First Presbyterian Church is a historic church at 410 West Kaufman Street in Paris, Texas. It was built in 1892, and added to the National Register in 1988.

The First Church of Christ, Scientist at 339 West Kaufman in Paris, Texas, is a former Church of Christ, Scientist church and an historic structure that, in 1988, was added to the National Register of Historic Places. It was then vacant. In 2009 it was being used by a Spanish-speaking Baptist congregation.It is a one-story raised brick building, with broad steps leading up to a portico of Ionic columns and a large entablature. It has double French doors with transoms leading to its sanctuary. The sides have three tall arched windows.Its nomination suggests it is significant as "one of the earlier Christian Science churches in Texas" and as "one of the first Beaux Arts-style buildings constructed in Paris, Texas after the fire [of 1916], it is an unusually well-detailed small church. It compares favorably with Temple Freda (NR 1984) in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas."A photo taken in Winter 1984/85 shows that a banner displaying "Ensign Christian Center" appears in the entablature above its front entrance, while the 2015 photo above shows a blank banner obscuring carved letters after "FIR....".

The Sam Bell Maxey House is a historic house in Paris, Lamar County, Texas. Samuel Bell Maxey, a prominent local attorney and later two-term U.S. senator, built the large two-story house after serving as a major general in the Confederate Army. It is built in the High Victorian Italianate style. From 1868 to 1966, the house was the home of Samuel B. Maxey and his family. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places listings in Lamar County, Texas on March 18, 1971. The house was designated a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark in 1962. Restoration was completed September 1, 1980, and it was opened to the public on a tour basis. On January 1, 2008, the house was transferred from the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department to the Texas Historical Commission and is now operated at the Sam Bell Maxey House State Historic Site.

The Means–Justiss House on 6th St., SE, in Paris, Texas is a one-and-a-half-story house that was built in c.1923: by 1926 it replaced a two-story house that was on its location in 1920. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.It is a "fine" Craftsman bungalow apparently built by Oscar and Mary Means. It was later occupied by Thomas Justiss, supervisor of Paris schools.

Chisum Independent School District, or CISD, is a public school district based in the southern portion of Paris, Texas. The district was created on July 1, 1985, by the consolidation of the Delmar and West Lamar School Districts, as the Delmar-West Lamar Consolidated Independent School District, and adopted its present name on August 21, 1986.The district serves southern portions of Paris, the cities of Roxton and Toco, as well as the communities of Brookston and Petty in Lamar County. A small portion of the district extends into central Delta County, including the community of Lake Creek.In 2009, the school district was rated "recognized" by the Texas Education Agency. It was rated as "Meets Requirements" in 2022.

H. L. "Hub" Hollis Field is a baseball venue located in Paris, Texas, and the home of the Paris Junior College Dragons baseball team. The facility is named after the school's first Athletic Director and Head Football Coach, who worked in the 1920s.
