New Mill Pond is a lake in Smithtown on the Northeast Branch River in Suffolk County, New York and is used for recreational purposes. Construction was completed in 1825. It has a normal surface area of 109 acres (0.44 km2). It is owned by Suffolk County Parks Department. New Mill Pond Dam is of earthen construction. Its height is 15 feet (4.6 m) with a length of 465 feet (142 m). Its capacity is 545 acre-feet (672,000 m3). Normal storage is 308 acre-feet (380,000 m3). It drains an area of 23.02 square miles (59.6 km2).

Caleb Smith State Park Preserve is a state park located in Suffolk County, New York in the United States. The park is near the north shore of Long Island in the town of Smithtown. Prior to its current name, the park was called Nissequogue River State Park, a name now used for park lands on the former Kings Park Psychiatric Center grounds. Previously, it was simply known as the Wyandanch Preserve.

It is a major regional clinical campus for clinical clerkships and postgraduate medical training affiliated with the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine, one of the largest medical schools in the United States. Since 2000, the hospital has been operated by Catholic Health.

Smithtown Central School District is a school district in New York which serves residents in the Smithtown communities of Smithtown, Nesconset, Kings Park, and Saint James. Parts of neighboring Smithtown communities Ronkonkoma, Lake Ronkonkoma, Hauppauge, and Stony Brook are also served. The Smithtown Central School District can be found along the Smithtown and Saint James LIRR stations. Covering an area of 35 square miles (91 km2), SCSD serves approximately 10,000 students in seven elementary schools, three 6-8 middle schools, and two high schools.

First Presbyterian Church is a historic Presbyterian church at 175 East Main Street in Smithtown, Suffolk County, New York. It was built in 1825 and the sanctuary is a rectangular, two story frame structure measuring 56 feet (17 m) by 34 feet (10 m). It is sheathed in wood shingles and covered by a gable roof. It features an engaged, square tower surmounted by a tiered, balustraded belfry. The tower has a Palladian window at its second level.The church was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1977.

Kings Park High School is a four-year secondary school located in Kings Park, New York, United States. It is the only high school for Kings Park Central School District, which serves the community of Kings Park, and students who attended Park View Elementary, Fort Salonga Elementary, Ralph J. Osgood Intermediate School, and William T. Rogers Middle School. KPHS went through construction from 2005 to 2007, remodeling the lobby and cafeteria and again in 2018 to update their auditorium, library, and computer labs. The school principal as of Fall 2022 is Neil Lederer.Kings Park High School's clubs include many Section XI sports teams. There are math and literature clubs. There are a range of music and theater clubs, including honor societies and stage and tech crew. Other clubs include peer support and independent science research.
