Almaden station

Guadalupe Creek is a 10.5 miles (16.9 km) northward-flowing stream originating just east of the peak of Mount Umunhum in Santa Clara County, California, United States. It courses along the northwestern border of Almaden Quicksilver County Park in the Cañada de los Capitancillos before joining Los Alamitos Creek after the latter exits Lake Almaden. This confluence forms the Guadalupe River mainstem, which in turn flows through San Jose and empties into south San Francisco Bay at Alviso Slough.

Alamitos Creek or Los Alamitos Creek is a 7.7-mile-long (12.4 km) creek in San Jose, California, which becomes the Guadalupe River when it exits Lake Almaden and joins Guadalupe Creek. Los Alamitos Creek is located in Almaden Valley and originates from the Los Capitancillos Ridge in the Santa Cruz Mountains, near New Almaden. This creek flows through the Valley's Guadalupe Watershed, which is owned by the Santa Clara Valley Water District. The creek flows in a generally northwesterly direction after rounding the Los Capitancillos Ridge and the town of New Almaden, in the southwest corner, before ambling along the Santa Teresa Hills on northeast side of the Almaden Valley. Its environment has some relatively undisturbed areas and considerable lengths of suburban residential character. Originally called Arroyo de los Alamitos, the creek's name is derived from "little poplar", "alamo" being the Spanish word for "poplar" or "cottonwood".

Oakridge was a light rail station on the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) light rail system. This station was served by VTA's Ohlone/Chynoweth–Almaden line, popularly known as the Almaden Shuttle. The station had one platform, and was only accessed by the street. There was no parking available at the station.

Ohlone/Chynoweth station is a light rail station on the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) light rail system. The station is served by the system's Blue Line. Until the end of 2019, it served as the terminus of the little-used, stub Ohlone/Chynoweth–Almaden line, popularly known as the Almaden Shuttle. It was part of the original Guadalupe Line, the first segment of light rail from Santa Teresa to Tasman. The shuttle was replaced by the 64A bus line.

The Old Almadén Winery is a historic wine production site in Santa Clara County, California situated on the eastern slopes of the Santa Cruz Mountains. The winery is no longer in operation, the Almaden Vineyards company moved to Madera, California, and the vestigial remains of the property have been made into a public park; much of the prior winery grounds have also been converted to single family residential uses, following a series of environmental planning studies. Established in 1852, the Old Almaden Winery was the oldest winery in California, and the site is designated as a California Historical Landmark.One of the old remaining heritage trees from the estate is a 72"-diameter California Pepper Tree, previously part of the old mansion grounds on the winery estate.

Almaden Vineyards, historically written as Almadén Vineyards, is a Californian winery. Founded in 1852, it is the oldest commercial winery in California. Originally located and established in Almaden Valley, San Jose, the winery has since moved to the San Joaquín Valley, primarily based in Escalon and Madera. The Old Almadén Winery in San Jose is a registered California Historical Landmark and open to the public.

Branham station is a light rail station operated by Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA). The station is served by the Blue Line of the VTA Light Rail system and is connected to the Highway 87 bikeway. Branham station is located in the median of State Route 87, near Branham Lane in San Jose, California. It was part of the original Guadalupe Line, the first segment of light rail from Santa Teresa to Tasman.

Almaden Valley (Spanish: Valle de Almadén), commonly known simply as Almaden (Spanish: Almadén), is a valley and neighborhood of San Jose, California, located in South San Jose. It is nestled between the Santa Cruz Mountains to the west and the Santa Teresa Hills to the east. Almaden, named after the ancient Spanish mining town of Almadén, traces its history back to the 1820s, when Mexican miners discovered mercury deposits on Rancho Los Capitancillos, which later led to the establishment of the New Almaden mines. Almaden Valley, known for its abundant parkland, is one of the most expensive neighborhoods to live in San Jose and is consistently ranked as one of the most expensive areas in the country.

The Church of the Transfiguration is a Roman Catholic parish community, located in San Jose, California. The parish serves 750 families in the Diocese of San Jose. The church was founded in 1965 as a parish of the Archdiocese of San Francisco, and is named for the Transfiguration of Jesus.
