Matsudo Station

The 1538 battle of Kōnodai took place during the Sengoku period of Japanese history, fought by the leader of the Hōjō, Hōjō Ujitsuna, against the combined forces of Satomi Yoshitaka and Ashikaga Yoshiaki (Oyumi). After a long-fought battle between the Hōjō and the allied forces, Ujitsuna emerged as the victor. During the battle Yoshiaki died.

Matsudo (松戸市, Matsudo-shi) is a city in Chiba Prefecture, Japan. As of 30 November 2020, the city had an estimated population of 498,575 in 242,981 households and a population density of 8100 persons per km². The total area of the city is 61.38 square kilometres (23.70 sq mi).

Seitoku University (聖徳大学, Seitoku Daigaku) is a Japanese women's university in Matsudo, Chiba. It has faculties of Childhood Education, Literature and Social Sciences, Music, and Nutrition, as well as an affiliated Junior College. It was founded in 1990 and is accredited by the Japanese Ministry of Education.It was named after the 7th-century regent Shōtoku. Shō (Go'on reading) can also be read sei (Kan’on reading); the latter was chosen for this school.

Seitoku University Junior College (聖徳大学短期大学部, Seitoku Daigaku Tanki Daigakubu) is a private junior college in Matsudo, Chiba, Japan. It was established in 1933 as a specialized school, and became a junior college in 1965. In 1972, a distance education course was set up. It has been attached to Seitoku University since 1990. The college was named in honour of Shōtoku, a medieval regent. His name's first syllable, shō has an alternative reading sei (the Kan’on reading), which was used for naming this school.

Matsudo Velodrome (松戸競輪場, Matsudo Keirinjyō) is a velodrome located in Matsudo, Chiba that conducts pari-mutuel Keirin racing - one of Japan's four authorized "Public Sports" (公営競技, kōei kyōgi) where gambling is permitted. Its Keirin identification number for betting purposes is 31# (31 sharp). Matsudo's oval is 333 meters in circumference. A typical keirin race of 2,015 meters consists of six laps around the course.

In the second Battle of Kōnodai, fought in 1564, Hōjō Ujiyasu led his men to victory against Satomi Yoshihiro. Both Ujiyasu and Yoshihiro were the sons of the commanders at the first battle of Kōnodai, in which Hōjō Ujitsuna defeated the combined forces of Satomi Yoshitaka and Ashikaga Yoshiaki (Oyumi).
