Chiba Prefectural Museum of Art (千葉県立美術館, Chiba Kenritsu Bijutsukan) opened in Chiba, Chiba Prefecture, Japan in 1974. The focus of the collection is the work of local artists and of artists with connections to Chiba, and it includes paintings by Asai Chū, Millais, Corot, and Antonio Fontanesi.

The city has an area of 271.77 square kilometres (104.93 sq mi). Chiba City is one of the Kantō region's primary seaports, and is home to Chiba Port, which handles one of the highest volumes of cargo in Japan. Much of the city is residential, although there are many factories and warehouses along the coast. There are several major urban centres in the city, including Makuhari, a prime waterfront business district in which Makuhari Messe is located, and Central Chiba, in which the prefectural government office and the city hall are located. Chiba is famous for the Chiba Urban Monorail, the longest suspended monorail in the world. Some popular destinations in the city include: Kasori Shell Midden, the largest shell mound in the world at 134,000 m2 (160,000 sq yd), Inage Beach, the first artificial beach in Japan which forms part of the longest artificial beach in Japan, and the Chiba City Zoological Park, popular on account of the standing red panda Futa.

Towatari Shrine (登渡神社, Towatari-jinja), also known as Nobuto Shrine (登戸神社, Nobuto-jinja), is a Shinto shrine located in Nobuto, Chūō-ku, Chiba City, Chiba Prefecture. Originally a branch temple of Kongojū-ji, a temple to the Buddhist deity Myōken founded by the Chiba clan (modern Chiba Shrine), it was converted into a Shinto shrine during the mid-19th century.

Teikyō Heisei Nursing Junior College (帝京平成看護短期大学, Teikyō heisei kango tanki daigaku) was a private junior college in the city of Ichihara in Chiba Prefecture, Japan. Established in 1990, the school was operated by Teikyo Group, a foundation that operates more than 30 schools (including colleges) across Japan. The college closed in 2016.
