Marino Conservation Park

Marino Rocks railway station is located on the Seaford line. Situated in the southern Adelaide suburb of Marino, it's 18.9 kilometres from Adelaide station and leads directly into Nimboya Road Reserve and park.

Bright is a former electorate for the South Australian House of Assembly. It was named in honour of Charles Bright, at various times South Australian Supreme Court Judge, Flinders University Chancellor, Health Commission chairman, and Electoral Boundaries Commission chairman. Prior to its 2018 abolition, the seat covered southern coastal suburbs of Adelaide including Brighton, North Brighton, South Brighton, Hallett Cove, Hove, Kingston Park, Marino, Seacliff, Seacliff Park and part of Somerton Park. The electorate was created at the 1983 redistribution, to replace the abolished seat of Brighton, as a marginal Liberal seat with a notional one percent two-party margin. However, it was won by the Labor's Derek Robertson at the 1985 election, before being won by Liberal Wayne Matthew at the 1989 election. He held the seat until his retirement at the 2006 election. Liberal shadow minister Angus Redford left the South Australian Legislative Council to contest the seat but was defeated by Labor's Chloë Fox from a 14.4 percent swing, the largest in the state, amidst a statewide landslide averaging a 7.7 percent swing. After the enactment of the "fairness clause," Bright's boundaries were frequently altered by the Electoral Commission of South Australia in order to produce "fairer" electoral boundaries. A shift of a few kilometres along O'Halloran Hill significantly altered the seat's political landscape. Moving the seat to the south shifted the margin in favour of Labor, while moving it to the north benefited the Liberals. As evidence of this, the redistribution ahead of the 2010 election pared Fox's margin from safe 9.2 percent–just on the edge of being safe–to 6.6 percent. At that election, the Liberals picked up a 6.2 percent swing, just short of picking up the seat, with Labor retaining the seat on a 0.4 percent margin, making Bright Labor's most marginal seat following the 2010 election. Liberal David Speirs won the seat from a 3.7 percent swing at the 2014 election. Bright was abolished at the 2018 state election following the 2016 electoral redistribution. On paper, it was replaced by Gibson. Speirs decided to contest Black, which had absorbed much of Bright's southern portion, at the 2018 state election.

Brighton was an electoral district of the House of Assembly in the Australian state of South Australia from 1970 to 1985. Brighton was replaced by the seat of Bright at the 1985 election.

Marino railway station is located on the Seaford line. Situated in the southern Adelaide suburb of Marino, it is 18.3 kilometres from Adelaide station. In addition to serving the hillside Marino community, the station provides the rest of Adelaide with public transport access to a host of local amenities such as the Marino Community Hall (20M) and the Historic Kingston House (500M). The sporting clubs Seacliff Hockey Club & Seacliff Tennis Club are also within walking distance from the station (800M). Brighton Caravan Park (750M) is a popular beachside Caravan and Campground within 10 minutes walk from the Station.

Hallett Cove railway station is located on the Seaford line. Situated in the southern Adelaide suburb of Hallett Cove , it is 21.4 kilometres from Adelaide station.

Kingston Historical House is a pioneer house found in Kingston Park, South Australia, a suburb of Adelaide, South Australia.

Kingston Park is a small beachside suburb, 17 kilometres (11 mi) south of the Adelaide city centre. Kingston Park is within the City of Holdfast Bay and flanked by the neighbouring suburbs of Marino to the south and Seacliff to the north and east. There is a Kaurna site of signficance, the freshwater spring known as Tulukudangga, which is part of the Tjilbruke Dreaming Track. There is also a coastal reserve, a caravan park and a kiosk. The plant life of the cliff face includes a number of endangered or vulnerable species.

