Northwestern High School (Baltimore)

Fallstaff is a neighborhood in the Upper Park Heights area of Northwest Baltimore, Maryland, and is one of the city's northwesternmost communities. The area, which is mostly middle class, is part of the center of Baltimore's Orthodox Jewish community, and also has a heavy African-American and immigrant population. Fallstaff is home to several Baltimore City Public Schools, including Northwestern High School and Fallstaff Elementary Middle School (formerly Fallstaff Middle School). The main street that run through the area is Park Heights Avenue in Pikesville. Other streets include Fallstaff Road, on which both schools are located, and Clarks Lane. Fallstaff Road is mostly a residential side street on which duplexes, single-family houses, apartments, and condominiums are located. One block of Fallstaff Road is one way in order to reduce traffic from rat running. On the other hand, Clarks lane, which also is lined with similar types of structures, is two ways throughout and handles more traffic. Clarks Lane starts out across from the Reisterstown Road Plaza (sharing a traffic light with the parking lot) and continues to the city/county line, where it changes name to Sanzo Road, and ends shortly thereafter at Smith Avenue.

Samester Parkway Apartments is a historic apartment complex located at Baltimore, Maryland, United States. The 72-unit complex consists of two symmetrical detached wings, massed as stacked chevrons of six apartment buildings each, that face each other across a central courtyard. They are three-story, red brick, garden apartment structures. The complex was constructed in 1939 in the Art Deco style. It is an early example of Federal Housing Administration-financed garden apartments in Baltimore and is an excellent example of the American translation of European modern architectural style. On May 28, 2004, 3 children were beheaded in the apartments. Samester Parkway Apartments was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999.

The Reisterstown Road Plaza, usually known since its inception simply as "The Plaza," is a shopping center and mall located near the Reisterstown Plaza Metro Subway Station. Originally built as an outdoor shopping center (with two parallel rows of stores between the original anchors Hecht's and Stewarts), it was later converted into an indoor mall, and then expanded with big box stores in an outdoor shopping area. The Reisterstown Road Plaza opened in 1962. The anchor stores are Home Depot, Five Below, Petco, Marshalls, Giant, Shoppers World, and Big Lots. There are 2 vacant anchor stores that were once Modell's Sporting Goods and Burlington. Previous anchors at the Reisterstown Road Plaza were the now defunct chains of Stewart's/Caldor, Zayre/Ames, Hechinger, and Hecht's. Some of the stores and restaurants include Shoe City, Economy Shoes, Foot Locker, Big Lots Stores, Popeyes, Applebee's, Panda Express, KFC, Long John Silvers, and Checkers. The Plaza also houses a satellite campus of Baltimore City Community College, CJIS, Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services, Maryland Board of Nursing and the office of vital records for the state of Maryland.

The Baltimore Hebrew Congregation is a Reform Jewish congregation and synagogue located at 7401 Park Heights Avenue, in Pikesville, on the border of Baltimore City and Baltimore County, Maryland, in the United States.

Reisterstown Station is a neighborhood in the Northwest District of Baltimore, located between the neighborhoods of Glen (northeast) and Grove Park (southwest). The Baltimore County line is the neighborhood's western border. Its other boundaries are drawn by Reisterstown Road (northeast), West Northern Parkway (southeast), Crest Heights Road (northwest), Patterson Avenue and Wabash Avenue (southwest).Fallstaff Shopping Center is located in the northern corner of Reisterstown Station. Reisterstown Road Plaza, also known as The Plaza, is a mall located to the south of the smaller shopping center, along Reisterstown Road.The Reisterstown Plaza Metro station, on Wabash Avenue near its intersection with Patterson Avenue, gives neighborhood residents quick access to Downtown Baltimore and Johns Hopkins Hospital or Owings Mills, Maryland.Other MTA facilities on Wabash Avenue within the Reisterstown Station neighborhood include the Metro Operations, Systems Maintenance, Transportation & Maintenance and Railcar Maintenance offices and shops. These facilities maintain a rail yard along Wabash Avenue with 15 tracks, two maintenance shop buildings and a yard tower.

