Cortil-Wodon

The Rhâââ Lovely Festival was a Belgian indie post-rock festival that took place each April at Cortil-Wodon, a village near Namur, in rural Wallonia. A non-profit organisation, composed of volunteers, organised and promoted the event. The 9th annual Rhâââ Lovely Festival took place on 29 March 2008. A subsequent announcement on the official website stated that there would be no further edition of the festival. The primary aim of the festival was to gather a quality lineup and offer cheap admission, so that the experience was as accessible as possible. Several notable bands, such as Piano Magic, 31knots, Deerhoof, Hood, Matt Elliott, The Durutti Column, The Shipping News, Migala, Tarentel, Hangedup, Explosions in the Sky, Tristeza, played in front of the festival's eight-hundred strong crowds, hosted by a local primary school. As well as the music, there were other attractions. Short movies are shown, local photography is exhibited, and there are French poetry readings. In addition, the organisers produce a CD, which features one song from each band in concert. The promoters intended that the festival stay entirely independent, economically and ideologically: they rejected corporate sponsoring, and refused to collaborate with Live Nation (ex-Clear Channel Entertainment). They also only served fairtrade food and drink during the festival's duration.

Éghezée (French: [e.ɡə.ze]; Walloon: Inguezêye) is a municipality of Wallonia located in the province of Namur, Belgium. On 1 January 2010 the municipality had 15,169 inhabitants. The total area is 102.81 km2, giving a population density of 146.93 inhabitants per km2. The municipality consists of the following districts: Aische-en-Refail, Bolinne, Boneffe, Branchon, Dhuy, Éghezée, Hanret, Leuze, Liernu, Longchamps, Mehaigne, Noville-sur-Mehaigne, Saint-Germain, Taviers, Upigny, and Waret-la-Chaussée.

Marchovelette (Walloon: Måtchovlete) is a village of Wallonia and a district of the municipality of Fernelmont, located in the province of Namur, Belgium. It was formerly a municipality itself until the fusion of Belgian municipalities in 1977.

Gelbressée (French pronunciation: [ʒɛlbʁɛse]; Walloon: Djerbussêye) is a sub-municipality of the city of Namur located in the province of Namur, Wallonia, Belgium. It was a separate municipality until 1977. On 1 January 1977, it was merged into Namur.

Fernelmont (French pronunciation: [fɛʁnɛlmɔ̃]; Walloon: Ferneamont) is a municipality of Wallonia located in the province of Namur, Belgium. On 1 October 2018, Fernelmont had a total population of 8,007. The total area is 65.61 km2 which gives a population density of 122 inhabitants per km2. The municipality consists of the following districts: Bierwart, Cortil-Wodon, Forville, Franc-Waret, Hemptinne, Hingeon, Marchovelette, Noville-les-Bois, Pontillas, and Tillier.

Fernelmont Castle (French: Château de Fernelmont) is a fortified farmhouse or château-ferme in Noville-les-Bois in the municipality of Fernelmont, Wallonia, Belgium.

Boneffe Abbey was, from the early 13th century until the end of the 18th century, a Cistercian monastery on the banks of the Mehaigne in what is now the municipality of Éghezée, Wallonia in Belgium. The abbot's residence, first built in the early 16th century and repaired in the 17th and 18th centuries, is now a listed building that is currently in use as a farmhouse.

Brogne Abbey, also known as Saint-Gerard Abbey, was a Benedictine abbey founded in the early 10th century by Gerard of Brogne in the village of Brogne (now the Saint-Gérard subdivision of Mettet, Wallonia).Gerard founded the abbey on his own land, with the blessing of Stephen of Liège (died 920), and obtained a relic of St Eugenius from the abbot of Saint-Denis. A charter of 923 granted land in Hesbaye to the monastery. In 992 Otto III visited the abbey together with Notker of Liège and confirmed its independence and privileges. In 1183 Pope Lucius III confirmed the abbey in all its possessions.In 1566 the revenues of the abbacy were assigned to the recently founded Diocese of Namur by a bull of Pope Pius IV. Thereafter the monastery was governed by a prior on behalf of the bishop of Namur. In 1656 the monastery was incorporated into the Bursfelde Congregation. Just which revenues were due to the bishop remained subject to dispute, petitions and sometimes litigation until the abbey was suppressed in 1796.The buildings of the former monastery were acquired by the municipality of Mettet in 1974, and were listed as built heritage in 1995. Since 2013 they have housed a microbrewery, and since 2015 a centre for viticulture.

The Château de Franc-Waret is a château situated in Franc-Waret in the municipality of Fernelmont in the province of Namur, Wallonia, Belgium. A moat girdles the castle. The castle is adorned by French gardens and an English style garden sprawls over 120 hectares of the palace.The interiors are equally august as its exteriors. The indoor decor is classic 17th and 18th century, and is decorated with furniture, silverware, porcelain and tapestries. There are old books and paintings, a few of them Brueghel's.A ferme-château, or large fortified farmhouse, existed on the site in the 13th century. In the 16th century the building and the grounds were acquired and refurbished by the de Groesbeeck family, and later used as their summer residence. The 16th century block survives, still with a drawbridge and angle-towers. Around the middle of the 18th century Alexandre François de Groesbeeck ordered the building of a large residential wing in a rural Louis XV style. The whole is surrounded by moats. At the end of the 18th century the property passed into the possession of the Comtes de Croix, and later of the Comtes d'Andigné who still live there. The château has beautiful gardens in the formal French style as well as a park in the English style and an orangery. The interior of the château can be visited by appointment and contains lavishly decorated rooms with fine antique furniture, paintings and tapestries.

Ramillies (French pronunciation: ​[ʁamili]; Walloon: Ramiêye) is a municipality of Wallonia located in the Belgian province of Walloon Brabant. On 1 January 2012, Ramillies had a total population of 6,211. The total area is 48.68 km² which gives a population density of 128 inhabitants per km². The municipality consists of the following districts: Autre-Église, Bomal, Geest-Gérompont-Petit-Rosière, Grand-Rosière-Hottomont, Huppaye, Mont-Saint-André, and Ramillies-Offus. The former Roman road from Bavay to Cologne passes through Ramillies. Just to the north of the road, also within the municipality, the Hottomont tumulus is one of the most significant tumuli in Belgium.

It is both an administrative and a judicial arrondissement. The territory of the Judicial Arrondissement of Namur coincides with that of the Administrative Arrondissement of Namur.
