Euline Brock Downtown Denton Transit Center (formerly Downtown Denton Transit Center) is a multimodal transit center that provides DCTA bus and A-train commuter rail connections in Denton, Texas. It is east of the Denton County Courthouse-on-the-Square and is the northern terminus of the A-train. In 2013, the station was renamed to honor Euline Brock, former mayor of Denton from 2000 to 2006. The Euline Brock Downtown Denton Transit Center station is one of two stations within Denton, along with Medpark Station; the other three are in Lewisville.

Golden Triangle Mall is an enclosed, single-level shopping mall located at the intersection of Loop 288 and I-35E in Denton, Texas, United States. It contains seven current anchors, a playplace, and total leasable floor area of 764,719 sq ft (71,044.7 m2) total. The anchors are Ross Dress for Less, Conn's, H&M, JCPenney, Barnes & Noble, Fitness Connection, and Dillard's. A major renovation began in 2012 that completely reconstructed the mall, adding and reconstructing amenities such as a new Food Court, a new Center Court, a performance area, mall-wide Wi-Fi, and new seating areas with charging stations. The mall has since attracted a spate of new retailers, including Buckle, Charlotte Russe, Torrid and Zumiez; along with new restaurants including Corner Bakery, Taco Cabana, Tobu Asian and Italia Express. The mall's retailers have also renovated their stores and storefronts, including JCPenney, Dillard's, Victoria's Secret and Hot Topic.In March 2015, H&M announced plans to lease a 23,000-square-foot fashion anchor space in the mall, with a location near the west entrance patio and fountain area and with exterior signage and access.

Denton is a city in and the county seat of Denton County, Texas, United States. With a population of 139,869 as of 2020, it is the 27th-most populous city in Texas, the 197th-most populous city in the United States, and the 12th-most populous city in the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex. A Texas land grant led to the formation of Denton County in 1846, and the city was incorporated in 1866. Both were named after pioneer and Texas militia captain John B. Denton. The arrival of a railroad line in the city in 1881 spurred population, and the establishment of the University of North Texas in 1890 and Texas Woman's University in 1901 distinguished the city from neighboring regions. After the construction of Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport finished in 1974, the city had more rapid growth; as of 2011, Denton was the seventh-fastest growing city with a population of over 100,000 in the country. Located on the far north end of the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex in North Texas on Interstate 35, Denton is known for its active music scene; the North Texas State Fair and Rodeo, Denton Arts and Jazz Festival, and Thin Line Fest attract over 300,000 people to the city each year. The city has hot, humid summers and few extreme weather events. Its diverse citizenry is represented by a nonpartisan city council, and numerous county and state departments have offices in the city. With over 45,000 students enrolled at the two universities within its city limits, Denton is often characterized as a college town. As a result of the universities' growth, educational services play a large role in the city's economy. Residents are served by the Denton County Transportation Authority, which provides commuter rail and bus service to the area.

The Denton Confederate Soldier Monument was an outdoor Confederate memorial installed in downtown Denton, Texas, in the United States.

The Denton County Courthouse-on-the-Square is the former courthouse of Denton County located in the county seat Denton, Texas. The Denton County Courthouse-on-the-Square was constructed in 1896. In addition to county offices, the "Courthouse-on-the-Square Museum" also calls it home. The courthouse is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.The Courthouse is also the final resting place of John B. Denton, the county's and city's namesake. In 1918, a monument to Confederate Soldiers was gifted to Denton by the local chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy and placed on the grounds of the Courthouse-on-the-Square. The monument was titled "Our Confederate Soldiers" and contained separate drinking water fountains at the base, with one side etched "whites" and the other "colored." The monument was removed on June 23, 2020, following decades of protest urging its removal, with the Denton County Commissioners citing the safety of the artifact as the reason for it being removed.

The Denton Community Theatre was a local theatre company located in Denton, Texas in the United States. It serves as one of the oldest community theatres in the North Texas area having been in existence since 1969. It is located at the historic Campus Theatre on West Hickory Street. In 2020, it merged with another local theatre company (Music Theatre of Denton) to form a new company - Theatre Denton. Throughout the Denton community, people, businesses, and educators are working together to better implement the arts into the Northern Texas area. The goal is to develop a more livable community by supporting the growth and more responsive use of artistic and cultural resources that exist in Denton.

