Jarry Park Stadium (French: Stade Parc Jarry [stad paʁk ʒaʁi]) is a tennis stadium in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It was formerly a baseball stadium, home to the Montreal Expos (now Washington Nationals), from 1969 to 1976. The Expos were Major League Baseball's first Canadian franchise. It served as a temporary home (for eight seasons) until the domed Olympic Stadium was finished and made available to the Expos. The ballpark was typically called simply (and inaccurately, since the stadium was built within the larger park) "Jarry Park" or Parc Jarry. The stadium hosted two National Football League preseason games in 1969; August 25 (Detroit Lions vs Boston Patriots) and September 11 (New York Giants vs Pittsburgh Steelers).

Parc station, also known as Park Avenue station and formerly Jean-Talon station (French: Gare Jean-Talon), is a historic railway station building in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Its western end currently houses the Montreal Metro's Parc station, while businesses occupy the rest of the building. The main building no longer serves the railway; the Exo commuter rail Parc station is adjacent. It is located on Jean-Talon Street at the end of Park Avenue in the Park Extension neighbourhood of the borough of Villeray–Saint-Michel–Parc-Extension. The station was built by the Canadian Pacific Railway in 1931. Its traffic declined in the 1950s and it closed in 1984 when Via Rail transferred service to lines headed into Montreal Central Station. The City of Montreal purchased the building and the western end was converted as a metro station and the remainder of the building was adapted for business use. It currently houses a Joe Fresh outlet.

Jarry Park (French: Parc Jarry) is an urban park in the Villeray–Saint-Michel–Parc-Extension borough of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Jarry Park has total area of 36 hectares. It is considered by the City of Montreal as one of its large parks.From 1969 to 1976, the former Jarry Park Stadium (located in the southwest corner of the park, now IGA Stadium) was the home of the Montreal Expos, Canada's first Major League Baseball team. In 1984 it also hosted a Mass by Pope John Paul II. There is now a hall dedicated to him in District Police Station 31 (Villeray). Facilities include softball, cricket and soccer fields, a skate park, tennis and basketball courts, a public pool and an artificial lake. In addition, there is a monument called "Paix des enfants" ("Children's Peace"), consisting of violent toys fused together. The park is bordered by Rue Jarry to the north, Boulevard Saint-Laurent to the east, and the Canadian Pacific rail tracks to the west. On the south it is bordered by Gary-Garter Street (formerly Faillon Street), named in honour of the longtime Montreal Expos player Gary Carter.The park was named in honour of Raoul Jarry (1885–1930), a member of Montreal's City Council. On 24 June 1965, Jarry Park hosted the show for Saint-Jean-Baptiste Day, the French-Canadian annual celebration day. That year, Jarry Park was chosen to present the most important event of the celebrations. 40,000 people came to hear some of Québec's most acclaimed singers, namely Pauline Julien, Clémence DesRochers, Jean-Pierre Ferland, Christine Charbonneau, Hervé Brousseau, Les Cailloux, Pierre Calvé, Renée Claude, and Pierre Létourneau.

Breakglass Studios is a Canadian analogue and digital recording studio established in 2005. Co-founded by producer Dave Smith and Jace Lasek, the 5,000-square-foot (460 m2) studio space is located in the Le Plateau-Mont-Royal area of Montreal, Quebec. Since its inception, the studio has had a third partner in James Benjamin.Local and international bands have recorded there, such as The Besnard Lakes, Les Breastfeeders, Bionic, Holy Fuck, Islands, Patrick Watson, Stars, Sunset Rubdown, Human Human, Dead Messenger, The Unicorns, Voilà!, Wintersleep, Wolf Parade, Purity Ring, The Annoying, The Loodies and The World Provider.Patrick Watson's album, Close to Paradise, recorded at Breakglass Studio, was awarded the Polaris Music Prize in 2007.Breakglass has a collection of vintage and new equipment. Available is a 1968 Neve Pre 80 Series input console. Originally built by Rupert Neve and refurbished by Hutch at Manley in 1994 (recapped, rewired, functionally upgraded), it is the first 16-buss Neve console ever produced. In 2012, Breakglass opened up a second mixing and tracking suite featuring an SSL 9080J console.

De Castelnau station is a Montreal Metro station in the Villeray–Saint-Michel–Parc-Extension borough of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It is operated by the Société de transport de Montréal (STM) and serves the Blue Line. It is located in the Villeray district.

Athena Park (French: Parc Athéna) is a small park in the Park Extension neighborhood of the Villeray–Saint-Michel–Parc-Extension borough of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It occupies a quadrilateral bounded by Jean Talon Street, Bloomfield Street, de l'Épée Avenue, and Greenshields Street. It was named in honor of the ancient Greek goddess Athena, by the City of Montreal in 1986.

Park Extension (French: Parc-Extension) is a neighbourhood in the city of Montréal, Québec. It is located in the borough of Villeray–Saint-Michel–Parc-Extension and has a population of 33,800 and an area of 1.6 km² (400 acres). The name derives from the fact that it is situated at the north end of Park Avenue and is literally an "extension" of the artery. The area is known by locals as "Park Ex."

Laurier was a former provincial electoral district in the Montreal region of the province of Quebec, Canada. It corresponded to the Parc-Extension neighbourhood in Montreal. It was created for the 1966 election from parts of Laval, Montréal-Laurier, and Montréal-Outremont electoral districts. Its final election was in 1989. It disappeared in the 1994 election and its successor electoral district was Laurier-Dorion. It was named in honour of former Canadian Prime Minister Wilfrid Laurier.

Little Italy (French: La Petite-Italie; Italian: Piccola Italia) is a neighbourhood in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It is centered on Saint Laurent Boulevard between Jean Talon Street and St. Zotique Street in the borough of Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie, south of Villeray and Jarry Park. Little Italy is home to Italian Canadian-owned shops and restaurants, the Jean-Talon Market, as well as the Church of the Madonna della Difesa, built by Italian immigrants from the Campobasso area in Molise to commemorate the apparition of the Virgin Mary in La Difesa, an area of Campobasso. Montreal has the second largest Italian population in Canada after Toronto. There are 260,345 people of Italian ancestry living within the Greater Montreal Area.

Villeray is a neighbourhood in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It is part of the Villeray–Saint-Michel–Parc-Extension borough and is situated in the north-central part of the Island of Montreal.

Dorion was a provincial electoral district in the province of Quebec, Canada. It corresponded to the Villeray neighbourhood in Montreal. It was created for the 1966 election from parts of Montréal-Outremont, Montréal–Jeanne-Mance and Montréal-Laurier electoral districts. Its final election was in 1989. It disappeared in the 1994 election and its successor electoral district was Laurier-Dorion. A Montréal-Dorion district also existed from 1912 to 1939. The electoral district was named in honour of a prime minister of the United Province of Canada, Antoine-Aimé Dorion.
