Abbey Grange Church of England Academy is a coeducational secondary school and sixth form with academy status, located in West Park, Leeds, West Yorkshire, England. It is the only Church of England secondary school in Leeds. The school has 1,619 students as of November 2021 between the ages of 11 and 18, and 80 members of staff. The school was awarded Humanities College status in 2006. In August 2011 the school was changed into an Academy and is now known as 'Abbey Grange Church of England Academy'. The school was judged Good by Ofsted in 2017.Abbey Grange alumni include footballer Andre Wisdom, actor and comedian Nick Mohammed, and academic and Shakespearean Emma Smith.

Moor Grange Estate is a housing estate in the West Park area of Leeds, West Yorkshire, England, which was built in the 1950s on reclaimed farmland. Work on the Moor Grange Estate began in 1955. It was originally owned by the local council, and was leased by the council to tenants as a council estate. Most of the housing on the estate is now privately owned. Moor Grange does not suffer the crime problems of other council estates (including the nearby Hawksworth Estate). House prices on the estate are high, and Moor Grange is considered a 'model council estate'. This may be due to the affluence of the area in which it is situated. Moor Grange backs onto the smaller Spen Estate which is another council estate in West Park. The Estate falls within the Kirkstall ward of the Leeds Metropolitan Council. Horsforth Woodside was a proposed railway station that was to be built on the site of Woodside Quarry near Horsforth in West Yorkshire, England. It would have been located on the Harrogate Line near the current Horsforth station, which would also stay open. Horsforth Woodside was also the name of a very early station on the Leeds-Northallerton railway, which was closed completely in 1864. The fact that both the old closed station and the proposed new station have the same name has caused confusion when railway historical matters in this area are being discussed. The proposed station would have served a planned housing development at the former Woodside Quarry, as well as providing a park and ride service for Leeds city centre.A turn-back facility was built in 2012 at nearby Horsforth station which allows for future timetabling improvements. That was related to the intention of opening the new station at Horsforth Woodside.In a 2014 feasibility study, the West Yorkshire Combined Authority decided not to pursue with Horsforth Woodside for a number of reasons: the opening of Apperley Bridge and Kirkstall Forge stations on the Airedale Line (which are in the same area), its proximity to Horsforth railway station, and the proposal for a park and ride facility at nearby Boddington. It was argued, however, that with plans to build 2000 homes near the site of the proposed station, it was still needed.

Abbey House Museum in Kirkstall, Leeds, West Yorkshire, England is housed in the gatehouse of the ruined 12th-century Kirkstall Abbey, and is a Grade II* listed building. The house is 3 miles (4.8 km) north west of Leeds city centre on the A65 road. It is part of the Leeds Museums & Galleries group.

Kirkstall Abbey is a ruined Cistercian monastery in Kirkstall, north-west of Leeds city centre in West Yorkshire, England. It is set in a public park on the north bank of the River Aire. It was founded c. 1152. It was disestablished during the Dissolution of the Monasteries under Henry VIII. The picturesque ruins have been drawn and painted by artists such as J. M. W. Turner, Thomas Girtin and John Sell Cotman. Kirkstall Abbey was acquired by the Leeds Corporation as a gift from Colonel North and opened to the public in the late 19th century. The gatehouse became a museum, which is now part of the Leeds Museums & Galleries group.

Bramley Fall Stone stone belongs to the Millstone Grit series, of the Namurian stage of the Carboniferous Period. It is one of the cheapest and best-adapted English stones for extensive engineering works, docks, locks and railways, and for large millstones, grindstones, engine-beds and foundations. The stone was formerly quarried at or near the village of Bramley, Leeds. Evidence of the quarries, which were discontinued around 1930, remain in Bramley Fall Park. A similar Millstone Grit stone also occurs over an extensive area at Calverley where Ann Husler ran a quarrying business in the 19th century, and at Ilkley and Pateley in Yorkshire. A somewhat similar stone, which can be very coarse, approaching a conglomerate is found at Weetwood, Meanwood and Horsforth. Similar Millstone Grits have also been quarried in Derbyshire.

Bramley Fall Park (also known as Bramley Fall Woods or Bramley Fall Park & Woods) is a 32.37 acres (13.10 ha) public park in Bramley, Leeds, England. It is managed by Leeds City Council. Before it was a public park, Bramley Fall was a large quarry with Bramley Fall stone contributing to many notable buildings in the area including Leeds Town Hall, Kirkstall Abbey and the Corn Exchange.

Moor Grange County Secondary School was an all-boys school located in the Leeds postal district of Leeds 16 at the junction of Parkstone Avenue and the West Park section of the Leeds Outer Ring Road. Although it was named Moor Grange, it was actually located in the Ireland Wood area with Moor Grange Estate being located just across the ring road. The school had a main section four storeys high. The science block was located on the top of a two-storey building above the woodwork, metalwork, science and art rooms. It also had a set of annexes used as classrooms adjacent to the playground. The school was renamed Moor Grange High School in the 1970s. It was demolished in the late 1980s and is now the site of Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs house and a new road named Redvers Close. The school opened in 1960 for years from nearby West Park County Secondary School which reverted to its original purpose as an all-girls school from September 1961 after the last class of boys left.

West Park is a suburb of north-west Leeds, West Yorkshire, England, north of Headingley. It is a mixed area of private suburban housing and suburban council estates. The name derives from its main park (approximately 500 metres north-south by 300 metres east-west) containing playing fields together with a conservation area of grassy meadow ending in woodland. The largest housing estate in West Park is Moor Grange. The majority of the area sits in the Weetwood ward of Leeds City Council, except for the south west corner sitting in the neighbouring Kirkstall ward.

Kirkstall Forge railway station is a suburban station serving the Kirkstall area of Leeds, West Yorkshire, England. It is on the Leeds to Bradford Line between Leeds City and Shipley and was opened on 19 June 2016, near the site of an earlier station with the same name.

Kirkstall Brewery is a complex of Grade II listed buildings built in the 19th century on either side of the Leeds and Liverpool Canal.

Kirkstall Bridge is a Grade II listed road bridge in Kirkstall, City of Leeds, West Yorkshire, leading the B6157 road across the River Aire and the railway line between Leeds and Shipley. The bridge was erected by J. A. Mackay, then City Engineer of Leeds, and opened to traffic in June 1912. The event is commemorated by a cast iron plaque at the eastern end. Cast iron segmental arches on stone piers carry the road, slightly rising from east to west, across the river. The abutments are decorated with the coat of arms of Leeds looking towards the river. Their top parts are pierced, as are the parapet rails and the spandrels of the bridge arches. The lamp posts on the abutments were installed in the middle of the 20th century.
