I.M Terrell High School was a secondary school located in Fort Worth, Texas. The school opened in 1882 as the city's first black school, during the era of formal racial segregation in the United States. Though the high school closed in 1973, the building reopened as an elementary school in 1998. After undergoing extensive remodeling and expansion, it is now the home of the I.M. Terrell Academy for STEM and VPA. The school building lies within the Butler Place Historic District.

Butler Place Historic District is a 42-acre area east of the central business district of Fort Worth, Texas. From about 1940-2020, it was a public housing development with 412 units. The site is now to be dedicated to a new purpose, perhaps a museum focused on African Americans in Fort Worth's history.Before the housing community was built, the area was known as Chambers Hill. In the 1930s, Chambers Hill was notorious for squalid housing and prostitution. In 1938 the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce lobbied the Public Works Administration to help clear the dilapidated housing in Chambers Hill and replace it with low-rent housing. Financed by local and federal money, Butler Place opened in 1941. When it opened, rents ranged from $15.50 to $16.75 per month. The housing project was named after Henry H. Butler, a Civil War veteran, who settled in Fort Worth after the war and became its first African American teacher. He was a friend of I. M. Terrell, for whom the closest school is named. The housing project was added to the National Register of Historic Places on August 4, 2011.

The Lenora Rolla Heritage Center Museum is a museum in Fort Worth, Texas that focuses on the history of African Americans in Tarrant County and throughout Texas. It is named for Lenora Rolla who initially raised money to purchase the building and start the museum in 1979. It is operated in the historic Boone House and open by appointment with the Tarrant County Black Historical and Genealogical Society.

Gulf, Colorado and Santa Fe Railroad Passenger Station is located on 1501 Jones Street in Fort Worth, Texas. The depot was built by the Gulf, Colorado and Santa Fe Railroad (a subsidiary of the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway) in 1900 and renovated in 1938. It was originally called the Fort Worth Union Depot. Other tenant railroads at the station were the Chicago, Rock Island and Gulf Railway (a subsidiary of Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railway or 'Rock Island'), the St. Louis–San Francisco Railway ('Frisco') and the Southern Pacific Railroad.Noteworthy trains included, in the mid-1960s: Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway: Kansas Cityan (Chicago to Dallas) Texas Chief (Chicago to Galveston) Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railway: Twin Star Rocket (Dallas to Minneapolis)The station was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1970. From 1971 to 2002, it was used as Fort Worth's Amtrak station. In 2002, it passed into private ownership, and became an 800-seat venue for weddings, corporate dinners, and other special events, under the name "Ashton Depot".There was an additional Fort Worth station, hosted by the Texas & Pacific Railway on W. Lancaster Avenue, the T&P Station.

The Santa Fe Freight Building is a former freight depot in Fort Worth, Texas. Designed in the style of Art Deco known as PWA Moderne, it was built on the site of an older freight depot in 1938. Upon construction, it was jointly owned by the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway and the Southern Pacific Company. Its first floor was a freight warehouse that also provided cold-storage capabilities while its second floor housed office space for the Santa Fe. In the 1990s, the building had fallen into vacancy and was named one of 15 historic "highly significant endangered properties" in Fort Worth by its Historic and Cultural Landmarks Commission. The building was restored by local developers in 2002 and reopened as the Fort Worth Rail Market, an open market space that was ultimately transformed into restaurant and office space before the project was abandoned by 2005. In 2006, the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) signed a lease to use the Santa Fe Freight Building as its Fort Worth satellite campus, spending approximately $1.2 million to redesign and renovate the building. It continues to serve as UTA Fort Worth, which has awarded over 3,500 total degrees and has expanded to include ten different degree programs since its establishment in 2007.

Texas A&M University School of Law is the law school of Texas A&M University located in downtown Fort Worth, Texas. Established in 1989 as the Texas Wesleyan University School of Law, it was formerly the law school of Texas Wesleyan University until it was acquired by Texas A&M University on August 12, 2013. On August 13, 2013, fully accredited by the American Bar Association, it began operations at the same location. The law school is a member of the Association of American Law Schools (AALS) and offers the Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree through its full-time and part-time programs. Students may also pursue a Master of Laws (LL.M.) or Master of Legal Studies (M.L.S.) degree either online or in-residence.

Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church and Parsonage comprise a historic Black Catholic church property located at 1100 and 1104 Evans Avenue in Fort Worth, Texas. The buildings are located in the historic African-American neighborhood in southeast Fort Worth. The church and the parsonage were built in 1929 and 1911, respectively, and historically were staffed by the Josephites. Both buildings were added to the register in 1999.

The Fort Worth Water Gardens, built in 1974, is located on the south end of downtown Fort Worth between Houston and Commerce Streets next to the Fort Worth Convention Center. The 4.3-acre (1.7 hectare) Water Gardens were designed by noted New York architects Philip Johnson and John Burgee and were dedicated to the City of Fort Worth by the Amon G. Carter Foundation. The urban park is frequently billed as a "cooling oasis in the concrete jungle" of downtown. Its focal points are three pools of water and a terraced knoll, which helps to shield the park from the rest of the City. Interstate 30 was relocated from its former site immediately adjacent to the Water Gardens, making the south end of the park quieter. The park is now situated adjacent to Lancaster Avenue, recently landscaped and prepared for redevelopment. The quiet, blue meditation pool is encircled with cypress trees and towering walls that are covered in thin plane of water that cascades almost 90 degrees down to the sunken blue water feature. The sound of the water on the walls evokes thoughts of a gentle rain shower. The aerating pool features multiple illuminated spray fountains under a canopy of large oak trees. The main attraction of the Water Gardens is the active pool, which has water cascading 38 feet (11 m) down terraces and steps into a small pool at the bottom. The active pool experience was built for people to be able to walk down the terraced steps to be surrounded by and experience the power, sounds and motion of water crashing around them.

Fort Worth Central Station is an intermodal transit center in downtown Fort Worth, Texas. It serves the TEXRail and Trinity Railway Express (TRE) commuter rail lines, Amtrak intercity rail, Greyhound Lines intercity bus and as the main transfer center for Trinity Metro buses. It is located at the corner of 9th and Jones Streets, on the east side of downtown Fort Worth. TRE service began on December 3, 2001, Amtrak service followed in 2002 and most recently TEXRail began service on January 10, 2019. It is the busiest Amtrak station in Texas, by ridership.

Anime Frontier is an annual three-day anime convention held during December at the Fort Worth Convention Center in Fort Worth, Texas.

The Fort Worth Convention Center (formerly known as the Tarrant County Convention Center) is a convention center and indoor arena located in Sundance Square in Fort Worth, Texas. The complex opened on September 30, 1968, and was expanded in 1983, 2002 and 2003.

Texas and Pacific Station, commonly known as T&P Station, is a terminal Trinity Railway Express and TEXRail commuter railroad station is located at 1600 Throckmorton Street in Fort Worth, Texas, on the south side of downtown. It is the current western terminus of the TRE commuter line, and is located near the Fort Worth Convention Center, the Fort Worth Water Gardens, Sundance Square and Tarrant County government facilities. T&P Station features free parking (unlike the nearby Fort Worth Central Station) which can be accessed from West Vickery Boulevard.