Texas' 26th congressional district of the United States House of Representatives includes rural Cooke County to the north and some of Wise County to the West and includes parts of Denton County, including Flower Mound, Lewisville and parts of Corinth, Carrollton, Little Elm and The Colony. The current Representative is Michael C. Burgess. The district is best known as the seat of former House Majority Leader Dick Armey.

The Pioneer Woman statue is a work created by sculptor Leo Friedlander. It is located at the Texas Woman's University (TWU) in Denton, Texas, United States, and was commissioned as part of the Texas Centenary celebrations to mark the 100th anniversary of Texas Independence from Mexico. The sculpture was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2018.

Texas Woman's University (TWU) is a public coeducational university in Denton, Texas, with two health science center-focused campuses in Dallas and Houston. While TWU has been fully co-educational since 1994, it is the largest state-supported university primarily for women in the United States. The university is part of the Texas Woman's University System. It offers undergraduate and graduate degree programs in 60 areas of study across six colleges.

Pioneer Hall is a building on the campus of Texas Woman's University in Denton, Texas, that is the home of the TWU Pioneers basketball, gymnastics, and volleyball teams as well as numerous fitness facilities, classrooms, and offices. Groundbreaking occurred on March 8, 1996, and the $15.5 million facility was completed by spring 1997. It was dedicated in 1998, and, as of 2013, was the most recently constructed building on TWU's campus. The facility was designed as a three-story, 140,000-square-foot (13,000 m2) brick building that features a prominent gray-domed rotunda.Pioneer Hall is the home of Kitty Magee Arena, a multipurpose gymnasium that hosts the University's intercollegiate basketball, gymnastics, and volleyball teams. The Arena also hosts other athletic events, including TWU intramural and recreational sports, high school basketball and volleyball, and summer camps. In addition, it is the site of TWU's commencement ceremonies. Magee Arena's standard seating capacity is 1,800, although this can be increased up to 2,700. The facility, which was named in honor of TWU athletics innovator Kitty Winter Magee, has been renovated twice; in 2005, when new lighting was installed, and in 2009, when its floor was replaced.Pioneer Hall also includes an indoor swimming pool, racquetball courts, and a running track, in addition to serving as the home of TWU's Kinesiology Department. Other TWU departments and programs housed in the building include Conference Services, Dance, and Fitness and Recreation. Its fitness facilities are available to TWU students without charge and are also open to fee-paying members of the public.In addition to Magee Arena and the swimming pool, the first floor includes an athletic training room, team locker rooms, and classrooms (including seminar rooms). The second floor is home to TWU's Intercollegiate Athletics offices as well as the Department of Kinesiology; also on the second floor are academic offices, additional classrooms, the racquetball courts, a climbing wall, and a weight room. The third floor features two large aerobics and dance studios.

The University of North Texas College of Business is a constituent college of the University of North Texas in Denton. It is organized in five academic departments — (i) Accounting, (ii) Finance, Insurance, Real Estate & Law (FIREL), (iii) Information Technology & Decision Sciences, (iv) Management, and (v) Marketing & Logistics. The College also has six interdisciplinary centers — (a) the Center for NAFTA Studies, (b) the Information Systems Research Center, (c) the Institute of Petroleum Accounting, (d) the Murphy Center for Entrepreneurship (e) the Professional Leadership Program, and (f) the Center for Logistics Education & Research. The College awards Bachelors, Masters, and Doctor of Philosophy degrees.

Lucky Lou's is a bar located in the college town of Denton, Texas. Opened in 1996, Lou's established itself as popular bar in the area. Lou's has three separate bar serving areas, foosball tables, arcade games and pool tables. There is a large outdoor patio area that faces out to the Fry Street area. Lou's had a beer specifically created for it by Franconia Brewing Company called "Lucky 7". The bar has been visited by the ESPN Street Team and hosted the official 2010 playoff berth party for FC Dallas and its players.
