Carmel Head (Welsh: Trwyn y Gadair) is a prominent coastal headland on the northwest tip of the island of Anglesey. It is a designated SSSI because of its geological interest for the Carmel Head Thrust fault where Precambrian rocks have been pushed over younger Ordovician rocks creating the Carmel Head thrust. Rock exposures along the cliffs of Carmel Head include Precambrian gneisses, which are almost certainly the oldest rocks in Wales. In the summer months the Anglesey Coastal Path passes over Carmel Head on a permissive path but in winter the path is closed to all for pheasant shooting. Most of the land on the head, which peaks at 81 metres above sea level, is owned and managed by the National Trust.

West Mouse (Welsh: Maen y Bugail) is an islet lying 1.1 kilometres (0.68 mi) off the north-west coast of Anglesey, Wales. Its maximum dimensions are 92 by 82 metres (302 by 269 ft), with an area of 1.2 acres (4,900 m2). It is located in an area of notoriously strong tides. Because of this, at least three shipwrecks lie near it, making it a popular diving location. There is now a white beacon on the island which is used as a navigational aid if lined up with two other beacons, one on the Anglesey mainland and another on Coal Rock, an islet a mile and a half north. The area also host to species such as hornwrack, sea squirts and conger eels. The island is part of a set of three spread out along the north coast of Anglesey. The other two islands are Ynys Amlwch and Ynys Badrig. The Welsh name Maen y Bugail translates into English as The Shepherd's Stone. This comes from a folklore tale in which a shepherd who was looking for his sheep was annoyed by a stone in his shoe. He took the stone out and threw it into the Irish Sea, the island arising at the place in which it landed.

Llanfair-yng-Nghornwy (, also spelt Llanfairynghornwy) is a village in Anglesey, in north-west Wales. A sparsely populated parish, it contains two well known geographical features; Carmel Head and, offshore, The Skerries islands with their lighthouse. Until 1984, Llanfairynghornwy was a community. Today it is part of the community of Cylch-y-Garn.

Clegir Mawr is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) in the community of Cylch-y-Garn in the north-west of the island of Anglesey, Wales. It is a stony coastal headland with an area just under 10 hectares (25 acres) and has been designated principally because of the occurrence of the spotted rock-rose (Tuberaria guttata) which is a nationally rare plant and also the county flower of Anglesey.

Church Bay (Welsh: Porth Swtan) is a settlement on the north-west coast of Anglesey, Wales, United Kingdom, about a mile and a half north-west of the village of Llanfaethlu. The bay shores are rocky but there is also a sandy beach which is popular with visitors. There are a handful of houses near the beach. The Anglesey Coastal Path runs along the cliff tops. There are records of the Swttan settlement going back to the reign of King Henry VIII, but there has probably been a settlement there for many centuries before this. Most of the properties are holiday homes for rent. Amenities include a cafe and a small museum based in a preserved 17th-century thatched cottage. This cottage's position could indicate that there has been a dwelling on this site since Neolithic times. The cottage won the Rural Wales Award from the Campaign for the Protection of Rural Wales (CPRW) in 2003.There is also a ruined windmill, Melin Drylliau (Caerau Mill), first recorded in 1840 and destroyed in a fire in 1914. It was built and owned by the Williams family who owned a number of mills across the island. The nearby sandy beach is named Porth Swtan (Port Whiting). The 61 bus route from Holyhead to Amlwch stops infrequently in the area.

Henborth is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (or SSSI) in Anglesey, North Wales. It has been designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest since October 1989 in an attempt to protect its fragile geological elements. The site has an area of 10.96 hectares and is managed by Natural Resources Wales.

St Rhwydrys's Church is a medieval church near the village of Cemlyn on the Isle of Anglesey in Wales. The building dates from the mid-12th century and underwent renovations in the 19th century. It was designated a Grade II*-listed building on 12 May 1970.

Caerau, Cylch-y-Garn is an area in the community of Cylch-y-Garn, Isle of Anglesey, Wales.

Rhydwyn (; Rhyd-Wyn) is a village in the community of Cylch-y-Garn, in the north west of Anglesey, Wales. Rhydwyn is named after a little stream that once crossed the centre of the village. "Rhyd" meaning Ford and "Wyn" white. It now runs through a culvert under the road.
