Sooner Mall is a regional shopping mall and trade area located in Norman, Oklahoma. It contains four major department store anchors, and a total of 73 tenants comprising a total of approximately 512,000 square feet of gross leasable area. It is also the top employer of University of Oklahoma students. The anchor stores are JCPenney and Dillard's. There is one vacant anchor store that was once Sears. Junior anchors are Get Air Trampoline Park, Sun & Ski Sports, and JoAnn Fabrics. The mall was built in 1976 as Sooner Fashion Mall. It was expanded in 1988 when Dillard's moved to a new store. JCPenney, which already had a store in the mall, moved into Dillard's original location.In 1996, the mall was purchased by General Growth Properties. On November 20, 1999, the mall was renamed Sooner Mall. In 2015, Sears Holdings spun off 235 of its properties, including the Sears at Sooner Mall, into Seritage Growth Properties.On October 15, 2018, it was announced that Sears would be closing as part of a plan to close 142 stores nationwide.

The Pioneer Library System (PLS) is a public library system that serves residents in the central Oklahoma counties of Cleveland, Pottawatomie and McClain with administrative offices in Norman. Additionally, the system also allows those served by the Metropolitan Library System (Oklahoma County) to check out materials via a reciprocal borrowing agreement, and also allows non-residents to borrow materials if they pay an annual fee. The twelve-branch system is governed by a board of trustees. Lisa Wells currently serves as executive director.The cities of Moore, Norman and Shawnee are served by Redbox-style automated DVD kiosks. Norman is also home to three "24 Hour Libraries" which are automated kiosks. The location at the Irving Recreation Center in Norman is the first such machine in North America to allow customers 24-hour access to library materials. Customers are able to retrieve "holds" from the kiosks or browse available books for checkout.

University of Oklahoma Westheimer Airport (IATA: OUN, ICAO: KOUN, FAA LID: OUN) (Max Westheimer Airport) is a public use airport in Norman, in Cleveland County, Oklahoma. It is owned by the University of Oklahoma. The National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2021–2025 categorized it as a reliever airport.

Naval Air Station Norman is a former United States Navy air station. It was also called a Naval Flight Training Center. The air station opened in 1942 as the navy sought to expand its training capacity during World War II. It was co-located at University of Oklahoma Westheimer Airport. After the War, the base was inactivated as the military downsized. The base was reactivated in 1952 and remained open until 1959. The base was turned over to the University of Oklahoma.In 1944, the station fielded a football team called the Zoomers.

KWPN (640 kHz, "ESPN Radio 640") is a commercial AM radio station licensed to Moore, Oklahoma, and serving the Oklahoma City metropolitan area. It is owned by Cumulus Media and airs a sports format. While Cumulus owns three sports stations in Oklahoma City, WWLS-FM and WKY have mostly local shows on weekdays, while KWPN carries mostly syndicated programming from ESPN Radio. The studios and offices are on NW 64th Street in Northwest Oklahoma City.KWPN's transmitter is off West Indian Hills Road in Norman. It broadcasts with a power of 5,000 watts by day; because AM 640 is a clear channel frequency, reserved for Class A KFI in Los Angeles, KWPN must reduce power to 1,000 watts at night to avoid interference. A directional antenna is used at all times.

Norman High School is a four-year public high school in Norman, Oklahoma, with a steady enrollment of approximately 2,000 students. It is accredited by North Central Association, the Oklahoma State Department of Education and the Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association. The school year consists of two 15-week semesters with a 6 class flexible schedule, consisting of 52 minute periods. Norman High School is part of the Norman Independent School District No. 29 of Cleveland County, Oklahoma, more commonly known as Norman Public Schools (NPS). Norman High was ranked as one of the top 1,400 high schools in the United States in 2009.

There are over 15,000 students enrolled in the district. The district consists of 17 elementary schools, four middle schools, and three high schools.

Norman North High School is a public, co-educational secondary school in Norman, Oklahoma. It was established on August 21, 1997, on the grounds of what had been Longfellow Middle School since 1972. Longfellow Has now been relocated to the building that once was Central Mid-High.

Riverwind Casino is a casino located in Norman,Oklahoma that opened in 2006. The 219,000 square feet (20,300 m2) casino, owned and operated by the Chickasaw Nation, is one of the largest in the state. In addition to the casino floor, the facility also has two restaurants, a lounge, a food court, several bars, valet parking and a 1500-seat theatre that hosts concerts. Riverwind also opened a 100-room adjoining hotel in February 2009. The casino is located in at the Interstate 35/State Highway 9 west junction.

The Moore–Lindsay House is a Queen Anne style Victorian historic house located in Norman, Oklahoma. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and now houses a museum.

The Julian P. Kanter Political Commercial Archive at the University of Oklahoma is a depository for political television and radio commercials. The purpose of the archive is to preserve these materials while making them available for research. The Julian P. Kanter Political Commercial Archive has been designated an official project by Save America's Treasures.
