L'Institut de recherche d'Hydro-Québec (Hydro-Québec Research Institute), known by its acronym IREQ ("Institut de recherche en électricité du Québec", Quebec Electricity Research Institute) is a research institute established in 1967 by government-owned utility Hydro-Québec. IREQ operates from Varennes, a town on the south shore of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. IREQ operates on an annual research budget of approximately $100 million and specializes in the areas of high voltage, mechanics and thermomechanics, network simulations and calibration.In the last 20 years, the institute has also conducted research and development work towards the electrification of ground transportation. Current projects include battery advanced materials, including work on molten salts, lithium iron phosphate and nanotitanate, improved electric drive trains and the impacts of the large scale deployment of electric vehicles on the power grid. Projects focus on technologies to increase range, improve performance in cold weather and reduce charging time.

Boucherville is a city in the Montérégie region in Quebec, Canada. It is a suburb of Montreal on the South shore of the Saint Lawrence River. Boucherville is part of both the urban agglomeration of Longueuil and Montreal Metropolitan Community regional government.

The Terminus De Montarville was inaugurated November 20, 2007 by the former Agence métropolitaine de transport (AMT) & the city of Boucherville. The bus terminus was built on the corner of Quebec route 132 and Boulevard De Montarville. It includes a 308 car and 35 bicycle capacity parking and seven waiting areas for buses on two bus platforms.It was built to help transfers between Boucherville's RTL bus lines 61, 80 and 85, and CIT Sorel-Varennes bus lines 700, 720, 721 and 722 on April 7, 2008.These buses link to Longueuil terminus and Radisson station. On June 1, 2017, the AMT was dissolved and replaced by two new governing bodies: the Autorité régionale de transport métropolitain (ARTM) and the Réseau de transport métropolitain (RTM). The RTM took over all former AMT services, including the operation of the station.

The Sabrevois River is a tributary of the south shore of the St. Lawrence River, flowing in the city of Boucherville, in the administrative region of Montérégie, southwest of province of Quebec, in Canada. The upper part of this watercourse crosses the agricultural zone between autoroute 30 and route 132. This upper part is mainly accessible via the chemin du rang Lustucru. The lower part passes the urban area of Boucherville by cutting De Montbrun street, De Montarville boulevard and route 132. The river surface is generally frozen from mid-December to the end of March. Safe circulation on the ice is generally done from the end of December to the beginning of March. The water level of the river varies with the seasons and the precipitation.

The Boisé du Tremblay is a wooded area in Longueuil, Quebec, Canada. The wooded area is located partially in the borough of Le Vieux-Longueuil and partially within the city of Boucherville. The territory of the woods is 267 hectares (660 acres), of which 174 hectares (430 acres) belongs to the City of Longueuil.The Boisé du Tremblay's biodiversity is considered to be unique within the Montérégie region. It is part of the blue-green infrastructure of Greater Montreal as well as the Mont Saint-Bruno Forest Corridor. It is home to numerous species of flora and fauna, notably the Western chorus frog.In January 2012, the City of Longueuil requested that the Boisé du Tremblay be recognized as a Wildlife Reserve by the Quebec Ministry of Natural Resources and Wildlife.

Longueuil—Charles-LeMoyne is a federal electoral district in Quebec, Canada, that has been represented in the House of Commons of Canada since 2015. It encompasses a portion of Quebec formerly included in the electoral districts of Saint-Bruno—Saint-Hubert and Saint-Lambert.Longueuil—Charles-LeMoyne was created by the 2012 federal electoral boundaries redistribution and was legally defined in the 2013 representation order. It came into effect upon the call of the 42nd Canadian federal election, scheduled for 19 October 2015.The riding was originally intended to be named LeMoyne.

Taillon is a provincial electoral district in the Montérégie region of Quebec, Canada that elects members to the National Assembly of Quebec. It comprises part of the borough of Le Vieux-Longueuil of the city of Longueuil. It was created for the 1966 election from Verchères and Chambly electoral districts. It was named after former Quebec Premier Louis-Olivier Taillon who was in power for four days in 1886 and from 1892 to 1896. It is best known as the riding of Parti Québécois founder René Lévesque, who served as premier from 1976 to 1985. For the better part of four decades after the PQ seized it in 1976, Taillon was a stronghold for both the PQ and the sovereigntist cause. In the 1995 Quebec referendum it voted 61% for Quebec to separate. However, in 2018, the Coalition Avenir Québec narrowly won it amid its near-sweep of Montérégie.

Montréal/Boucherville Water Aerodrome (TC LID: CTA7) was located on the Saint Lawrence River near Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The airport was listed as abandoned in the 15 March 2007 Canada Flight Supplement.

The Colisée Jean-Béliveau (originally known as Aréna Jacques-Cartier) is a multi-purpose arena built in 1966 in Longueuil, Quebec, and home to the ice hockey team of Le Collège Français de Longueuil, that play in the Quebec Junior AAA Hockey League. The arena was originally named Aréna Jacques-Cartier, but renamed in 1971 in honour of former hockey great, Jean Béliveau to mark his 500th career goal.It has 2,400 seats, and a total capacity of 2,600 with standing room. It previously hosted two ice hockey teams in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, the Longueuil Chevaliers (1982–87) and the Longueuil Collège Français (1988–91). The original plans were conceived by the architects Major and Gagnon, then completed by consulting engineers Lalonde, Girouard & Letendre, and was built by the firm Désourdy (now named Construction DJL inc.). It was built at a cost of $924,000.

Pierre Boucher Hospital (French: Hôpital Pierre-Boucher) is a Canadian hospital located on Jacques Cartier Boulevard in Longueuil, Quebec. Inaugurated in 1982, the hospital is the regional health centre for 245,000 people located in the borough of Le Vieux-Longueuil, as well as the cities and towns of Boucherville, Varennes, Verchères, Sainte-Julie, Saint-Amable, Calixa-Lavallée and Contrecœur.The hospital provides general, specialized and ultraspecialized health care, and is also the location of 3,400 births per year. The hospital is home to 329 beds, and its emergency department is overcrowded at 55,000 visits per year. In 2003, the Government of Quebec invested $60 million into the hospital, which was expanded and renovated. The hospital also transfers patients to the nearby, larger, Hôpital Charles-LeMoyne.
