Croxley Green

Croxley is a London Underground station located on Watford Road (A412) in Croxley Green, Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire, on the Watford branch of the Metropolitan line. It is the only intermediate station on the branch between Moor Park, on the main line from Baker Street to Amersham, and the terminus at Watford. It is in Travelcard Zone 7.

John Dickinson Stationery Limited was a leading English stationery company founded in southwest Hertfordshire. In the 19th century, the company pioneered a number of innovations in papermaking. It became part of Dickinson Robinson Group in 1966; after changes of ownership, the John Dickinson brand was retired in 2008.

The Ebury Way is a 3.5-mile (5.6 km) rail trail in Hertfordshire between Watford and Rickmansworth. The route crosses the Grand Union Canal and three rivers; the River Colne, the River Chess and the River Gade. Passing lakes and fields in Rickmansworth, the path is shared by walkers and cyclists. Its origin as the Watford and Rickmansworth Railway means that it is wide and largely flat. It forms part of National Cycle Route 61 which runs between Windsor to the southwest and Ware to the northeast. The Watford section of the Ebury Way up to its crossing of the Colne also forms part of NCR 6 so this section is jointly routed 6/61.

The Watford and Rickmansworth Railway (W&RR) ran services between Watford and Rickmansworth in Hertfordshire, England. The company was incorporated in 1860; the line opened in 1862. The Rickmansworth branch was closed in 1952, and the remaining line was gradually run down and eventually closed in 1996.

Croxley Common Moor is a 39.5-hectare (98-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and Local Nature Reserve in Croxley Green, Hertfordshire. It is owned by Three Rivers District Council and managed by the council together with the Countryside Management Service and the Friends of Croxley Common Moor. Most of it is a registered common.The site is mainly grass heathland with some ancient woodland and hazel coppice. It has been designated an SSSI for its botanical interest, and over 250 species of plants have been recorded. Principal species include sheep sorrel, common bent and sheep's fescue. There is also abundant sweet vernal grass and harebell. There are many ant hills made by yellow meadow ants.The moor can be accessed from the Ebury Way, a foot/cycle route which borders it to the south, and by a footbridge across the River Gade, which borders it to the north, from Mill Lane, close to Croxley tube station.

Rickmansworth School in Croxley Green, Hertfordshire, is a coeducational secondary school and a sixth form with academy status for 1,400 pupils. Rickmansworth is a secondary school for boys and girls aged 11 to 18 of all academic abilities, although 25% of the 11+ intake are selected using tests in mathematics and verbal reasoning, with a further 10% selected for aptitude in music. Most children are admitted at 11 and there is an additional intake at 16 into the Sixth Form. Rickmansworth is a self-governing academy school and the governing body are responsible for the employment of staff, the admission of pupils, and all aspects of the organisation and running of the School. Previously the school was a 'grant maintained school' in the 1990s, with much the same powers.

The Withey Beds is a 7.5 hectare Local Nature Reserve (LNR) in Rickmansworth in Hertfordshire. It was declared an LNR in 2004 by Three Rivers District Council, and the council owns and manages the site.A withey (willow) bed is an area where willow is grown for coppicing. The site borders the River Colne, and it has a variety of habitats including dry grassland, wet woodland, marsh and ditches. A World War II pillbox has been turned into a bat roost. Rare invertebrates found on the site are the oak jewel beetle, soldier fly, and Roesel's bush cricket.There is access from Moor Lane near the junction with Sandy Lodge Road.

Batchworth Heath is 4 hectares (10 acres) of designated common land in Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire, around the junction of Batchworth Heath Hill, Batchworth Lane and White Hill, owned and managed by Three Rivers District Council. The habitat is heathland with an ancient pond and rich wildlife. Since July 2015 the site has been listed by Natural England as a Local Nature Reserve, but according to Three Rivers Council this is an error and they have asked Natural England to remove it from the list.

Croxley Green Windmill is a Grade II listed tower mill at Croxley Green, Hertfordshire, England which has been converted to residential accommodation.

Heart Hertfordshire (previously known as Hertfordshire's Mercury 96.6) is a local radio station owned by Communicorp UK and operated by Global as part of the Heart network. It broadcasts across Hertfordshire from studios in Watford. In 2005, it was sold by GCap Media to the Adventure Radio Company although it still carries programming from GCap's successors Global as well as having its website maintained by Global. The station was rebranded on Monday 26 July 2010, but as it is not owned outright by Global, it operates as a franchise. In 2019, the station merged with BOB fm in north Hertfordshire and began broadcasting to the entire county.

Croxley Danes School is a co-educational secondary school and sixth form currently located in Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire.

The More (also known as the Manor of the More) was a 16th-century palace in the parish of Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire, England, where Catherine of Aragon lived after the annulment of her marriage to Henry VIII. It had been owned by Cardinal Wolsey. It lay at the northeast corner of the later More Park estate on the edge of the Colne flood plain. The Treaty of the More was celebrated here by Henry VIII and the French ambassadors. In 1527, the French ambassador, Jean du Bellay, thought the house more splendid than Hampton Court. Nothing now remains above ground. The site is a scheduled ancient monument. In the grounds of the school exist parts of at least two large stone pillars approximately one metre in length which are said to be part of the original manor.
