Reisterstown Plaza station

Reisterstown Station is a neighborhood in the Northwest District of Baltimore, located between the neighborhoods of Glen (northeast) and Grove Park (southwest). The Baltimore County line is the neighborhood's western border. Its other boundaries are drawn by Reisterstown Road (northeast), West Northern Parkway (southeast), Crest Heights Road (northwest), Patterson Avenue and Wabash Avenue (southwest).Fallstaff Shopping Center is located in the northern corner of Reisterstown Station. Reisterstown Road Plaza, also known as The Plaza, is a mall located to the south of the smaller shopping center, along Reisterstown Road.The Reisterstown Plaza Metro station, on Wabash Avenue near its intersection with Patterson Avenue, gives neighborhood residents quick access to Downtown Baltimore and Johns Hopkins Hospital or Owings Mills, Maryland.Other MTA facilities on Wabash Avenue within the Reisterstown Station neighborhood include the Metro Operations, Systems Maintenance, Transportation & Maintenance and Railcar Maintenance offices and shops. These facilities maintain a rail yard along Wabash Avenue with 15 tracks, two maintenance shop buildings and a yard tower.

The Reisterstown Road Plaza, usually known since its inception simply as "The Plaza," is a shopping center and mall located near the Reisterstown Plaza Metro Subway Station. Originally built as an outdoor shopping center (with two parallel rows of stores between the original anchors Hecht's and Stewarts), it was later converted into an indoor mall, and then expanded with big box stores in an outdoor shopping area. The Reisterstown Road Plaza opened in 1962. The anchor stores are Home Depot, Five Below, Petco, Marshalls, Giant, Shoppers World, and Big Lots. There are 2 vacant anchor stores that were once Modell's Sporting Goods and Burlington. Previous anchors at the Reisterstown Road Plaza were the now defunct chains of Stewart's/Caldor, Zayre/Ames, Hechinger, and Hecht's. Some of the stores and restaurants include Shoe City, Economy Shoes, Foot Locker, Big Lots Stores, Popeyes, Applebee's, Panda Express, KFC, Long John Silvers, and Checkers. The Plaza also houses a satellite campus of Baltimore City Community College, CJIS, Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services, Maryland Board of Nursing and the office of vital records for the state of Maryland.

Fallstaff is a neighborhood in the Upper Park Heights area of Northwest Baltimore, Maryland, and is one of the city's northwesternmost communities. The area, which is mostly middle class, is part of the center of Baltimore's Orthodox Jewish community, and also has a heavy African-American and immigrant population. Fallstaff is home to several Baltimore City Public Schools, including Northwestern High School and Fallstaff Elementary Middle School (formerly Fallstaff Middle School). The main street that run through the area is Park Heights Avenue in Pikesville. Other streets include Fallstaff Road, on which both schools are located, and Clarks Lane. Fallstaff Road is mostly a residential side street on which duplexes, single-family houses, apartments, and condominiums are located. One block of Fallstaff Road is one way in order to reduce traffic from rat running. On the other hand, Clarks lane, which also is lined with similar types of structures, is two ways throughout and handles more traffic. Clarks Lane starts out across from the Reisterstown Road Plaza (sharing a traffic light with the parking lot) and continues to the city/county line, where it changes name to Sanzo Road, and ends shortly thereafter at Smith Avenue.

Northwestern High School was a public high school located in Baltimore, Maryland, from 1965 to 2017. When it was built in 1965, it was racially integrated. The school's Track & Field teams from the 1970's and 1980's were some of the state's best, winning multiple MSA A Conference Championships. When plans were announced in 2016 to close the school, alumni and community leaders mounted an ultimately unsuccessful campaign to keep it open. Northwestern High School closed at the end of the 2016–2017 school year, having been merged with Forest Park High School as part of the city school district's "21st Century Schools Building Plan" to consolidate and modernize its schools in response to declining enrollments. Student records are obtainable through BCPS school headquarters.

Samester Parkway Apartments is a historic apartment complex located at Baltimore, Maryland, United States. The 72-unit complex consists of two symmetrical detached wings, massed as stacked chevrons of six apartment buildings each, that face each other across a central courtyard. They are three-story, red brick, garden apartment structures. The complex was constructed in 1939 in the Art Deco style. It is an early example of Federal Housing Administration-financed garden apartments in Baltimore and is an excellent example of the American translation of European modern architectural style. On May 28, 2004, 3 children were beheaded in the apartments. Samester Parkway Apartments was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999.

Congregation Tiferes Yisroel – Beis Dovid (Hebrew: תפארת ישראל בית דוד), also known as Rabbi Goldberger's Shul, is an Orthodox Jewish congregation and synagogue located at 6201 Park Heights Avenue, Baltimore, Maryland, in the United States. The congregation rabbi is Rabbi Menachem Goldberger.

Glen is a neighborhood in Baltimore, Maryland. It was developed in the early 1920s and 1930s, with the remaining development coming in the 1940s through the 1960s. Glen is one of the largest communities of Northern Park Heights in Baltimore. Glen is a neighborhood of mixed housing types that include Tudor, French Norman and brick ranch houses, along with garden apartments, condominiums and semi-detached single family homes. The neighborhood, and its notable coexistence of African Americans and Orthodox Jews, have at least twice been featured in The Baltimore Sun: April 29, 2001, and May 13, 2004. The neighborhood's motto is "Glen is a Great Place to Live".

The Baltimore Hebrew Congregation is a Reform Jewish congregation and synagogue located at 7401 Park Heights Avenue, in Pikesville, on the border of Baltimore City and Baltimore County, Maryland, in the United States.

Wabash Avenue is a six-lane boulevard in northwest Baltimore, Maryland, that runs from Patterson Avenue to Hilton Street, mostly through the Arlington community, crossing over Northern Parkway and Cold Spring Lane along the way. The road starts near the Reisterstown Plaza Metro Subway Station and continues to just past the West Coldspring Metro Subway Station, where it narrows and becomes a one-way pair with Dorithan Road, which ends several blocks later at Hilton Street. Wabash Avenue actually begins as a stub near the Reisterstown Road Plaza. The stub exists where a longer road was intended as part of the original plans of Interstate 795. This portion of I-795, which would have run through historic Sudbrook Park before reaching the city, was fought and ultimately cancelled as a result of complaints from Sudbrook Park residents. This led to the cancellation of all parts of I-795 within the city, and its truncation to I-695 (the Baltimore Beltway) near the suburb of Pikesville. Still, the road was constructed as a Boulevard, and the Metro Subway was constructed along an overhead track directly parallel to the road. Three stations of the Metro system (Reisterstown Plaza, Rogers Avenue and West Coldspring) are located along Wabash Avenue. A second street, which also carries the Wabash Avenue name, branches north off Liberty Heights Avenue near Mondawmin Mall before coming to a dead end at an apartment complex situated near the Metro tracks south of the West Coldspring Station; it does not connect to the other Wabash Avenue. South of Liberty Heights Avenue, the road continues as Dukeland Street. A third street that carries the Wabash Avenue name is located in the suburb of Reisterstown, Maryland, and acts as a connector between Butler Road (MD 128) and Chatsworth Avenue, coming to a dead end beyond the latter road.
