National Multicultural Western Heritage Museum

Tandy Hills Natural Area (THNA) is a 210-acre (0.85 km2) indigenous remnant prairie located in Fort Worth, Texas. The land was obtained by the City of Fort Worth in 1960 and designated a natural area in 1987. Noted for its unusually complete collection of prairie flora, THNA contains more than 1200 native species. The show of spring wildflowers is unsurpassed in the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex. The land is a living demonstration of how most of Fort Worth appeared in predevelopment times. Tandy Hills is adjacent to Interstate 30 and less than 5 miles from Downtown Fort Worth. The fact that it has never been developed and survived into the 21st century in relatively pristine condition is remarkable. In June 2020, the city of Fort Worth purchased 50+ acres of land adjacent to Tandy Hills dubbed "Broadcast Hill," for $610,000. The Friends of Tandy Hills Natural Area, a non-profit organization, contributed more than $64,000 to the purchase from their Broadcast Hill fundraising drive. The addition of Broadcast Hill makes Tandy Hills one of the largest urban open space areas in the nation.

Nolan Catholic High School is a private, coeducational, college preparatory school, formerly in the Marianist tradition, and is located in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Fort Worth, Texas. It serves grades 9-12, has an average student population of 800, and serves the Church by educating and forming youth in the Roman Catholic faith through its mission.

Its county seat is Fort Worth. Tarrant County, one of 26 counties created out of the Peters Colony, was established in 1849 and organized the next year. It was named in honor of General Edward H. Tarrant of the Republic of Texas militia.

The Masonic Home and School of Texas was a home for widows and orphans in what is now Fort Worth, Texas from 1889 to 2005. The first superintendent was Dr. Frank Rainey of Austin, Texas. Starting in 1913, it had its own school system, the Masonic Home Independent School District. Orphan Blake R. Van Leer was the only boy in 1909, went on to become president of Georgia Tech and civil rights advocate.The campus included buildings designed by architects Wiley G. Clarkson of Fort Worth and Herbert M. Greene of Dallas, and it was listed in the National Register of Historic Places as a historic district in 1992.

Cutting Edge Haunted House is a haunted house attraction located in an abandoned meat packing factory in Fort Worth, Texas. It was opened in October, 1991. It utilizes old machinery from when the building was a meat packing plant as part of its attraction.Guinness World Records recorded the attraction as "The World's Largest Haunted House" four times. The attraction received a record in Guinness World Records for "World's Largest Walk Through Haunted House".

Paul Laurence Dunbar High School is a comprehensive high school in the Stop Six neighborhood of Fort Worth, Texas, United States. Named for the dialectical poet Paul Laurence Dunbar, the school strives to educate the majority African-American community it serves.

I.M Terrell High School was a secondary school located in Fort Worth, Texas. The school opened in 1882 as the city's first black school, during the era of formal racial segregation in the United States. Though the high school closed in 1973, the building reopened as an elementary school in 1998. After undergoing extensive remodeling and expansion, it is now the home of the I.M. Terrell Academy for STEM and VPA. The school building lies within the Butler Place Historic District.

The Lenora Rolla Heritage Center Museum is a museum in Fort Worth, Texas that focuses on the history of African Americans in Tarrant County and throughout Texas. It is named for Lenora Rolla who initially raised money to purchase the building and start the museum in 1979. It is operated in the historic Boone House and open by appointment with the Tarrant County Black Historical and Genealogical Society.

Butler Place Historic District is a 42-acre area east of the central business district of Fort Worth, Texas. From about 1940-2020, it was a public housing development with 412 units. The site is now to be dedicated to a new purpose, perhaps a museum focused on African Americans in Fort Worth's history.Before the housing community was built, the area was known as Chambers Hill. In the 1930s, Chambers Hill was notorious for squalid housing and prostitution. In 1938 the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce lobbied the Public Works Administration to help clear the dilapidated housing in Chambers Hill and replace it with low-rent housing. Financed by local and federal money, Butler Place opened in 1941. When it opened, rents ranged from $15.50 to $16.75 per month. The housing project was named after Henry H. Butler, a Civil War veteran, who settled in Fort Worth after the war and became its first African American teacher. He was a friend of I. M. Terrell, for whom the closest school is named. The housing project was added to the National Register of Historic Places on August 4, 2011.

Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church and Parsonage comprise a historic Black Catholic church property located at 1100 and 1104 Evans Avenue in Fort Worth, Texas. The buildings are located in the historic African-American neighborhood in southeast Fort Worth. The church and the parsonage were built in 1929 and 1911, respectively, and historically were staffed by the Josephites. Both buildings were added to the register in 1999.
