The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology Library is housed in the Lee Shau Kee Library, located at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. It has over 1 million books, 728,426 printed volumes 754,146 in electronic format, as well as tens of thousands of e-journals, and streaming audio and video collections. A good part of its special collections, like its Antique Maps of China Collection has been digitized. Opening its doors in 1991, David Wilson, Baron Wilson of Tillyorn who was the Governor of Hong Kong at the time, was impressed by the fact that the Library had an advanced bilingual Chinese and English online catalog. The Library continued to be a pioneer in library and information services, rolling out the first large-scale campus-wide CD-ROM network in Asian academic libraries; and in 1993 an early Course Reserve Image system. In 1995, its CD-ROM juke-box was the largest such installation outside of the USA and it also had launched the first academic Library Web Server in Hong Kong in 1995 as well. In its first 10 years, it became a mirror site for some subscription databases, and implemented wide-scale XML-based database projects and other innovations.Joining the Scholarly Publishing and Academic Research Coalition (SPARC) in 1999 it has also been a long-time promoter of open access. It launched the first Institutional Repository in Hong Kong in 2003 and members of the library's Reference team worked to promote it among faculty members.From 2011 through 2012 the Library built an extension of 1,800 square meters and renovated an existing 1,800 sq.m. into a Learning Commons. The HKUST Learning Commons provides ~600 seats and has 5 zones: Group Study, Open Study, Refreshment, Teaching, and The Creative Media Zone.The Library and its staff were very active in supporting the university in the University Grants Committee (Hong Kong)'s Hong Kong Research Assessment Exercise of 2014. In 2014, it launched the first WhatsApp service in Hong Kong academic library.HKUST Library is an active member of the Joint University Librarians Advisory Committee (JULAC), which is a consortium of the libraries of the eight universities funded by the University Grants Committee (Hong Kong). In 2014, years of coordination and work bore fruit when a new Hong Kong JULAC Common Library Card was launched. 2014 also saw the launch of the large system-wide JULAC Shared ILS Project, which officially lasted from May 2014 through July 2017. The front-end of the new ILS at HKUST is called PowerSearch. HKUST Library systems staff have worked to use the capabilities of both Alma and Primo to create "Knowledge Cards", which enhance discovery via bibliographic linked data HKUST Library is proactive and innovative in its staff training and development and developing leadership The Library now has a Dataverse based research data repository and management service known as DataSpace@HKUST.

The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) is a public research university in Clear Water Bay Peninsula, New Territories, Hong Kong. Founded in 1991 by the British Hong Kong Government, it was the territory's third institution to be granted university status. HKUST is commonly regarded as one of the fastest growing universities in the world, and has consistently been ranked among the top 50 or top 100 universities worldwide. The campaign focused on six areas – biomedicine, material science and future energy, artificial intelligence, fintech, green technology and art technology.

Kohima Camp or Kohima Barracks as it was officially described (Chinese: 高希馬軍營) in Tai Po Tsai north of Clear Water Bay Peninsula was the site of a proposed new army barracks to house an additional British infantry battalion to be stationed in Hong Kong following a review of the needs of Hong Kong which had taken place over 1980-1981. The purpose of the British Hong Kong Garrison and of its reinforcement by an additional infantry battalion was intended to demonstrate the British Government's commitment to the integrity and the security of Hong Kong in the run up to 1997. The land acquisition and construction works for the barracks were to be undertaken by the Hong Kong Government. Under the Hong Kong Defence Costs Agreement signed in 1981, the Hong Kong Government was required to bear 75% of the costs of maintaining the British garrison. The plans to introduce an additional infantry battalion and to complete the construction of the barracks were cancelled in 1984 following the Sino-British Joint Declaration on the Future of Hong Kong. The land became the site of the new Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 1986.Before the construction of the university, The Scout Association of Hong Kong made use of the camp as the site for the Hong Kong Diamond Jubilee Jamboree for the 75th anniversary of Hong Kong Scouting between 27 December 1986 and 1 January 1997.

The School of Business and Management is the business school of The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), today considered one of the world's leading business schools in Asia. Established in 1991 in Hong Kong, it offers undergraduate degrees, full-time MBA, EMBA in partnership with Kellogg School of Management, MSc, PhD, and Executive Education programs. HKUST Business School is also one of the first Asian business schools accredited by both the US-based Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International) and the European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS).The Business School is well recognized for focusing on new technologies, thanks to a large variety of study tracks and proximity with the Nanshan District of Shenzhen.It has six academic departments: Accounting, Economics, Finance, Marketing, Management, and Information System, Business Statistics, and Operations Management (ISOM).

Razor Hill, also locally known as Che Kwu Shan (Chinese: 鷓鴣山), is a hill between Pik Uk, Ta Ku Ling, Tseung Kwan O, and Tai Po Tsai in the New Territories of Hong Kong. It is 432 metres tall. The north and east mid slopes are skirted by Clear Water Bay Road.

Ta Ku Ling (Chinese: 打鼓嶺) is an area in the New Territories, Hong Kong, at the junction of Hiram's Highway and Clear Water Bay Road. Northeast of Razor Hill and south of a hill of same name, the area administratively belongs to Sai Kung District. Ta Ku Ling Village and Ta Ku Ling New Village (Ta Ku Ling San Tsuen) are both located in this area.

Yau Yue Wan Village (Chinese: 魷魚灣村) is a village in the Po Lam area of Tseung Kwan O, in the Sai Kung District of Hong Kong.

Po Lam Estate (Chinese: 寶林邨) is a mixed TPS and public housing estate in Tseung Kwan O, New Territories, Hong Kong, near Metro City and MTR Po Lam station. It is the first public housing estate in Tseung Kwan O and has a total of seven residential blocks with 5,272 units. Some of the flats were sold to tenants through Tenants Purchase Scheme Phase 6A in 2004.Ying Ming Court (英明苑) and Yan Ming Court (欣明苑) are Home Ownership Scheme housing courts in Tseung Kwan O near Po Lam Estate, built in 1989 and 1990 respectively.

Carmel Divine Grace Foundation Secondary School is located in Po Lam, Tseung Kwan O, Sai Kung District, New Territories, Hong Kong, China. It is the first secondary school in the new town of Tseung Kwan O, and the oldest school teaching in English in Sai Kung District.
