Oroville Municipal Airport (IATA: OVE, ICAO: KOVE) is a public airport located 3 miles (5 km) southwest of the city of Oroville in Butte County, California, United States.

East Biggs (formerly, Rio Bonito) is a small unincorporated community in Butte County, California. It lies at an elevation of 121 feet (37 m). The town was founded on the Northern Electric Railroad. Rio Bonito post office opened in 1909 and closed it in 1914.

Rancho Fernandez was a 17,806-acre (72.06 km2) Mexican land grant in present-day Butte County, California given to Dionisio Zenon Fernandez and Máximo Zenon Fernandez in 1846 by Governor Pío Pico. The area is generally considered an integral part of Oroville, and borders the town on two sides, in addition to the near-enclave of the city of Oroville surrounded by Thermalito on all sides, with the exception of the extremely narrow spit of land connecting Afterbay to Oroville proper.

Bagdad is a former settlement and mining camp in Butte County, California, United States. It was located on the Feather River 2 miles (3.2 km) downstream from Oroville. It was located at a bluff and its name later changed to Ophir, then became part of Oroville. Gold was discovered at Bagdad by A.G. Simpson. Several mines operated at Bagdad, including the War Eagle Mine and the Orange Blossom Mines.
