Carlsruhe railway station

Carlsruhe () is a town in the Shire of Macedon Ranges between Woodend and Kyneton, alongside the old Calder Highway, although now bypassed by the Calder Freeway. It is approximately 50 minutes from both Melbourne and Bendigo. At the 2011 census, Carlsruhe and the surrounding area had a population of 456.

Woodend North (traditionally North Woodend) is a locality 4 km north of Woodend, Victoria in the Shire of Macedon Ranges in central Victoria, Australia. Formerly a distinct locality, Woodend North has effectively become the northern extension of the township of Woodend. The locality is now a mainly residential and agricultural area, with some light secondary industrial sites. At the 2006 census, Woodend North had a population of 313.

Tylden railway station, a former station on the Daylesford railway line in Victoria, Australia, was located about 2.4 km to the east of Tylden township, near Central Road. The station opened at the same time as the Carlsruhe to Trentham section of the line on 16 February 1880, and closing on or before 3 July 1978 when the line was closed. The Tylden Railway Station building was moved one mile West of its original location and placed on bluestone footings, behind a circa 1860-70's Victorian house at the intersection of Chanters Lane and the Woodend- Trentham Road. In 2015/16, as part of controversial expansion of a bluestone mine on the edge of the Tylden township, New Zealand owned Multi National Corporation, Fulton Hogan, demolished the Victorian home, an adjoining historic Shearing shed and the Tylden Railway Station building, with an excavator, feeding the remains of all buildings through a tub grinder, turning it to mulch, where it still lies to this day. This is despite several attempts by locals in the region to relocate or save the building. The tracks have been dismantled, but a single platform embankment remains. By 1969, the platform was 46m in length, and by 1975, the station was working under no-one-in-charge conditions.The station was 90.9 km from Spencer Street Station (Southern Cross railway station), via Carlsruhe.

Kyneton railway station is located on the Deniliquin line in Victoria, Australia. It serves the town of Kyneton, and opened on 25 April 1862.The station is served by V/Line Bendigo, Echuca and Swan Hill line trains, with some peak-hour services to and from Melbourne terminating here. Between 1977 and 1979, the Kyneton Provender Coy Siding and Watson's Siding were both abolished.In August 1990, a number of sidings, crossovers, signal posts and the goods shed and goods platform track were all abolished.The station was upgraded as part of the Regional Fast Rail project in 2005, with the platforms re-aligned, the manual interlocking frame and level crossing gates decommissioned, and remote-controlled computer-based signalling provided. Also as part of the project, the double-track line between Kyneton and Bendigo was singled.The disused Carlsruhe railway station is located between Kyneton and Woodend. A demolished station was located at Redesdale Junction, between Kyneton and Malmsbury.

Kyneton High School is a secondary school in Kyneton, Victoria, Australia, approximately 90 km north of Melbourne. It was built in 1912, and opened in 1928 under the name of Kyneton High School.

Holgate Brewhouse is a small, independent, family-owned brewery in Woodend, Victoria, Australia. The brewery operations began in 1999 and were moved to the Keatings Hotel in 2005, where the Brewhouse also operates a restaurant and hotel. Holgate beers are available in bottles and on tap throughout the Melbourne area. Their beers have consistently won accolades at the Australian International Beer Awards, including gold medals for the Mt Macedon Ale and Pilsner, as well as the 2008 Premier's Trophy for Best Victorian Beer for the Big Reg Lager.

Kyneton Post Office is a heritage-listed post office at 113 Mollison Street, Kyneton, Victoria, Australia. It was designed by Peter Kerr of the colonial Public Works Department and built in 1870–71. It was added to the Australian Commonwealth Heritage List on 8 November 2011.

Woodend railway station is located on the Deniliquin line in Victoria, Australia. It serves the town of Woodend, and opened on 8 July 1861.At the time of opening it was the terminus of the railway line after being extended from Sunbury. It remained the terminus until it was extended to Kyneton the next yearIn December 1897, the original station building was destroyed by fire.In 1960, a crossover at the up end of the station was abolished.The station once had extra sidings on the far side of Platform 2, as well as a turntable. The sidings were abolished in February 1990, and the turntable was relocated to Castlemaine in the early 1990s, for use by the Victorian Goldfields Railway. In March 1995, the signal box was abolished, and was replaced with a signal bay within the Platform 1 station building. A crossover at the down end of the station and the turntable road were also abolished by March of that year. On 17 January 2005, the signal bay itself was abolished.The original stationmaster's house still stands. It was built in 1897 and, at the time, the stationmaster was able to see along the track from the doorways. The disused Carlsruhe station is located between Woodend and Kyneton stations.

At the 2021 census, Woodend had a population of 6,732 and is located on the Country of the Dja Dja Wurrung, Taungurung and Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung Peoples who are traditional custodians of this area.
