Huseby Leir

Hans Majestet Kongens Garde (HMKG) (lit., His Majesty The King's Guard; the Royal Guards) is a battalion of the Norwegian Army. The battalion has two main roles; it serves as the Norwegian King's bodyguards, guarding the royal residences (the Royal Palace in Oslo, Bygdøy Kongsgård and Skaugum) and Akershus Fortress in Oslo, and is also the main infantry unit responsible for the defence of Oslo. The HMKG is located in Huseby leir in Oslo. Huseby leir is located on the old Oslo farm Nordre Huseby gård (Northern Huseby farm), which was acquired by the Norwegian government in the late 19th century.

Hovseter is a neighbourhood of Oslo, Norway, that comes under Vestre Aker kommune and lies between Røa and Holmen. Hovseter was originally a place under Hoff farm. The site was mainly developed in the 1970s as a project associated experimental political sociology and was listed under the then Social Democratic government. The buildings consist largely of blocks of flats in the low / medium altitude by Norwegian standards. Some of the buildings are older, however, and originates from the 1950s. Various areas outside Hovseter also stems from the reconstruction period after the Second World War in Norway and holds a joint architecture for homes on the west side of Oslo, in the form of house or villa-standard. Roads Old Hovsetervei, Henry's way, way Jeppes, Pernille way Arnebråtveien, Anchor Road, Røaknekken and Røahagan is built in the same period and hence holds great architectural similarities of their distinctive post-war expressed through architecture and materials.

Hovseter is a station on the Røa Line of the Oslo Metro between Holmen and Røa. It is located in the Vestre Aker borough. The station was opened on 24 January 1935 with the completion of the line to Røa. It is 135.6 metres above sea level, and 6.7 km from Stortinget.Hovseter is one of the most densely populated areas along Røabanen, and the neighborhood has several fairly large apartment buildings, some of which are public housing. South of the station is Huseby leir, the base for Hans Majestet Kongens Garde.

Oslo Waldorf School (Norwegian: Rudolf Steinerskolen i Oslo) is a Waldorf school located in the Vestre Holmen area in the Vestre Aker district of West End Oslo, Norway. It is an integrated primary, middle and high school with around 550 pupils. Founded in 1926, it is one of the oldest Waldorf schools worldwide. The school is an independent non-profit foundation governed by a board consisting of representatives of the teachers and parents, and it is a member of the Norwegian Association of Waldorf Schools.

Montebello is a neighborhood in the borough of Ullern in Oslo, Norway. The area is dominated by single dwellings. The Norwegian Radium Hospital is located at Montebello. The area is served by Montebello Station on the Kolsås Line of the Oslo T-bane.

Holmen is a station on the Røa Line (line 2) of the Oslo T-bane system. It is located between Makrellbekken and Hovseter and serves the neighbourhood of Holmen. The station is 6.1 km from Stortinget. Holmen was opened on 24 January 1935 when the line was completed to Røa. The station is at an altitude of 119.4 metres above sea level. The station is located in a mainly residential area. The Oslo subway system has fought a battle against graffiti, and one of the incidents turned violent on 2 February 2007, when a subway driver was beaten by a vandal.

Huseby skole is a former metro station on the Røa Line of the Oslo Metro. The station was located between Hovseter and Røa, and was opened when the Røa Line was created, as an extension from Smestad to Røa on 24 January 1935. It was closed as a part of the Røa Line overhaul in 1995.

The Embassy of the United States in Oslo is the diplomatic representation of the federal government of the United States to the Kingdom of Norway. A new embassy was put into service in May 2017. The current Embassy is located in Morgedalsvegen 36, near the Makrellbekken Metro Station, in one of the city's western suburbs. Visitors to the embassy are encouraged to use public transport.

Røa (Norwegian pronunciation: [ˈrø̀ːɑ]) is a neighbourhood and a former administrative borough of the city of Oslo, Norway. In 2004 the borough of Røa was merged with neighbouring Vinderen to become Vestre Aker borough. Røa is a suburb of Oslo, located approximately 7 kilometers away from downtown Oslo. Most of Røa consists of single-family detached home and duplex houses. Its centre has been heavily urbanized in recent years, with shopping centres, offices and apartment blocks. Røa is served by the Røa Line, which takes 11 minutes to Majorstuen and 13 minutes to Nationaltheatret in downtown Oslo.

Ullernåsen is an Oslo Metro station located at Ullern in Oslo, Norway. It is on Kolsås Line between Åsjordet and Montebello. It was opened on 15 June 1942. Since June 2006 it was temporarily closed while Kolsåsbanen was upgraded, and reopened on 18 August 2008.

Oslo University Hospital, Radiumhospitalet (Norwegian: Oslo universitetssykehus, Radiumhospitalet) is one of the four campuses of Oslo University Hospital in Oslo, Norway, and is dedicated to cancer treatment. This part of the hospital is the most specialized hospital in Norway for cancer therapy and research on cancer. The Norwegian Radium Hospital was an independent hospital from May 21, 1932, to 2005, when it merged with Rikshospitalet. The hospital was founded with Severin Andreas Heyerdahl as chief physician and director, and Hans L. C. Huitfeldt as chairman of the board. From 1983 to the merge with Rikshospitalet in 2005 Jan Vincents Johannessen was CEO.The Radium Hospital merged in 2005 with Rikshospitalet to create Rikshospitalet-Radiumhospitalet HF. On January 1, 2009, Rikshospitalet merged with Ullevål University Hospital and Aker University Hospital to create Oslo University Hospital.

Montebello is a station on the Kolsås Line (Line 3) of the Oslo Metro. The station is located between Smestad and Ullernåsen. Montebello is the first station on line 3 not shared with another line. The station is on the north side of the Ring 3 highway which runs in an arch north of Oslo. It is the closest station to the Radium Hospital which is 400 m away. Montebello is located 6.0 km from Stortinget and was first opened on 15 June 1942.From 1 July 2006, most of the line to Kolsås, from Montebello station and outwards, was closed for upgrades. At first trains then turned at Montebello, but from 31 July Montebello was also closed with the opening of a temporary station, Husebybakken which substituted for Montebello. This temporary station was located a few hundred metres to the east of the regular station and served as the terminus for the line. On 18 August 2008, the rebuilt Montebello station was opened. The new station has a longer platform, capable of serving trains with up to six cars, an increase from three. The previous level crossing has been removed, and a third rail power supply is used throughout. Up to the upgrade of Kolsåsbanen that started in 2006, trains switched from third rail to overhead wire systems at Montebello.
