Smithtown station

Village of the Landing (also known as The Landing) was a short-lived incorporated village in the Town of Smithtown in Suffolk County, on Long Island, in New York, United States. The population was 144 at the time of the 1930 United States census. The Landing is now listed by the Geographic Names Information System as an unincorporated place in Suffolk County.

First Presbyterian Church is a historic Presbyterian church at 175 East Main Street in Smithtown, Suffolk County, New York. It was built in 1825 and the sanctuary is a rectangular, two story frame structure measuring 56 feet (17 m) by 34 feet (10 m). It is sheathed in wood shingles and covered by a gable roof. It features an engaged, square tower surmounted by a tiered, balustraded belfry. The tower has a Palladian window at its second level.The church was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1977.

Located within the district and listed separately on the register are the Halliock Inn and First Presbyterian Church.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

The hospital opened in 1962 as St. John's Smithtown Hospital and its name was changed to its present in 1999. It is a major regional clinical campus for clinical clerkships and postgraduate medical training affiliated with the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine, one of the largest medical schools in the United States. Since 2000, the hospital has been operated by Catholic Health.

Prior to its current name, the park was called Nissequogue River State Park, a name now used for park lands on the former Kings Park Psychiatric Center grounds.
