seat covered southern coastal suburbs of Adelaide including Brighton, North Brighton, South Brighton, Hallett Cove, Hove, Kingston Park, Marino, Seacliff, Seacliff Park and part of Somerton Park. The electorate was created at the 1983 redistribution, to replace the abolished seat of Brighton, as a marginal Liberal seat with a notional one percent two-party margin. However, it was won by the Labor's Derek Robertson at the 1985 election, before being won by Liberal Wayne Matthew at the 1989 election. He held the seat until his retirement at the 2006 election. Liberal shadow minister Angus Redford left the South Australian Legislative Council to contest the seat but was defeated by Labor's Chloë Fox from a 14.4 percent swing, the largest in the state, amidst a statewide landslide averaging a 7.7 percent swing. After the enactment of the "fairness clause," Bright's boundaries were frequently altered by the Electoral Commission of South Australia in order to produce "fairer" electoral boundaries. A shift of a few kilometres along O'Halloran Hill significantly altered the seat's political landscape. Moving the seat to the south shifted the margin in favour of Labor, while moving it to the north benefited the Liberals. As evidence of this, the redistribution ahead of the 2010 election pared Fox's margin from safe 9.2 percent–just on the edge of being safe–to 6.6 percent. At that election, the Liberals picked up a 6.2 percent swing, just short of picking up the seat, with Labor retaining the seat on a 0.4 percent margin, making Bright Labor's most marginal seat following the 2010 election. Liberal David Speirs won the seat from a 3.7 percent swing at the 2014 election. Bright was abolished at the 2018 state election following the 2016 electoral redistribution. On paper, it was replaced by Gibson. Speirs decided to contest Black, which had absorbed much of Bright's southern portion, at the 2018 state election.

Brighton was an electoral district of the House of Assembly in the Australian state of South Australia from 1970 to 1985. Brighton was replaced by the seat of Bright at the 1985 election.

Seacliff is a coastal suburb located in the capital city of South Australia; Adelaide. Overseen by the council, City of Holdfast Bay, this suburb is adjacent to South Brighton, Seacliff Park, Marino and Kingston Park.Seacliff Post Office opened on 1 July 1915 and closed in 1978.

Seacliff railway station is located on the Seaford line. Situated in the south-western Adelaide suburb of Seacliff, it is 17 kilometres from Adelaide station.

Marino Conservation Park is a protected area in the Australian state of South Australia located in the Adelaide suburb of Marino, overlooking both parts of the Adelaide metropolitan area and the coastline with Gulf St Vincent.Situated on the lands of the Aboriginal Kaurna people, the Marino Conservation Park and surrounding areas are part of the Tjilbruke dreamtime.Proclaimed in 1989 as a conservation park, it aims to protect flora such as the ground cover desert saw sedge (Gahnia lanigera) and twiggy daisy bush (Olearia ramulosa) and native grass species of genera such as Danthonia and Stipa, and groundcovers that dominate the central and eastern portions of the conservation park. The elegant wattle (Acacia victoriae) can also be seen in the conservation park.The steep west-facing hillside above the railway line contains a very significant remnant area of coastal heath vegetation, including rare plants such as lemon beauty heads Calocephalus citreus, shiny ground berry (Acrotiche patula) and native apricot (Pittosporum phylliraecoides).Past land-use practices and introduced exotic plants severely depleted the habitat available for native wildlife. Twenty-nine species of bird including owls, falcons, honeyeaters and rosellas frequent the conservation park. The eastern brown snake and insects also find sanctuary in the remnant vegetation and open space area.It is accessible via the Marino Rocks railway station, which is nearby. A 1.5 km self-guided botanical trail starts from the car park with two gentle hills to climb. The trail from the car park to the Heath viewing area is suitable for wheelchairs. There are no picnic, toilet or other facilities in the conservation park. Camping is prohibited.The conservation park has an active Friends of Parks group, mostly locals, who meet regularly on the first and third Thursdays and the last Sunday of each month.The conservation park is classified as an IUCN Category III protected area.After the creation of the Glenthorne National Park–Ityamaiitpinna Yarta in 2020, Marino Park Conservation Park became part of the Glenthorne Precinct, along with Hallett Cove Conservation Park, areas of the Field River valley and Happy Valley Reservoir.

Black is a single-member electoral district for the South Australian House of Assembly. It was created by the redistribution conducted in 2016, and was contested for the first time at the 2018 state election.Black is named after Dorrit Black (Dorothea Foster Black, 1891–1951), a South Australian modern artist, best known for linocuts, oil and watercolour paintings.Black lies south-west of the Adelaide city centre and includes the suburbs of Darlington, Hallett Cove, Kingston Park, Marino, O'Halloran Hill, Seacliff, Seacliff Park, Seacombe Heights, Seaview Downs, Sheidow Park and Trott Park. At its creation, Black was projected to be notionally held by the Liberal Party with a swing of 2.6% required to lose it.: Appendix 12  The 2018 creation of Black replaced the electorate of Mitchell that was disestablished at the 2018 state election. Black does not extend as far north or south as Mitchell did, but extends west to the coast through part of what used to be Bright.

South Brighton is a small, primarily residential suburb of Adelaide in South Australia. Brighton South Post Office opened on 7 November 1961. It was renamed South Brighton in 1968 and replaced by the Seacliff Park office in 1995.

South Brighton railway station is a former railway station on the Seaford line in Adelaide, South Australia. It was located about 15.8 kilometres from Adelaide station. The station closed in 1976, and was demolished shortly after, A newer station was built 200 metres to the south of that station in the same year. The old subway that went below the old station was in use until the early 1990s, but has now been filled in and replaced with a ground level passenger walkway. Adjacent to the old station is a disused delicatessan (now residential) building that served the station's passengers, and then the local population until the early 1990s.

Seacliff Park is a suburb of Adelaide partly in the City of Marion and the City of Holdfast Bay. The suburb is adjacent to South Brighton in the north, Seaview Downs to the east, Hallett Cove to the south, and Marino and Seacliff on its western side. The suburb is divided diagonally by Ocean Road, with the northern part of the suburb mainly residential, and the southern park partly occupied by a golf course and a quarry.Prior to the 1836 British colonisation of South Australia, the area was inhabited by the Kaurna people, who occupied the land from Cape Jervis in the south up the western side of the Fleurieu Peninsula, to Crystal Brook in the north, west to the Mount Lofty Ranges, across to Gulf Saint Vincent, including the Adelaide Plains and city of Adelaide.The Kaurna name for the area was Wita-wattingga, or Wita-wita, was the Kaurna name of an area on the north side of O'Halloran Hill, which was then covered in low woodland of Eucalyptus porosa and/or Eucalyptus odorata known as mallee peppermint gums. The forested area named thus included the north-western slopes at South Brighton and Seaview Downs, across to Seacliff Park, and probably also included the area across the hill nearly as far as the present Main South Road as well as westwards as far as the eastern slopes of Marino. The place name was recorded in 1837 as "Weta wertinga", although its meaning, "in the midst of peppermint gums" was only recorded later. The name may have been a generic name applied to other places with peppermint gums; a similar name, Witawatang, was also applied to an area near Rapid Bay.Seacliff Park Post Office opened on 15 January 1995, replacing the nearby South Brighton office.In the 2016 Australian census, there were 2,439 people living in Seacliff Park.