Marino is a coastal suburb in the south of Adelaide, South Australia that's surrounded by a conservation park and rugged coastline. Marino's elevated position provides panoramic views of the ocean – Gulf St Vincent, the metropolitan beaches and Adelaide CBD. Marino has access to the North or South via Brighton Road, has two railway stations on the main Seaford Line and a host of walking and cycle trails to the neighbouring beaches and wine region. Marino is directly 13 km south west of Adelaide CBD, 3 km south west of South Australia's largest shopping complex Westfield Marion and 14 km north west of the McLaren Vale wine region. The suburb is home to Marino Rocks beach, which sits below the cliff tops and features a flat rocky beach with a boat ramp leading out to a reef on the southern end of Kingston Park/Seacliff. Fishing, kayaking, sailing and snorkelling are common recreation activities. Many people also use this section of the coastline to exercise while enjoying the views from the trails that run along the Marino cliff tops. At the northern end of the beach, the public artwork Contemplation can be viewed, by artist Marijana Tadic. Launched in 2006, the artwork takes the form of a rocked boat. The artwork looks out over the ocean and marks the change from the rocky shoreline at Marino Rocks to the sandy beaches of neighbouring Seacliff. Also as of 2006, at the access point to the beach, there is a mosaic artwork designed and constructed by South Australian artist Michael Tye. Michael worked with local artists and community members in the design and construction of the mosaic artwork along the nearby retaining wall. The main Seaford railway line into Adelaide CBD passes through the suburb, and there are two railway stations: Marino, and the newly improved Marino Rocks that is looked after by community volunteers as part of the Government's Rail Care scheme. In 2020 Marino Rocks railway station benefited from new seats, community artwork, City of Marion way-finding signage to local attractions and extensive Government-funded landscaping. A number of walking trails are available throughout Marino, including the clifftop Marino to Hallett Cove Boardwalk and the Adelaide Coast Park that has an uninterrupted path along all of Adelaide's metropolitan beaches and beyond. Bikeways include the Marino Rocks Greenway all the way into Adelaide CBD, the Coast to Vines rail trail that runs through to the beautiful McLaren Vale wine region and a signposted route to the nearby cafes and bars in Seacliff, Brighton and Glenelg. Marino is home to the Marino Rocks Lighthouse within the Marino Conservation Park, now part of the newly created Glenthorne National Park–Ityamaiitpinna Yarta. Guided walking trails lead up to the lighthouse within the conservation park. Community ties in Marino are strong with an active 5049 Coastal Community Residents Association, the Marino Community Garden, several parks that often host neighbourhood get-togethers and a host of activities on offer at the Marino Community Hall.

Black is a single-member electoral district for the South Australian House of Assembly. It was created by the redistribution conducted in 2016, and was contested for the first time at the 2018 state election.Black is named after Dorrit Black (Dorothea Foster Black, 1891–1951), a South Australian modern artist, best known for linocuts, oil and watercolour paintings.Black lies south-west of the Adelaide city centre and includes the suburbs of Darlington, Hallett Cove, Kingston Park, Marino, O'Halloran Hill, Seacliff, Seacliff Park, Seacombe Heights, Seaview Downs, Sheidow Park and Trott Park. At its creation, Black was projected to be notionally held by the Liberal Party with a swing of 2.6% required to lose it.: Appendix 12  The 2018 creation of Black replaced the electorate of Mitchell that was disestablished at the 2018 state election. Black does not extend as far north or south as Mitchell did, but extends west to the coast through part of what used to be Bright.

Seacliff is a coastal suburb located in the capital city of South Australia; Adelaide. Overseen by the council, City of Holdfast Bay, this suburb is adjacent to South Brighton, Seacliff Park, Marino and Kingston Park.Seacliff Post Office opened on 1 July 1915 and closed in 1978.

Sheidow Park is a suburb in the south of Adelaide, South Australia. The suburb is approximately 22 kilometres (14 mi) from the city-centre and is situated on coastal hills above the Adelaide Plains. The size of Sheidow Park is approximately 3.5 square kilometres. It has 9 parks covering nearly 6.1% of total area. The predominant age group in Sheidow Park is 0–9 years. Households in Sheidow Park are primarily couples with children. In general, people in Sheidow Park work in a professional occupation.

Hallett Cove Conservation Park is a protected area in the Australian state of South Australia located in the suburb of Hallett Cove on the coast of Gulf St Vincent about 22 kilometres (14 miles) south of the centre of the state capital of Adelaide. Hallett Cove is one of the best known geological sites in Australia and is known for its international significance. The area has been declared a Geological Monument by the Geological Society of Australia and placed on the South Australian Heritage Register for its educational and scientific significance. It is also a site of great archaeological significance, with evidence of some of the earliest Aboriginal settlement documented in Australia, dated at 40,000 years ago. Some of the features in the park are Waterfall Creek, Black Cliff and the Amphitheatre. A freshwater spring near Waterfall Creek is one of the features of the Tjilbruke Dreaming Track. As of 2021 the park is included in the Glenthorne Precinct of protected areas.
