Hatton, Warrington

Walton is a village and civil parish in the Borough of Warrington, Cheshire, England. It is located at the southwest edge of the town of Warrington, next to the parish of Stockton Heath. It is also close to Daresbury and Moore, although these are in the neighbouring borough of Halton. Walton is part of the council ward of Hatton, Stretton and Walton. Walton is divided into Lower Walton and Higher Walton. Higher Walton is south-west of Lower Walton, and is the location of Walton Hall. The estate of Walton Hall and its surrounding gardens, previously owned by the Greenall family, was bought by Warrington Borough Council in 1941 and is now a park with a zoo and municipal golf course.Walton shares its annual church walking day parade with Stockton Heath. The nearest schools are Stockton Heath Primary School and Bridgewater High School.

Creamfields is an electronic dance music festival series founded and organised by British club promoter Cream, with its UK edition taking place on August Bank Holiday weekend, with a number of international editions held across various territories worldwide. First held in 1998 in Winchester, the festival moved to Cream's home city of Liverpool the following year, taking place on the old Liverpool airport, before moving to its current location on the Daresbury estate in Cheshire. The festival, having initially begun as a one-day event with 25,000 people in attendance, is now a four-day event with camping options hosting 70,000 per day. The festival is the UK's most prestigious electronic dance music festival.In 2022, Creamfields celebrated its 25th anniversary by launching a second UK-based festival – Creamfields South. Creamfields South took place at Hylands Park, Chelmsford across the Platinum Jubilee weekend in June and is scheduled to return in 2023, with the original Daresbury festival being renamed Creamfields North.

Stretton is a village and civil parish in the Borough of Warrington, Cheshire, England. The parish includes the village of Lower Stretton. It is at the very southern tip of Warrington, about 4 miles (6.4 km) south of the town centre. It has a large hotel (Park Royal Hotel) and is the site of Warrington's private hospital, run by Spire Healthcare. The village is near junction 10 of the M56 motorway.The Royal Navy Air Station HMS Blackcap existed at Stretton between June 1942 and November 1958. Stretton means "settlement on a Roman Road" (from the Old English stræt and tun). In this case the road ran Northwich to Warrington.

Additionally, between 1986 and 1996, the ground held 5 MCCA Knockout Trophy matches, the last of which saw Cheshire play Hertfordshire.The ground has also hosted a single List-A match between Cheshire and Nottinghamshire in the 1st round of the 1993 NatWest Trophy.During the 1993 Women's Cricket World Cup the ground held a single Women's One Day International between Australia women and the Netherlands.In local domestic cricket, the ground is the home venue of Warrington Cricket Club.

The author Lewis Carroll was born in All Saints' Vicarage in 1832 when his father, Charles Dodgson, was perpetual curate at the church. This was commemorated in March 2012 when the Lewis Carroll Centre, attached to the church, was opened.

The house has three storeys, and is in five bays. The porch is a more modern, and is fronted by a Venetian window. The windows are sashes. The house is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II* listed building.

The Warrington rail crash occurred at Walton Junction just south of the town of Warrington in Lancashire on 29 June 1867. The collision involved a passenger train running into the back of a coal train. Eight people were killed and 33 injured. The accident resulted in changes being made to the management of points and signals.
