Church Bay, Anglesey

Clegir Mawr is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) in the community of Cylch-y-Garn in the north-west of the island of Anglesey, Wales. It is a stony coastal headland with an area just under 10 hectares (25 acres) and has been designated principally because of the occurrence of the spotted rock-rose (Tuberaria guttata) which is a nationally rare plant and also the county flower of Anglesey.

Carreglwyd is a Georgian country house, northwest of Llanfaethlu, Anglesey, Wales, which became a Grade II* listed building in 1952. Its gardens and parkland are listed as Grade II* on the Cadw/ICOMOS Register of Parks and Gardens of Special Historic Interest in Wales.The earliest mention of the estate is in 1544, when William Griffiths, the Rector of Llanfaethlu, whose ancestors were the Griffiths family of Penrhyn, bought a house named "Ty'n y Pant". His grandson, the Chancellor William Griffiths, oversaw the building of a new house on the site in 1634. Another William Griffiths, the Chancellor's grandson, made further alterations in the late 17th century and early 18th century, the oldest of which remains in the southwest side of the house. The fine hall of the house dates to this period. During the ownership of Holland Griffiths (1756-1839) in the late 18th and early 19th century, further remodelling of the estate was conducted, during which time the dining room, sitting room and library were given a major renovation. The interior was updated in the 1980s.

Rhydwyn (; Rhyd-Wyn) is a village in the community of Cylch-y-Garn, in the north west of Anglesey, Wales. Rhydwyn is named after a little stream that once crossed the centre of the village. "Rhyd" meaning Ford and "Wyn" white. It now runs through a culvert under the road.

It is one of a number of churches in the parish and benefice of Bro Padrig, the appointed clergyman being the Reverend T. J. Jones. The building dates from the 15th century and underwent renovations in the early twentieth century. It was designated a Grade II*-listed building on 4 May 1971.

Llanfwrog is a village in Anglesey, in north-west Wales. It lies about 4 miles (6.4 km) to the northeast of Holyhead. The village lies near the coast about a mile east of Beach Gribin. A country road connects it with the A5025 road, one mile east, and Llanfaethlu, approximately 2.5 miles (4 km) to the north. According to tradition, it was founded by Saint Mwrog. In the Welsh language Llanfwrog translates as the place/church of St. Mwrog. The only other place that is associated with the name of a Saint Mwrog is Llanfwrog, Denbighshire. In the Middle Ages Llanfwrog parish lay in the commote Talybolion in the Hundred of Cemaes. The church belonged to the rectory of the parish of Llan by the eighteenth century.
