Ikegami Station

Onoe stable (Japanese: 尾上部屋, Hepburn: Onoe-beya) is a stable of sumo wrestlers, part of the Dewanoumi group of stables. It is situated in Tokyo's Ōta ward. It was established in August 2006 by former komusubi Hamanoshima, who branched off from Mihogaseki stable and took several of its leading wrestlers with him. For its first few years, Onoe stable was located in what was essentially a "converted garage," where numerous miscellaneous items were only about a meter away from the edge of the practice ring's straw bales.In November 2007, it had eight wrestlers, half of whom were ranked as sekitori (in the top two divisions). In 2011, three of its wrestlers, former maegashira ranked Sakaizawa, and Yamamotoyama and the former jūryō Shirononami, were forced to retire after being found guilty by the Japan Sumo Association of match-fixing. The retirements of Satoyama in November 2018 and Tenkaihō in March 2019 left the stable with no wrestlers in the top two divisions until Ryūkō reached jūryō in July 2019, but he suddenly left sumo in September 2021 due to an ankle injury. As of January 2023, Onoe stable has 12 wrestlers. It has posted regular updates from its Facebook page since training at the stable was curtailed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Tokyo Metropolitan Ōmori High School (東京都立大森高等学校, Tōkyō Toritsu Ōmori Kōtōgakkō) is a Japanese high school located in the Ōmori area of Ōta, Tokyo. The school's nickname is Morikō (森高, roughly "Mori High"). Tōkyū Ikegami Line's Ikegami Station is located near the school.

Ikegami Honmon-ji (池上本門寺) is a temple of the Nichiren Shū south of Tokyo, erected where Nichiren is said to have died. Also Nichiren's disciple Nikkō spent the rest of his life at this temple. The temple grounds also include Nichiren Shū's administrative headquarters. A short walk from Ikegami Station (Tōkyū Ikegami Line) or Nishi-Magome Station (Toei Asakusa Line), Ikegami Honmon-ji contains a number of buildings, most of which have been reconstructed since the bombing of 15 March 1945. They include the Important Cultural Property designated five-storey pagoda built in 1608, the kyōzō (経蔵, repository of religious writings) built in 1784, and the hōtō (宝塔), built in 1781 where Nichiren was cremated. Other buildings have been rebuilt, or newly constructed, since 1945. Now in Ōta-ku, suburban Tokyo, Ikegami Honmon-ji was at some distance from the city until the mid-20th century. Basil Hall Chamberlain and W. B. Mason wrote of it in 1907: "Its fine situation and magnificent timber make it one of the most attractive points within easy reach of Tōkyō."The area between the station and the temple hosts a large festival, O-Eshiki (お会式), from 11 to 13 October, with mandō (万灯, an elaborate representation of a lantern stand) and matoi; thousands of worshippers visit the temple.

Katayanagi Arena is an event venue in Tokyo, Japan. It is located in the basement of a building of the Nippon Engineering College. It is used not only by the college but also for public events including basketball matches, concerts and TV programs. Basketball team Earth Friends Tokyo Z of Japans's B.League plays games there. Amongst the television programs recorded in the arena are the National High School Quiz Championship and NTV's entertainment shows Kasou Taishou and Singing King (ja).
