Bentley Canal

Darlaston Town (1874) Football Club is an English association football club that represents the town of Darlaston, West Midlands. They are currently members of the Midland League Premier Division and play at the Bentley Sports Pavilion, Darlaston in the Metropolitan Borough of Walsall.

The Anson Branch is a short canal in the West Midlands, England. It runs for just over one mile from its junction with the Walsall Canal near Forster's bridge. It forms part of the Birmingham Canal Navigations. The canal is only partially watered and is no longer navigable. It formerly connected with the now defunct Bentley Canal which, in turn, connected with the Wyrley and Essington Canal. The canal has no locks.

Darlaston James Bridge railway station was a station built on the Grand Junction Railway in 1837, serving the James Bridge area east of the town centre of Darlaston, near the junction of Walsall Road and Bentley Mill Way. Prior to September 1863 the station was, at various times, suffixed James' Bridge, James's Bridge and Green. On 14 September 1863 a station was opened on the Darlaston Loop off the South Staffordshire Line which was named Darlaston. The original station then became known as James Bridge. On 1 November 1887 the 'new' Darlaston station closed and the original station changed its name to James Bridge for Darlaston. In March 1889 the name changed to Darlaston and James Bridge.

The James Bridge Copper Works was a copper refining plant in Walsall, Staffordshire, England. It was established as a smelting plant in 1917 on a site formerly used for ironstone and coal mining and as a brickworks. From 1920 it was owned by the Wolverhampton Metal Company who expanded the works. It was temporarily closed in 1931–2 because of local pollution issues and during the Second World War due to blackout regulations. After the war the plant specialised in reclamation of copper from waste materials and became a leader in that field, helping to alleviate a national shortage of copper; by 1964 the plant had electrowinning facilities. The works were purchased by Imperial Metal Industries Limited in 1967 and the electrowinning facilities were greatly expanded over the following decades. The site closed in 1999. The site had been heavily contaminated by its industrial use and came into the ownership of Walsall Council, who proposed remediation works by 2011, and Homes England. The site, known as Phoenix 10, was proposed for redevelopment into commercial units and permission for this was granted in April 2021. Henry Boot plc commenced remediation works in May 2021.

E-ACT West Walsall Academy (WWA, formerly Alumwell Business and Enterprise College) is an 11–18 mixed secondary school and sixth form with academy status in Walsall, West Midlands, England. It was a community school that was established in 1971 and had Business and Enterprise College status since September 2003. It adopted its present name after becoming an academy in 2012.

Bentley is an area in the Metropolitan Borough of Walsall located around Junction 10 of the M6 Motorway. It is also a rural village of houses towards its eastern sides. It shares borders with the areas of Willenhall, Beechdale, Ashmore Park, Pleck, Darlaston and Alumwell.

Pouk Hill is a hill located in Walsall, West Midlands, England. The hill is situated off Bloxwich Lane in the Birchills area of the town, and overlooks the M6 motorway as well as the Beechdale housing estate.

St Andrew's Church is a Free Church of England church in Bentley, Walsall, West Midlands. Three services are held weekly, Sunday at 10am, 11:30am and 6pm. The minister is Mark Spiers. Family praise leader is Matthew Spiers. The bishop is Paul Hunt. There are youth groups with 30-40 members, a lunch club, a friendship group, prayer meetings, bible study, and a coffee and chat program.

All Saints’ Church, Darlaston is a parish church in the Church of England in Darlaston, West Midlands County, England.

Pleck, in the borough of Walsall, neighbours Palfrey and stretches from the bridge on Wednesbury Road to Junction 9 of the M6 motorway. It consists of a large green space called Pleck Park and housing estates. Pleck is close to Walsall Manor Hospital and Bescot Stadium, home of Walsall F.C. The population of this Walsall ward taken at the 2011 Census was 15,014.The neighbourhood has a primary school. Most of the houses on the estate were built by the local authority during the 1950s. The Walsall-Wolverhampton Line runs alongside Pleck Park, and once included Pleck railway station.

Bentley railway station was a railway station built by the Wolverhampton and Walsall Railway in 1872, and was operated by the Midland Railway from 1876 onwards. Situated on Bloxwich Lane, it served the area of Bentley, located between Willenhall and Walsall in the English West Midlands (then in Staffordshire). The station closed in 1898.
