Flint Northern High School was a public secondary school located in Flint, Michigan. The original building "#1" was built in 1928 and demolished in the 1980s, after being the home of the Flint Academy. It was one of the high schools in the Flint Community Schools district along with Flint Northwestern High School (now Flint Junior High School) and Flint Southwestern Academy. It was closed in 2013 and reopened as Northern Academy. The Flint school board finally closed the school completely in 2014.

The Civic Park Historic District is a primarily residential historic district roughly bounded by Welch and Brownell Boulevards Trumbull Avenue, Dupont Street, and Dartmouth Street, in Flint, Michigan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

The Calvin Coolidge Elementary School is a former school building located at 3701 Van Buren Avenue in Flint, Michigan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2018.The school was constructed in 1928, with additions in 1951 and 1970. It closed its doors in 2011. In 2018, Communities First began plans to renovate the building into apartments and commercial space.

Genesee County is noted for having had the fossil of an ancient whale known as Balaenoptera Lacepede unearthed in Thetford Township during quarry work and estimated at 11,000 years old.

Flint Park was a theme park located in the city of Flint, Michigan, USA. The park was located next to Flint Park Lake (also known as Devil's Lake) on the north side of the city. The park, settled on 40 acres of land next to the 19-acre (77,000 m2) lake, opened on May 30, 1921 and closed down in 1961. The amusement park was torn down in late 1963 or early 1964.
