Schoolhill Railway Station was a railway station in the city of Aberdeen, Scotland. The station was closed on 5 April 1937 with the withdrawal of the suburban rail service. The few remains of the station lie adjacent to His Majesty's Theatre's car park. The station formed part of the Denburn Valley Line jointly administered by the Great North of Scotland Railway and Caledonian Railway.

His Majesty's Theatre in Aberdeen is the largest theatre in north-east Scotland, seating more than 1,400. The theatre is sited on Rosemount Viaduct, opposite the city's Union Terrace Gardens. It was designed by Frank Matcham and opened in 1906.

The William Wallace Statue was erected 1888 in Aberdeen, Scotland, and depicts Sir William Wallace. Sculpted by William Grant Stevenson, the statue is positioned opposite His Majesty's Theatre and across from Union Terrace Gardens. "It was paid for with funds left for the purpose by John Steill of 38 Grange Road in Edinburgh, the son of James Steill sometime of Easter Baldowrie in Angus." It is a category B listed building.The statue bears this inscription: I tell you a truth, liberty is the best of all things, my son, never live under any slavish bond.

Woolmanhill Hospital was a health facility in the city centre of Aberdeen, Scotland. It was the original Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, a complex which opened in 1749 and was replaced by new facility at Foresterhill in 1936. After services transferred to Aberdeen Community Health and Care Village, the Foresterhill site and Woodend Hospital, the Woolmanhill Hospital closed in April 2017. The complex is centred on a neo-classical main block with later nineteenth century buildings to the rear. Unusually, it has remained largely complete, with later building having taken place at Foresterhill. It was managed by NHS Grampian.

County Buildings is a municipal structure in Union Terrace, Aberdeen, Scotland. The structure, which was the headquarters of Aberdeenshire County Council and was later converted for commercial use as Denburn House, comprises three separate structures all of which are Category B listed buildings.

The Cathedral Church of St Mary of the Assumption, usually known as St Mary's Cathedral, is a cathedral of the Roman Catholic Church in the city of Aberdeen, Scotland. It is the home of the see of the Bishop of Aberdeen, who is the ordinary of the Diocese of Aberdeen in the Province of St Andrews & Edinburgh. It stands at 20 Huntly Street in Aberdeen.

The Ogilvie Institute is a college in the Catholic Diocese of Aberdeen, in Scotland, that specialises in part-time and distance-learning courses of religious education and formation, catechesis and theology for adults. The institute has close working relationships with both the Open University and Maryvale Institute.

The North East of Scotland Music School is an independent charitable foundation established in Aberdeen, Scotland by the late Dorothy Hately MBE in 1975 with the encouragement of Lady Aberdeen. Its aim is to provide advanced tuition not normally available within the statutory sector by bringing internationally recognised teachers to Aberdeen on a regular basis. Entry to the school is by audition on the basis of musical ability regardless of age but limited to persons living in Scotland.The school is financed through a mixture of corporate sponsorship, donations from trusts and individuals, and volunteer fund-raising. Students pay their own (subsidised) fees but competitive scholarships are awarded annually on a balance of musical potential and financial need. Patrons include Murray McLachlan, Eileen Croxford Parkhouse, Evelyn Glennie, Fiona Kennedy, Paul Mealor, Lisa Milne and Neil Mackie.

The Music Hall is a concert hall in Aberdeen, Scotland, formerly the city's Assembly Rooms, located on Union Street in the city centre.

The Triple Kirks in Aberdeen, Scotland were built at the time of the Disruption of 1843 when the Free Church of Scotland (the Free Kirk) split from the Church of Scotland (the Kirk). The three churches were all part of a single building with a tall spire but they housed separate congregations. The East Free Kirk was completed 1843 followed by the West Free Kirk and South Free Kirk early the following year. From about 1966 the building progressively fell into disuse and became mostly ruinous but with the spire remaining.

The Lang Stane in Aberdeen, Scotland is a granite Menhir type standing stone that sits recessed into an alcove at the south east corner of 10 Langstane Place, just off Aberdeen's main thoroughfare Union Street. There is suggestion that the nearby Crabstane and the Lang Stane were both used as boundary stones of Craibstone Croft, site of the Battle of Craibstone in 1571. Whilst close to its location as a boundary marker its current site is unlikely to be the exact location of the Craibstone boundary as it would have been moved during the construction of Union Street and the surrounding infrastructure. Prior to this the stone was probably part of a stone circle, the conclusion taken as the base has been carved into a keel shape- common of recumbent stone circles found in Aberdeenshire, which usually date to approximately 3000BC. The stone has dimensions of 1.8m height, 0.68m breadth and approximately 0.3m thickness.On Paterson's Map of the Burgh of Aberdeen printed in 1746 prior to the construction of Langstane Place, the stone can be seen in approximately its current location, though it does not appear as part of a stone circle. Throughout the city the name reoccurs with the single word differentiation 'Langstane' - indeed the area of the city where the Lang Stane sits is within the aptly named former Langstane political ward. The title occurs often in local business and areas with examples such as the former Langstane Kirk (now Soul), Langstane Press and Langstane Housing Association. Curiously in the immediate area of Aberdeen there are other standing stones with same name, such as the Lang Stane of Hilton area of the city and the Lang Stane of Auquhollie just south Aberdeen.