Reisterstown Plaza station is a Metro SubwayLink station in Baltimore, Maryland. It is located at the intersection of Patterson and Wabash Avenues, and is the fourth most northern and western station on the line, with approximately 700 parking spaces. It is within a close distance to the Reisterstown Road Plaza, for which it is named. It is also near the northwest division of the Maryland Transit Administration, where buses are stored. One bus currently serves this station: 82 to Monte Verde (SB)Prior to 1987, when the Metro was extended to Owings Mills, the Reisterstown Plaza station was the final stop on the line in the northwestern direction. In 1993, the Reisterstown Plaza station started to close early at 8 PM in order to save costs, and buses were extended to the Rogers Avenue station at the time. Within a few years, this early closure was abolished, and the station started to remain open until midnight again.

Congregation Tiferes Yisroel – Beis Dovid (Hebrew: תפארת ישראל בית דוד), also known as Rabbi Goldberger's Shul, is an Orthodox Jewish congregation and synagogue located at 6201 Park Heights Avenue, Baltimore, Maryland, in the United States. The congregation rabbi is Rabbi Menachem Goldberger.

Pikesville High School (PHS) is a four-year public high school in Baltimore County, Maryland, United States. It is part of the Baltimore County Public Schools consolidated school district. The school was opened in 1964 as Pikesville Senior High School with grades 9–11 and was renamed in the mid-1980s as part of a countywide grade realignment. The classes currently span on 80-minute periods with an A and B day schedule. The school has recently received a $40 million renovation, including a math wing and science wing that replaced a single hallway of rooms and adjacent courtyard. The other courtyard was filled with more learning spaces. The cafeteria was expanded along with asbestos removal. The school is located in the community of Pikesville, just inside Baltimore County to the northwest of Baltimore City. It is located on the corner of Smith Avenue and Labyrinth Road. The school's district borders Towson High School, Dulaney High School, Owings Mills High School, New Town High School, Randallstown High School, Milford Mill High School, and Woodlawn High School. In 2005, Pikesville High was named as one of the top 100 America's best high schools.

Dumbarton Historic District is a national historic district in Pikesville, Baltimore County, Maryland, United States. The suburban subdivision features curvilinear streets, generously sized lots, and naturalistic landscaping that generally reflect design principles associated with Frederick Law Olmsted. These features characterized the Roland Park Company's seminal developments. Many of subdivision's original residents were prominent Jewish merchants and industrialists, most of whom were of German descent.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2009.

Pikesville is a census-designated place (CDP) in Baltimore County, Maryland, United States. Pikesville is just northwest of the Baltimore city limits. It is the northwestern suburb closest to Baltimore. The population was 30,764 at the 2010 census. The corridor along Interstate 795, which links Pikesville, Owings Mills and Reisterstown to the Baltimore Beltway (Interstate 695), contains one of the larger Jewish populations in Maryland.

Forest Park (and Howard Park) is a region of Northwest Baltimore, Maryland located west of Reisterstown Road, south of Northern Parkway, and east of the Baltimore City/County line. In Baltimore, the region is referred to by locals simply as "Forest Park" and includes the neighborhoods of Ashburton, Callaway-Garrison, Central Forest Park, Dolfield, Dorchester, East Arlington, Forest Park, Grove Park, Hanlon Longwood, Howard Park, Garwyn Oaks, Purnell, West Arlington, West Forest Park, and Windsor Hills. Developed as suburban-type residential housing, it is an economically diverse area that was once the center of Baltimore's Jewish community as it moved from downtown. During the Vietnam War era, however, the area experienced white flight, while it was 95% White in 1960, it became 95% Black in 1970. It is now an almost exclusively African American region of Baltimore. The neighborhoods in Forest Park and Howard Park are varied. Some have suffered urban decay and crime related to the city's job losses, while many continue to be suburban and upper-middle-class neighborhoods. Ashburton, for instance, is the home of former city mayor Catherine Pugh, as well as past mayor Kurt Schmoke and other prominent African-American political leaders.

Cheswolde is residential community in northwest Baltimore, Maryland. It is located along the Western Run. The main roads running through the area are Greenspring Avenue, Cross Country Boulevard, and Taney Road. The history of Cheswolde dates back to the 18th century. At that time, Charles Carroll of Carrollton owned the land to the north of the Western Run in the vicinity of Greenspring Avenue and Pimlico Road.During the 19th century, the land along the Western Run was used for a mill that was damaged in a flood in 1868.The majority of Cheswolde's current homes were built in the 1950s and 1960s.Cheswolde has a large Orthodox Jewish population and is one of four areas of the Jewish community of northwest Baltimore. The others are Cross Country, Fallstaff, and Glen.
