Husum

Husum station is in Husum in the German state of Schleswig-Holstein. It was built in 1910 and is currently operated by Deutsche Bahn, which classifies it as a category 3 station. A less prestigious predecessor (built in 1854 and demolished in 1910) was located at the northern end of the station, another station (Husum Nord) is to the north of the current main station.

The Hermann Tast School (German:Hermann-Tast-Schule) is a humanistic high school in Husum. It was founded in 1527 and named after the theologian Hermann Tast (1490–1551), who was born in Husum. Before 1914, it was called the Husum Grammar School (German:Husumer Gelehrtenschule).

The Castle in front of Husum (German: Schloss vor Husum), originally named due to its location in front of the city boundaries when it was built, is situated in Husum, in the district of North Frisia in the state of Schleswig-Holstein. It was initially a secondary residence of the ducal house of Schleswig-Holstein-Gottorf and served as an occasional residence for the Danish royal family during the 18th and 19th centuries. It also accommodated administrative offices, which gradually expanded and eventually occupied most of the building after 1864. These offices remained there until the 20th century, and the castle came to be known as the "royal palace". The castle is the only preserved palace along with the West Coast of Schleswig-Holstein. Today, it serves as a palace museum and cultural center, open to the public for visitation. The palace park is a well-known attraction throughout the region, especially during the annual crocus bloom.

Husumer Mühlenau (German: [ˈhuːzʊmɐ ˈmyːlənaʊ] ; Danish: Husum Mølleå) is a river of Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. It flows into the North Sea near Husum.

Nordsee-Treene is an Amt ("collective municipality") in the district of Nordfriesland, in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. Its seat is in Mildstedt. It was formed on 1 January 2008 from the former Ämter Friedrichstadt (except the town Friedrichstadt), Hattstedt, Nordstrand and Treene. The Amt Nordsee-Treene consists of the following municipalities:

Mildstedt (Danish: Mildsted) is a municipality in the district of Nordfriesland, in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany.

Treene was an Amt ("collective municipality") in the district of Nordfriesland, in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. It was situated between Husum and the Eider River. Its seat was in Mildstedt. In January 2008, it was merged with the Ämter Friedrichstadt, Nordstrand and Hattstedt to form the Amt Nordsee-Treene. The Amt Treene consisted of the following municipalities:

Arlewatt (Danish: Arlevad) is a municipality in the district of Nordfriesland, in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany.

Horstedt (Danish: Horsted, North Frisian: Hoorst) is a municipality in the district of Nordfriesland, in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany.

Südermarsch (Danish: Sønder Marsk) is a municipality in the district of Nordfriesland, in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany.

Hattstedt (Danish: Hatsted, North Frisian: Haatst) is a municipality in the district of Nordfriesland, in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. It is situated near the North Sea coast, approx. 6 km northwest of Husum. Located on the edge of the village is the Mikkelberg-Kunst-und-Cricket Center, a cricket ground which has in the past held neutral Women's One Day Internationals between Denmark Women and the Netherlands Women. Hattstedt is part of the Amt ("collective municipality") Nordsee-Treene. Hattstedt was the home of the last two speakers of Southern Goesharde Frisian until it became extinct with their deaths in 1980 and 1981.

Wobbenbüll (Danish: Vobbenbøl, North Frisian: Wååbel) is a municipality in the district of Nordfriesland, in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany.
